I'm having issues moving individual layers once they've been put into a group in CS5. It just moves everything in the group! Very inconvenient. This hasn't happened to me before or in CS6. How to correct this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a floorplan of a building and am labeling exits of the building for evacuation routes. Each exit label is on its own layer. I need to show the floor plan from different perspectives/orientations and therefore need to rotate the exit labels in place on their own individual axis. So far I have been going in and selecting the image (label) on each layer and rotating it 90 degrees and then repeating the process for the next label. When I group the layers they all rotate on one axis and therefore are not near the exit they are supposed to be near. Is there an easier (quicker) way to rotate the labels as I have to do this for four different perspective for each of four floor plans?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop cs6. I purchased a template for magazine advertising purposes. The images have been taken out but there are custom designed objects (masked shapes) where I am supposed to place my images. When I attempt to place a photo into one of the shapes, using the Place Command, it does not work.
How can I place an image into one of the objects?

I have a Photoshop action that, amongst other things, performs various fill-type operations on parts of an image. I want to run the action on a number different images, but I need to select different parts depending on the image.
Is there a way that I can manually position the cursor (i.e pick the correct area to process) while running the action? Or do I have to break the action up into shorter actions and do the fills manually in between?

1. Should each individual photo file be set to RGB or CMYK?
2. How much of an affect will it have on the quality of an image if it is changed from RGB to CMYK or the other way around after it has been worked on?
3. I need to request photos from others to be included in this piece. Does the physical size of each photo matter as long as the photos are 150 or 200dpi? Should I request specific sizes or just photos with specific resolutions?
