View 2 RepliesI have a jpeg sequence of 165 frames in my psd animation. Upon export (as an .mov file), I need to keep frames 1-29 and 80-165 as is, but speed up frames 30-79. How can achieve this in PS CS4?
I have tried exporting each of the clips individually and then brought them into i Movie to speed up the middle portion and subsequently re-piece them all together. This works great, but I am not familiar enough with i Movie or Premiere Pro to export the file properly; it seems to not allow me to export it with the same specs (mainly size, 1280x1024 at 30fps) as my source files.
I'm trying to do is take a video file and make a part of it into an animated gif. I only just got Photoshop CS (Version 8.0) and so I'm still a bit of a clutz with it. What I'm doing is going into ImageReady and using the "File > Open" option to open the video, I edit it down to the length I want with the dialog that pops up. Then I adjust the video and canvas size to my needs. But I can't find any option to control the speed. While I'm editing it the animation runs in slow motion, and when I save it to gif it still runs in slow motion. However, if I save it as a QuickTime file or something, it runs at normal speed. How can I change the frames per second or at least get it to run at the normal speed it does in the video for a gif file?
The only way I've found so far is to edit out frames from the animation, but then it comes out choppy. I've asked in several other places and looked at tutorials and they say to use the "File > Save to web" option. But there does not seem to be any such option and I think they may be referring to older versions. How can I do this in the version I have?
Is there a way to speed up animation? For example I have 5 sec animation. I want to play it normally (5sec) and play it reverse for 2 sec.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working on making a .gif animation in Gimp 2.6, and it seems to work just fine in the preview playback. However, when I export it to .gif and view it, the .gif moves as if each frame is supposed to be displayed for 100ms. Why is this happening?
When I export it as an animation to .gif, I do not check the box that says "use delay entered above for all frames, but the delay still says 100ms. I select "don't care" for frame disposal and use that for all frames. Is there an incorrect setting here?
The correct frame rates are as follows:
1000ms x1 frame
10ms x13 frames
50ms x4 frames
1400ms x1 frame
500ms x6 frames
5000ms x1 frame

The stage size you see above is H: 400px, W: 550px.
I would like for the stage to be smaller, say H:50px./W:400px
Ok so if I change the size of the stage the animation text will not show, so I need to adjust the position of the text in order for the animation text to be visible, but in doing that, I am disrupting the timeline and the animation goes all funny, is there another way of doing this without disrputing the timeline?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Text Shape which dynamically changes it's value to represent the x coordinate value when a box is translated on the x axis. I achieved this via script controller attached to the box object. This works perfectly, however I need to keep the position of the decimal point in the same place as the coordinates changes but because the value and hence it's length changes, it's position changes accordingly. For example if the value is 3.141 and this changes to 3.14 the decimal point moves to the right slightly as the length of the text shape updates.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm currently evaluating the product. I like most of what I see, but I do have one major issue - animation of text. You can't use the transitions on the text because they effect the entire screen, not just the text, blacking out the main video. The text animations only have a few types that allow entry and exits. Which mean that the text can pop-up, but only disappear at the end. This seems to be a major oversite in an otherwise stellar product. I use pinicle now, which is nowhere near as nice in most aspects, but in pinicle I can slide text on and curl off or any other combo I choose. Way better.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running an older system (WinXP 32-bit, 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM (733 mhz), lots of hard drive space (more than 1TB), 1-gig video card (ATI Radeon 4xxx series), 3GHZ intel dual-core processor, Photoshop CS5
I do a lot of painting, and some of the brushes I have are a lot slower than others. Example- some brushes produce almost no lag, while others produce severe lag. (The slower brushes tend to have a lot of settings in the brush panel such as texture, scattering, dual brush, etc)
I'm planning to upgrade my system soon - I'm considering 8 gigs of DDR3 Ram (2400mhz), a 3.4GHZ i5 quad-core processor, an upgraded ASUS motherboard, and probably stick with the remaining hardware for now. I'll eventually move on to 16GB of RAM. I will also be using a 64-bit version of XP and maybe even go up to Windows 7 64-bit (If I can set aside the time for all the headaches that come with something new like this)
My question is, with an improved system like this, would I expect to see the lag drop significantly on these slow brushes? Or is it just the brush itself which is slow and an improved system will have no impact? I do very little in the way of filters, 95% of my workflow is pure painting with a variety of brushes and not too many layers for the most part (usually less than 50 and closer to 10 on average). So my main concern is trying to remove the slowdown when painting.

There is a way by using the "single column marqee tool" to get a part of a pic to be "extended"/"drawn out"/"giving the illusion of speed"...or what eva'. I give U this...Now that SCMT (hehe..) is supposed to be transported to the right here in order to make that oval "stretch"...But HOW, god damn...?
This is prolly a basic knowledge, but I can't for the luv of it figure it out *puts tail between legs and awaits the ban*
I use the pencil/brush tool and hold down shift and draw my line, It works great for small lines, but when I have to go off my current screen space, photoshop will FUCKING FLY down to the end of the document, leaving a line through the whole thing. The area where it doesnt move the document to where it shoots down is so sensitive.
if there is anyway to change the scroll speed, so i can make my lines in peace.
A bit off topic, but maybe not. Information comes from file | file info in CS3.
Metadata from a jpg image show different exposure times.
First: "Exposure", giving the traditional expression in decimal form, e.g., 0.017 s for 1/60s.
Second: "Shutter Speed", expressed as NNNN/256. I am unfamiliar with this convention. How does it relate to the traditional expression?
There is also a Brightness parameter, also expressed as NNNN/256, and can be negative.
