Photoshop Elements :: Ability To Switch Language
Aug 2, 2013Does Adobe have a dictionary to translate menu options or even better a ability to switch language in Photoshop Elements 11?
It's a real pain when you use guides on the internet and they are in for example English and you use a Swedish version of PE11. I have found some English to Swedish translations but only parts of the menu options are covered and mostly for older versions of PE meaning many options are missing in the translations.

Mar 22, 2013I need to turn a B&W photo into screen print art without using a line screen (just block colours) - essentially I'm creating a 3 colour black and white images using:
- PANTONE 4625 C
- PANTONE Warm Gray 6 C
- PANTONE Warm Gray 1 C
Using a bunch of techniques (unsharp mask, tritone and posterize) I have line art that looks great with a posterize level of 4. But I've noticed that Photoshop is using my Tritone colours to mix itself an extra tone - and if I switch to a level of 3, Photoshop chooses to remove the level that PANTONE Warm Gray 1 C uses which deletes all the highlight detail.
Is there a way I can specify colours that Posterize uses?Or is there a different approch I can use to split the tones into the ones in the Tritone?
I've tried playing with the curves in the Tritone window to try and influence the colours photoshop uses (so no colour mixing) but maybe I need to somehow save the Tritone layers into the channels pallate?

Aug 24, 2012Maybe it's because I have a mind-dulling headache today, but I'm just not seeing the way to either create an inverted vector mask or invert an existing one.
For example, in the following layer stack, I'd like the vector mask on the group to create a transparent hole in the image, rather than make the outer part of the image transparent. Note that the [Invert] button in the Properties panel is unavailable (grayed-out).
If I could have created the vector mask in the first place using the rectangle tool, but inverted, that would have been okay as well, but somehow the sequence to do that escaped me as well. I know how to do this with a selection, but I'd rather keep it in vector land.

Meaning, when I go to draw a line I don't have that option to just type in 2.00 or whatever measurement I need. Same with drawing a rectangle or fillet; the down arrow prompt has dissappeared and I no longer can specify length by width (or radius/dia with fillet). Aug 11, 2012What I think would be useful to have is the ability to add visual annotations to the images and the ability to label the spot adjustments (sky adjustment, face dodge, tree sharpness, etc). When something has a lot of dodging and burning or simply brushes that control spot saturation, moire, sharpness, etc it's difficult to know which little circle to click on when there are more than 3 or 4. This is especially useful when image has been worked on a few weeks prior. Being able to make visual notes to self on top of the image is useful if something comes to mind for the next next time I have time to work on the image.

Aug 29, 2011Capturing sd dv from a sony handycam using VS9 and a USB conection to pc. Few days ago all seemed to be ok was able to capture at 640x480 (I think) but now for some reason information section is showing 320x240 with a corresponding really poor quality preview. No matter what changes I try to make in the capture options or project properties etc it will not now allow me to capture at a higher quality. The options menus don't even show a higher quality available than 320x240. Tried at both AVI and Mpeg format capture settings but no change.

Aug 25, 2013I've noticed that in Paint Tool SAI (which I really wish I could buy but I have no money) has two things I wish GIMP could do.
1: SAI has an ability to rotate the view without rotating the image itself.(rotating a graphics tablet to comfortably get the pen stroke right.) Is there any way this could be implemented into a new update of GIMP?
2: SAI has really good pressure sensitivity and natural *smooth* pressure strokes. I've kinda noticed GIMP is geared more towards Mouse/Touch pad art creation; is there any way to get pressure sensitivity into the program?
I'm afraid to use GIMP anymore because the whole program takes about 20 minutes to load, from clicking the application icon on my desktop. Once it's up though, it functions well. Even after I close it out, and end up clicking the application icon again, it takes another 20 minutes to load up.
Illustrator :: No Longer Have Ability To Change Artboard Size

As I recall, you used to be able to change the artboard size when you first hit shift + O. There was a window for it at the top of the screen. Now,..for some reason that option is not there. It only gives me the ability to change the x and y coordinates. I have to double click the artboard tool to change the size of the artboard(s). How do I get back that ability?
