I have Photoshop 10. I want to add an individual from one photo to a group of 13 individuals in another photo. I want the finished product to look as though it were a photo of 14 individuals.

I've been doing some group photos for my work and would like to overlay our logo and text, but be able to use it again for other shots and change the text when needed. Something like class photos where all I would change would be the text.
Can I create a transparent PSP image that can then be overlaid any future photos?
If you have several objects grouped, and then you combine them all on a single object, the resulting object is placed inside the same group. This seems bogus, since is not possible to create a group of a single object.
Test case:Create 4 rectangles.Select them all and group them (ctrl+g)Select the group and combine all objects (ctrl+alt+dnarrow)
What I expect:A single object floating on the canvas
What I get:The same group but with a single object inside.

I have read the tutorial and it instructs me to open "file" and select "multiple", however, that is not an option when I open "file". Where am I going wrong? How do I accomplish this task? View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter being able to complete several Photomerge Group Shot projects before, the program is no longer saving them. It allows me to open all photos (I've tried merging group shots from 2 pictures to 5 pictures in an effort to find the error) and to go through all the motions but when I click 'Done' nothing happens. No error. No lag. One of my open files just sits there untouched.
I read somewhere that I should delete my preferences, but I haven't made any changes. This is the only feature I've ever even used on my new Elements program.
I tried opening the program under my husband's user name (new settings / preferences), but the same thing occurs. It just doesn't save - even when the computer has just been booted up and I'm only trying to merge two photos.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron 530S running WinXP 32-bit SP3 with 2GB RAM. I just clean installed WinXP and all windows updates. The only programs I have installed are Office and PSE10.
I just got Lightroom as a Christmas gift that is incompatible with this computer. If this is a RAM issue...or if I should upgrade to 64-bit...what should my minimum system requirements be to optimally run both Elements and Lightroom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am overlaying a name on a metal plate and have a font style and size picked out, but I need to increase the weight of the individual letters, mainly the "light strokes". I tried the tedious process of outlining each letter with the Magic Wand tool, expanding by 3 pix, and filling, but one letter would then touch the next, so selecting the next letter would then incliude the letter I'd already expanded. Outside of picking a different font, is there a way to increase the weight of a group of letters? I'm using PSE 7 on a Win7 computer.

However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a floorplan of a building and am labeling exits of the building for evacuation routes. Each exit label is on its own layer. I need to show the floor plan from different perspectives/orientations and therefore need to rotate the exit labels in place on their own individual axis. So far I have been going in and selecting the image (label) on each layer and rotating it 90 degrees and then repeating the process for the next label. When I group the layers they all rotate on one axis and therefore are not near the exit they are supposed to be near. Is there an easier (quicker) way to rotate the labels as I have to do this for four different perspective for each of four floor plans?
