View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to explain this problem very well but, i'd like to know how to move images up and down, and forward into the picture. here is a example. i got 2 images, one of a cat, one of a cat bed. and i want to move the cat, so it's lowered into the bed, and it doesnt just look like i've moved it.
here is a example via a picture: see how the cubes are placed behind and lowered etc... i do know its a puzzle, but thats what im trying to explain, but not very well, and want to be able to acheive this using photoshop cs4 or any other program which allows this feature.
Why do I have many disconnected files without moving any pictures?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI see in alot of graphics are precisely cut out. For instance i saw a graphic with a city in the background and in the lower foreground was a bunch of hands sticking up in the air (like a crowd with the hands held out into the air). Each hand was perfectly cut out though...each individual finger etc. How is that done? How do you precisely cut out things...do people jsut sit there, zoom in and spend there time accurately cutting out whats necassary? What tool is used?

Is there some way to move individual files around within the same folder?
On my laptop my C drive is getting full,i want to move my Pictures folder to my D drive which is empty.(i have to first find out how to do this) if i move them will Lightroom be able to find them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just purchased Lightroom 5 to replace Lightroom 3. I assumed that all settings would be carried into Lightroom 5, so I imported some new pictures wiothout checking the destination. They are now in the Lightroom Catalog, but not where the remainder of my pictures are. Is there a way that I can move them to the desired location?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason have a lot of my pictures been saved on two harddrives on my computer.
I now need to delete all the copies so I only have pictures on one harddrive.
Â
How will I know which photos of the duplicates I can delete, so that Lightroom can work with them later on?
Â
And, if I delete the original file, can Lightroom use the copies?
Sometimes the filmstrip will not allow me to click and drag and change the order of pictures in the filmstrip. The pics are locked in place. It allows me to drag an image to a new position in the filmstrip but when I "unclick" the pic just moves back to its original position. Other times a black bar appears between the pics where I want to move the pic and I can rearrange the order of pics. I cant figure out why I can do this sometimes and sometimes the filmstrip wont allow me to change order.
Â
Also, I can move pics in one file while not being able to move them in another. So it not some universal setting but seems to be file (catalog) specific.
I made the mistake of moving the pictures to another folder (using Windows Explorer) after I had done some editing. I've noticed that after I moved them, I lost every edit I had made. Is there any way of recovering those edits?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just moved several folders from a corporate shoot into a new folder, all done within latest version of LR4. One of the folders containing 1124 raw photos from a corporate shoot is now labeled as missing after an error message during the move (didn't write down the exact message). The folder and its pictures are nowhere to be found now! System-wide search comes up with no result. WHERE ARE MY PHOTOS?

I have transferred some folders from my internal drive to an external (FW) drive. Whereas most of the transfer worked fine, I had the following problems:
Â
- one folder (at least) completely disappeared from LR. The files were moved to the new HDD (I can see them in Finder), an empty folder remains in LR under the "old" drive and there is nothing in LR at the new position.
Â
- an empty structure remained at the location of the old files
Â
- on some folders, I had the message "could not complete the folder move..." and only part of the pictures (or none at all) were moved.
I've been making a model plane model in inventor 2012 from imported IGES geometry, and Realised that my sketches were not assigned to any part (and thus can't be lofted). Is there any way of moving the sketches to the newly created part without redrawing everything? I've tried dragging and dropping because it seemed to make sense, but alas, that had no success.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I place parts in my assembly they are stuck in the position I place it and can only be moved once I mate it to another part of my assembly. I have only recently encountered this problem, as usually when I place a parts in an assembly I am able to simply click on the component and drag/move that part around to put it in a place that suits before I use any constraints.
What is the problem, have I clicked on some function unknown to myself which has disabled the ability to move parts/assemblies when I place them into an assembly?
So I have this assembly with all parts constrained properly yet it won't let the parts move the way they should under the constraints applied and it's telling me I have interfering constraints.
I checked the "broken" constraints over but they look fine. It's a relatively small assembly (10-15 parts), although the parts have been used in a previous assembly. Would this affect their behavior?
I have numerous step files which I have imported into an assembly. I now need to move all the imported files to a predefined UCS (not 0,0,0). I can do this manually by using the assemble command and selecting the centre point then selecting the centre point of the pre-defined UCS.
I have potentially thousands of parts to move in various assemblies, is there a way to do this using iLogic and if so, how?
how do I move select parts of text? I have a "B" and a "G" that I put into Illustrator using the text tool. When I go to move the "G" onto the lower corner of the "B", it selects both letters and moves them as a block.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere is a tiny window which shows on an image being edited to enable you to scroll or move to different parts of the image instead of using shortcut keys. I cant find it on my screen anymore I found it very useful if i had to move through the image.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have lightroom 3.6 on a Mac running OS 10.6. I am in the process of moving my picture library from the internal drive to an external drive because my internal drive is very full. I plan to have the LR catalog remain on the internal drive as others have suggested LR will run faster if the catalog remains on the internal drive.Â
Â
I initiated the move process within the LR library, by selecting all photos within about 150 folders inside a master "my photos" folder on the internal hard drive displayed in the library module of LR. I then dragged them into the new "my photos" folder I created on the external drive which was displaying inside the LR library module. Â
Â
First question, this moving process is progressing so slowly, at a rate of about one picture every second. is this normal?Â
Â
Second question: When I open the external drive by clicking on the drive itself, outside LR, it seems the pictures are flowing in without any of the original subfolder structure that was present on the internal drive. Is something wrong that I don't see the subfolders on the external drive? I want to preserve this structure and of course see it show up in the LR library for the external drive.
I have a script that is perfectly works in 2012 inventor pro version. It moves newly added virtual parts into the VIRTUAL_PARTS folder. Part of script is below:
Â
Dim oFolder As BrowserFolder Dim oTopNode As BrowserNode oTopNode = oPane.TopNode() Dim oTopNodeOcc As BrowserFoldersEnumerator oTopNodeOcc = oTopNode.BrowserFolders For Each oFolder In oTopNode.BrowserFolders i = i + 1 Next If i = 0 Then oFolder = oPane.AddBrowserFolder("VIRTUAL_PARTS", oOccurrenceNodes) Else For Each oFolder In oTopNode.BrowserFolders If oFolder.Name = "VIRTUAL_PARTS" Then For Each oOcc In oAsmCompDef.Occurrences If TypeOf oOcc.Definition Is VirtualComponentDefinition Then oNode = oPane.GetBrowserNodeFromObject(oOcc) End If 'MsgBox(oTopNodeOcc(1).Name) oTopNodeOcc(1).Add(oNode) Next Else ' do nothing End If Next End IfÂ
In 2014 pro it works only once, when I add first virtual part. It creates a folder and moves it there. When I add 2nd virtual part it gives me a error

I can't move the assembly I'm building around without the parts moving out of place from where there constrained too. I manly use mate and flush constrains. I have to build a layout of a room later on with these assemblies in it and they must be able to be positioned where they need to be. How do you keep your constrain parts from moving out of place?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch of parts that are almost identical except for a few minor changes each time. Most have already been created in Inventor. My problem is that I want to rotate the part so that a face that was once along the XZ plane will now be in the XY plane. Is there anyway to rotate it like this? I would like to do this so that when I bring it into Mastercam, I don't have to rotate it each time.

I have 17 years of Unigraphics / NX and 2 months of AutoCAD 2013 3D experience . I am designing a welded table that has lots of tubes to be aligned to each other. It appears that snaps do not work on solids and there is no way to do a point to point solid move in Inventor. Is there any way to select a solid, snap to a base point, then move or copy to a snap destination point of another solid? Does this need to be done in an assembly drawing? If so, do I have to create a file for each tube and then bring each of them into an assembly? I would like to draw the table as one part. Designing all the parts together. The lack of snaps is strange to me. I can only snap to end points in sketches. No midpoints?? I must be missing something very basic and easy. I have not tried an assembly drawing yet.
I have been working through hours and hours of training videos. Everything but move, copy and paste has been pretty easy. I think I need to find an AutoCAD to Inventor transition video. There are no training courses in my area. So I'm stuck with online training. This problem is never addressed and I can't ask the question on a video.
I'm working on some plumbing in an assembly and in the past I've inserted all the fittings and pipe into a main assembly. Then created a sub-assembly and moved all those parts into that assembly. However I cannot drag and drop the pipe fittings around in the browser window. So I'm unable to move them to a sub-assembly.
I last remember moving content center parts between assemblies in Inventor 2012 and I'm currently running 2013.
I am having some trouble with assemblies. What I want to do is, create multiple assemblies with moving parts and then assemble them all in one assembly. When I do this, the assemblies with moving parts come in as "blocks" and the parts will not move.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
