Photoshop Elements :: Disabling Place Tag GPS Requirement?
Nov 9, 2013The requirement that Place Tags have a GPS coordinate makes them unusable for me. My places are areas, not places. How do I disable this function?

Feb 23, 2013I spent the morning with students working on Elements 11. Many of them are having trouble "docking" panels in the bin.
It used to be easy to drag a panel to a group and dock it there, when the blue line appeared.
I could not get a blue line to dock the histogram panel to her bin.

Dec 26, 2012I would like to customize the names of Places as I assign them. For instance, I know that this set of pictures was take at the House on the Rock in Wisconsin. Under the "Places" tab, it's listed as 5754 State Road 23 in Spring Green Wisconsin. I'll never remember that this is the ADDDRESS for the House on the Rock, so I want to change the listing to something that will make sense to me as I use the column search function (something logical like: "House on the Rock, Spring Green, Wisconsin")

Oct 8, 2012when i use the alt zoom function both with my keyboard and with my tablet the eyedropper tool shows up.
I understand that when you hold down the alt button the eyedropper tool shows up when using the brush tool but i was wondering if there was a way to disable this feature or modify it in some way because this is seriously affecting my ability to use my tablet as it changes the color of my brush when I use the zoom function.

Photoshop :: CS4 Is Constantly Disabling GPU...
Jan 11, 2009Each time I open CS4 and the initial image I get this message, "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software."
I'm writing to the Adobe Forum because GeForce feels they are not the cause of the problem. Here is what I've done toward resolving this problem: As a side note let me add here that after upgrading CS2 to CS4 this error message appeared religiously. That caused me to purchased an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT display adapter w/ 512mb memory.
Prior to installing the new card I downloaded their newest drivers for this card after removing the old drivers. Originally I had a GeForce 7600 card. The error message continued with the new card. I've searched the settings within CS4 trying to find an option that would resolve the problem. This machine has a new motherboard, a D945GNT Intel board. It will support 64-bit however I'm currently running XP Pro 32-bit, SP3.

Sep 26, 2013I am using PSE 12. When I delete photos the program is moving automatically to the bottom or top of my catalog rather than staying in place. So if I am deleting photos 1000 - 1005 it will reload at the bottom or top of my catalog. This is a huge annoyance given I have 12K photos. Other times it simply freezes and crashes.

Photoshop :: Disabling Propagate Frame 1 In CS6?
May 12, 2013Is it possible to disable propogate frame 1 permanently in cs6. Everytime I uncheck it, if I undo my edits or erase my frames it copies the first frame elements onto the entire animation causing for me to go through and fix this eachtime.
I'm aware there was a way to diable it in Cs3 but I don't see a way to so it in cs6.

Apr 3, 2013I have an old map showing a plan of all the fields that used to exist in this area. It is just black lines and words. I need to see through this plan and place it exactly at the right size and orientation using two buildings (which are shown on both maps) as reference points. To do this I will need to resize and rotate the field plan over the modern map, anchoring the first farm point then pull second farm point to overlay on the modern map. I will then be able to see how all the old fields sit in their modern environment and which old boundaries still exist.
Even making the white transparent leaving just the black lines of the plan would be a great start.The field plan is saved as JPEG and the modern one is TIFF. Does this matter?

Aug 20, 2007if there was a way to disable the hotkeys that PSP7 provides. Occasionally when I'm using PSP, I dont know what I click, but the hotkeys are activated. Its a hassle trying to use the text feature and trying to save the file: windows are popping up and toolbars disappear off the screen. The only solution that I've found was to close the program and open it again. I'd rather avoid the hassle of closing all of my files and opening them again.
