View 1 RepliesI'm using Photoshop CS6 with Bridge.
Working a lot with documentary images, the Description metadata field is crucial for saving valuable info pertaining to the images, often quite a lot of text. Bridge is useful -- but not as useful as I'd need.
Very often I want to append to the Description for a group of images, and that works nice -- but ONLY if that field is empty in all the fields.
And that is typically not the case. I keep coming back with more info to add, but often not to the same selection of images. Thus if I try selecting them I get "(Multiple values)" in the field.
And if I type something in it REPLACES all the various existing content in the image files -- very bad loss of important data results.
Thus, what I'd need is a way to APPEND text to the Description field contents for a selection of images.
Is there some way in Bridge that I have overlooked? Or is there any plugin or auxiliary program that could be used for this?
Is there a way to see the guidelines when working in a PowerClip that has a background image?
If not, is this a bug, an oversight of the Corel developers, or is it a new feature?
In Photoshop you can "drag" horizontal/vertical guide lines out into the image.
Can you do this in Photoshop Elements Editor 6 for a Mac 10.5.8?
I do what the help button and menu tells me but I can't get it...
One of my designers running 2012 AutoCAD and 2012 CADWorx, can no longer select individual parts of a GROUP by shift selecting the unwanted elements.
I have tried to modify..
Pickadd
Group
PickStyle
PickAuto
PickDrag
but to no success.
Also fiddled with her Options file, still nothing+
"Ignore rotation metadata" preference is not working with Canon. PS does not ignore it.

In the last day, one of our users has lost his ability to Group. Whether he selects objects and then pulls down "Group" from the tools menu or vice versa, the objects do not group. The command line text doesn't give any errors or other indication of what is happening.
GPS does not always appear in the metadata. PSE11
View 1 Replies View RelatedLT2011 I was working on a drawing, save and closed program. When I got back from a meeting and re-opened the drawing it had converted some of my text into blocks. Question is how do I get it back to text or am I screwed?? Also since I first bought the program I've never been able to get it to work, tried both drop down menu and also short cut button neither works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am finding that going to File>Save Metadata to File is not really needed. I changed some metadata like the caption and notes and I don't choose that option in the menu. I then examine the file in Photoshop, and the metadata has already been updated. The metadata gets updated by itself for JPG files, and the XMP file in RAW files gets updated too without me doing anything extra.
What is Save Metadata to File good for then? Am I missing something?
I have a Canon Rebel T3. I switch the camera's white balance depending on the lighting. But when i go to review the files, nothing in the metadata shows what white balance I shot it in. This applies to both jpeg and raw pictures.
It would be nice to see this info so I can compare which settings looked better.
Does Elements 11 show this data anywhere?
Is it possible to print metadata to word in elements 10?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a fairly large number of photos with face tag metadata. Since Adobe is part of the working group that developed the XMP metadata standard, imagine my surprise to find out that Photoshop Elements 11 doesn't use it!
Is there any external program to import face tag metadata into the organizer? I used Windows Photo Gallery to do the face tagging and it properly writes the metadata to the XMP fields. Problem is the photoshop organizer doesn't read the XMP fields! It's using it's own standard(?)
We are talking thousands of photos here so re-tagging is just not an option. Is there a way to get photoshop to import the tags and regions?
I recently had to reload PSE9 on my Vista 64-bit machine after a motherboard/hard drive failure (yes, supposedly both components failed). I edited a few images tonight and noticed that the time-stamp metadata on the imported images does not match the metadata on the originals--everything is an hour off. I made the original purchase of the product a few years ago and it was fixed by a later update. If it matters, the images are RAW format images and I was using the full edit functions of the software.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to use Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer to update date taken and add tags to picture files. Organizer is supposed to write/update the original file properties with this updated/new metadata, however, it seems to be pretty haphazard. I've tried selecting pictures and using the menu option to "Write keyword tag and properties info to photo" (CRTL + W). It processes and states it is updating the files, however, after it completes, you can access the source file in Windows Explorer and view properties but none of the changes (date info or tags) has been updated in the file.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just transferred all my photos from an PC (microsoft) to an iMac. At the same time I upgraded from elements 5 to version 11. Before doing the transfer I saved all the tags to the metadata. On the iMac both the tags and the keywords in the metadata are all in place but when I do a search on a particular tag, only a small number of the relevant photos (the most recent) are found.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Geosetter to add GPS coordinates to my photos, it also happens that I add keywords to photos directly from Windows Explorer (it's the fastest way in some cases).
The problem with doing that is : PSE8 does not "see" the update. Any other way than removing the containing directory from catalog's scope and readdint it ?
For PSE 11 Organizer, how do I increase metadata display font size?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add a watermark to a group of photos. I have Photoshop Elements 10. I have read the tutorial and it instructs me to open "file" and select "multiple", however, that is not an option when I open "file". Where am I going wrong? How do I accomplish this task? In addition, is there a way when I create a watermark to save it so I can use it as needed to future photos?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter being able to complete several Photomerge Group Shot projects before, the program is no longer saving them. It allows me to open all photos (I've tried merging group shots from 2 pictures to 5 pictures in an effort to find the error) and to go through all the motions but when I click 'Done' nothing happens. No error. No lag. One of my open files just sits there untouched.
I read somewhere that I should delete my preferences, but I haven't made any changes. This is the only feature I've ever even used on my new Elements program.
I tried opening the program under my husband's user name (new settings / preferences), but the same thing occurs. It just doesn't save - even when the computer has just been booted up and I'm only trying to merge two photos.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron 530S running WinXP 32-bit SP3 with 2GB RAM. I just clean installed WinXP and all windows updates. The only programs I have installed are Office and PSE10.
I just got Lightroom as a Christmas gift that is incompatible with this computer. If this is a RAM issue...or if I should upgrade to 64-bit...what should my minimum system requirements be to optimally run both Elements and Lightroom?
I want to remove a person (just their head is visible) from a group picture. they are at the back, how do I go about doing this?
