On my Photoshop Elements 9 Welcome page the "gathering Infomation" thing never finishes. I can I correct this? Some one answered this question in the past but I can't find the answer in these forums and don't remember what they told me to do.

I have adobe pselements8. When I open the program I get a box that says 'gathering customer data'. This gathering does not close and I cannot open the program.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 was working fine until I updated to 12.1. The opening screen comes up as before when you click on the desktop shortcut. The organizer will start from the opening screen, but not the editor. I changed the option to have the program open the editor directly instead of the opening screen and now nothing appears when you click on the desktop shortcut. I am able to open both the organizer and editor by clicking on their respective exe files in the program folder. I am running Windows 8.1 / 64 on a Dell Inspiron 3847 w/ 8 GB of memory.

I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always open in the middle?

Just before the crash, photoshop displays a message about a problem with the display driver and GPU. I am unable to read the entire message before the system crashes. I re-installed the video driver and CS4 but the problem persists.

I have been trying all morning to get Photoshop CC to open some screenshots I took, something that I've normally had no problem with. Any way I try to open the files (dragging them to the icon in my dock to launch Photoshop, openening Photoshop first and then going to File -> Open and opening them) causes PS to crash. This happens with old screenshots and new screenshots.
I just got a new computer over the weekend and have gone from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. I'm not sure if the issue is with OS 10.8 or Photoshop CC 14.1.2?
Grey Screen when opening a old or new project in CS 5.1....I can then click on the outside of the screen and see the project screen but as soon as I release the mouse button it goes grey again.

My two problems :
1 - Opening a New file:
When I open a new file, I cannot obtain a full screen image as I did in previous versions of PS. May be because I use centimeters dimensions?
2 - In the "work space " (Is it right in english ?)
When I choice "affichage" and then full screen for work space, the image I get is much larger but not entirely full screen..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a file that I have applied different floor finishes to different rooms based on flooring patterns and hatches - they are not visible in the floor plans . Funny thing is if I make a seperate room outside the project in the same view and assign it flooring patterns - it does show up all the floor finishes. The only reason I can think of is phases. I have attached images for reference.

Is it showing me the jpeg created in the camera? If so, the jpeg settings in my camera are not only important in viewing the LCD and the histogram in my camera at the time of capture. They would also be important in viewing my image when it first opens in Adobe Camera RAW.
I have 26,000 images on an external drive (currently designated drive M), almost all tagged and/or rated and indexed in two PSE 11 catalogs on the main PC hard drive. I am just about to replace my PC. I assume that when I connect my external drive to the new PC, it is unlikely to be Drive M. How do I maintain access through the catalogs with all the stored information?

I reloaded Elemensts 10 but had lost all catalog, category, and subcategory information. My photographs (3,000) had been saved but not "backed-up" (I did not realize there was a difference). All photographs are intact with tags (but not catalog information). Is there some way to restore the catalog and category data?

How can I connect (synch) these different Elements to the external HD where i keep my Pictures?
If I use backup/restore i would need a copy of my pictures on each computer I use and that is not what i want. What i want is to use the same catalog and pictures when i move form one PC to another.

i usually start the render process and leave the pc and shut down after render process finishes but it would be great if there is any built in option to do so automatically.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAll the footage is available, but backburner starts rendering and the stops just before 100%. So I have a bunch of clips on idle, and there are most of the time only 2 frames missing.... why is that? Can I consider the job done and delete it out of the backburner?

I am a AutoCad drafter for telecommunications and I have utility pole points (long/lats)
I can insert the poles via long/lat and all is great, my issue is I would like more information in those points.
For example, pole number, class, HOA, Make Ready. Currently I create a survey data store and import ASCII Points using PNE(comma delimited)
So with my Excel file (this is where I get my pole information from) I get a point/northing/easting to enter into the formatting section.
I would like to add more information to these individual points, like ploe number, class, HOA...
If I view the point table I see that there are a lot of other columns, can I use them or customize them? is there a quick tutorial on this issue?
My G12 Camera is able to super-impose date/time information on the images.
How can I remove this from the images using PS Elements?
It is possible to add GPS information to photo (e.g. from external device or Google Earth)?

But I still don't see where the tool box window is. I see tool options and tool presets, but I don't see too box. How to get the default screen with the tool box to show up? It's my first time using Gimp. I accidentally downloaded 2.6 and noticed it did have the correct windows open. But I want to learn Gimp on 2.8.
