Why can´t someone invent a sigle button for this I have tried all the things by the book but still when I try to lay text image with white background over an image the white is still there althoug I made it transparent. tried to sa for web as png-8, png-24 and gif. nothing works. To use magic wand gives bad result when applied to text? So what can I do? I am trying to place text over image. I know I could write it over the image but I need the text as a transparent layer some place else.

I'm trying to blend the background of one layer into the background layer.

Does anyone know how to make the edges of the picture fade away and blend with the background?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a simple circle shape with some modifications that I need to not blend with the background color. The edges of the circle blend with the background color, but I will be using this image in a game and the background color is the alpha color. If the background color dissapears in the game, but parts of the circle have colors that blend with that background color, it will look very strange. How can I stop the image from blending it's edges (I guess what it's doing is anti-aliasing to make a smooth effect) with the background?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a logo that I want to layer on top of a background image that will together act as the header for the webpage.
Â
The easy thing to do would be to create an image on photoshop layering the background image and the logo, with the logo blend effect, and then save and upload. Problem is that I want the background image to resize with the browser window - without resizing the logo.
Â
Therefore, I figured I could save the background image and logo files separately, and then layer them using HTML and CSS. For it to look comparable therefore, I want to keep the background of the logo transparent. I would also like to set the blend mode of the logo to linear dodge (add) - so that whatever size the background image is scaled to, the logo remains the same size, with the same blend mode. The problem is that when I save the logo as a transparent png file (24-bit), it is not maintaining the blend mode.
(Photoshop CS4)
I have a 3images with a common background, but there's different text and each picture has a different part of the background intact. I'm looking for a way to restore the back ground by over layer the images together. I originally tried with one image and selecting the text with the magic wand and filling it with content aware fill. But the results were so so.
Â
So I have a few questions;
1) the images have slightly different orientation. I can't get them to perfectly align, its weird, I really can't do it. I can get it close, but not perfect, is there a simple way ?
2) How do I keep the common element between the images (the background) and remove what's different (the text) ?
Â
I tried overlaying them after having deleted the text, but I still get the damn contour effect.
3) Furthermore, the colors are slightly different between the images, is there a simple way to get them to match ?
tell me step by step instructions on how to cut an image and leave the background behind, and save just the image with no background??
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am in the create Photobook portion of Photoshop elements. In the photobin if I right click on a photograph and then left click the option "use image as page background". It deletes the current background and inserts the photo that I have selected but it seems to be about 50% opacity. I can see the photo and it is half faded with the white and grey square background.
Â
How do I get the background photograph to show fully (or 100% opacity?) I can not find any where to set this?
I have searched the site but am unsure whether or not I need certain plugins etc or whether I will be able to get the required effect without. My problem is I have just been asked to update a website.
I would like to know "IN LAYMANS TERMS" how to keep the style of headers the same but change the images.
I would like to keep the same background of which I have copy but be able to have various pictures added to the right hand side as above with the same fade effect. In my search on the site I saw something about feathering etc but not sure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I create an image layer (say 1.5 x 1.5 inches) and when I set that image onto a background (say 2.5 x 2.5 inches) the image expands to the larger background size.Â

Why? Or what am doing wrong that would cause this to happen. I recently upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 12. This was never an issue with PSE 9.
I have a white background image with several logos layered on it.I need to increase the size of the white background image to make room for another logo without effecting the layered logos on top.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to work in Photoshop and GIMP, but then became sidetracked. I've forgotten half of it. I used to make siggies for others all the time, although I really was guessing my way through some of it. I knew I could do better.
Anyway, I figured it'd be wise to start with a really basic question. I'll use the pic below as an example.
In a pic such as this one, how would you go about seamlessly blending the edge of the picture with the background? (All I did so far was have 2 separate layers; the picture of the hottie, and then behind it of course was just the template where I tried to match the pink from the hotty pic).
I'm also curious about just blending 2 or more photographs together to create a collage. I've done this before, but I know I made it harder and more tedious than it had to be. So.... would a collage have to be done a little differently.
I used to go about all this various ways way back when, but like I said... I've forgotten half my little tricks which I know really weren't the correct and easiest route to go about it.
i was wondering if there is a way to blend the same image together. One side of the image is green plain. The other is a woman's face with greenish grayish background bhind her but a little to the right is the plain green box. How do i blend the green into her background? I have seen the blending of two photos together but what if it is the same photo?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"

View 2 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop CS2, I have two images (ImageA and ImageB),2) I want to place ImageB onto a canvas with ImageA - this I can do,3) When I place ImageB onto the canvas and nudge it to ImageA, I want the RIGHT side of ImageA to Blend/Merge/Feather with the LEFT side of ImageB. The result is that I do not want to see the edges of either images when they are nudged together. I'd like them to "Flow" together. Also, I'd like to be able to put a "Glow Around" then entire merged content, but Ithink I have a link that explains this. I am not sure of the terminology above - Blend/Merge/Feather
View 5 Replies View Relatedi was wondering if it would be possible to get a plugin or maybe there's a way to do this that would 'blend' the border of one image that you paste on top of another, larger image. so that the borders wont contrast - like a black dot on a white page.
if that description doesn't make sense, imagine using such a tool on a a black dot on a white page. it would make the outer part of the circle transition from black, to dark grey, to a lighter grey, and then to white...
Currently the screen has a black border when I scroll to reduce the image size. Originally it may have been white.
