Jan 21, 2013How can I get it back to editing in RAW? I shoot in RAW+L, but Photoshop Elements 10 won't let me edit in RAW, only JPG's.

Photoshop Elements :: Saving JPGs In 10?
Nov 4, 2012I use Lightroom 4 to start my workflow on a MacBook laptop. I export my RAW image as a PSD file, then open the PSD in PSE 10. When I'm done working on the PSD file I want to save it as a JPG. But I can't find the JPG option in the Save As dialog box. This is my normal workflow using LR4 and PSCS6 on my desktop PC. So why can't I find the JPG option in the Save As dialog box in PSE10?

Nov 11, 2012when I try to open a jpg nothing happens. I'm just doing what I normally do, File > Open then navigate to the jpg, but since this latest cat-sitting incident when I do this the jpg will not open. I get nothing but the big gray Photoshop main page.

I want to take a bunch of my pictures to my iPad via iTunes. iTunes will accept a PSE Album as a source. But not a Smart Album. I also want to reduce the size of the jpg's in the album. Sort of what I can do with Export. Is there some way I can do this?
Ultimately I'd like to get all my new photos to flow through this downsizing, into the album and be delivered pretty automatically.

Apr 28, 2006I have given a disc of photos to a client that she can't access without launching Photoshop on her Mac. They were scanned by me on an Epson as jpgs, then run through Photoshop (CS1) for touch-up and resaved as jpgs by me. Now I look under "get info" and see that they are all saved as "Photoshop Jpgs". this can be a big problem, as I intend to make a lot of discs for clients in the future. I don't want to have to tell them to use "Open with" every time they want to view a photo.

Sep 3, 2013I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.

Everytime I save it, the solid button looks muddy and pixely. PNG ends up being about 3MB so it's too big.
Photoshop :: Jpgs To Gifs
Apr 13, 2006Recently produced an image and saved as a jpg but need to save it as a gif. When saving as a gif some of the data was lost and the image appeared slightly pixilated. Gave the image to a webmaster and he converted the jpg to gif without any loss of quality. Any ideas where I went wrong please?
Errr... before anyone asks, no I can't ask webmaster how he did it because he's gone on holiday.
Photoshop :: Faded Jpgs
Aug 23, 2006I'm trying to import a jpg from PS into Flash. When I do, the jpg is washed out looking. The save preview in PS looks great, but when I open the jps in any other program, it looks washed out.
Any ideas?
Photoshop Elements :: Using Layers To Edit Photos On 12?
Feb 1, 2014I am still having a difficult time understanding how to use layers to edit photos in photoshop elements 12. All of the tutorials I have viewed about this have one common theme: the best way to edit photos in photoshop is to create multiple "layers" of the original background image so that different types of edits can be made to each layer, and not the original. This way the edits made to each layer can be compared to the original to make sure everything looks the way it should. Once all the edits have been made, then each layer is merged into one final touched up image, correct? Here is what is driving me mad. I have been lead to believe that when I edit a layer of an image, that any edits I make are only supposed to show up in the active layer and not in the original or any of the other layers I create. Is this true? If so, how can I set up my editor so that the edits I am making are only showing up in the layer I am actually working on? It seems to me that if the edits I make are going to show up in every layer, along with the original, then there is no need to use layers at all for editing photos.
