AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Find / Replace After Export It And Replace Star With A Column
Feb 23, 2012i have a csv file that has 6 columns, PNEZD and a 6th column which is my notes..i type a star in the data collector after my code, make my note, and then find/replace after i export it and replace star with a column..that gives the desired 6th column in excel that my boss wants....problem is he also wants to see that next to the Full Description in Civil 3d 2012...i tried adding a Point File Format with a 6th Column, User Defined, String for type...named the column Notes...but if i go to edit the point there is no 6th column in the Tool Palette.

Aug 31, 2004I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.

Nov 24, 2013My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.

I understand that when you hold down the alt button the eyedropper tool shows up when using the brush tool but i was wondering if there was a way to disable this feature or modify it in some way because this is seriously affecting my ability to use my tablet as it changes the color of my brush when I use the zoom function.

Photoshop :: CS4 Is Constantly Disabling GPU...
Jan 11, 2009Each time I open CS4 and the initial image I get this message, "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software."
I'm writing to the Adobe Forum because GeForce feels they are not the cause of the problem. Here is what I've done toward resolving this problem: As a side note let me add here that after upgrading CS2 to CS4 this error message appeared religiously. That caused me to purchased an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT display adapter w/ 512mb memory.
Prior to installing the new card I downloaded their newest drivers for this card after removing the old drivers. Originally I had a GeForce 7600 card. The error message continued with the new card. I've searched the settings within CS4 trying to find an option that would resolve the problem. This machine has a new motherboard, a D945GNT Intel board. It will support 64-bit however I'm currently running XP Pro 32-bit, SP3.

May 12, 2013Is it possible to disable propogate frame 1 permanently in cs6. Everytime I uncheck it, if I undo my edits or erase my frames it copies the first frame elements onto the entire animation causing for me to go through and fix this eachtime.

Aug 20, 2007if there was a way to disable the hotkeys that PSP7 provides. Occasionally when I'm using PSP, I dont know what I click, but the hotkeys are activated. Its a hassle trying to use the text feature and trying to save the file: windows are popping up and toolbars disappear off the screen. The only solution that I've found was to close the program and open it again. I'd rather avoid the hassle of closing all of my files and opening them again.

Photoshop :: CC Incorrectly Disabling 3D Features And Intermittently Crashing
Aug 19, 2013Photoshop has started acting very strange. It's incorrectly detecting less than 512MB VRAM (AMD 5770HD, 1024MB VRAM). I thought it may be a graphics driver issue but neither the latest stable nor beta seem to effect this.

Since 3D features have been disabled, the application is unstable. Changing tools a few times will always result in an appcrash exception.

I have a feeling I know what's causing 3D mode to disable and that's the integrated card on this motherboard. This currently acts as an additional monitor output and is set as the primary device in the bios (and I can't change this) but shares some state via some LucidLogix thing on the motherboard. Is there any way to disable this VRAM check?

I can click on "don't show this message again" before pressing ok, but can i disable it from showing somewhere in the application settings? I want to enable it sometimes and sometimes not.

3ds Max :: Disabling Windows UI Animations
May 17, 2013I was messing around with my 3ds Max UI today, trying to freshen things up a bit, when I noticed the "Minimize" option for the Command panel window. I quite like the way this works, although one thing is bugging me about it.
When you enter or exit the Command Panel it "slides" in & out of view. Is there any way to disable this animation? Otherwise this is a pretty cool feature which I can't believe I didn't see before.

The save icon greys out suggesting a save is completed but it seems the save is still going on in the background. It's safer to stop editing the file while it is saving rather than continue working on it, but the icon is giving me misleading feedback..

Sep 4, 2011I just installed PSP X2 Ultimate and after first memory card use, I unchecked Photo Down loader so it won't run when I start the computer. Now when I "manually" move files from my memory card (SD) to my hard drive, I am Not able to delete those file on the memory card. Nor can I simply Move the files to my hard drive.
I had no problems before installing PSP. Now to remove the files I have to reformat the card(s) each time.
Seems like Photo Down loader put some hooks in the OS to operate and didn't remove them when I disabled it.

Jan 3, 2014I want to cut a gradient with hard edges. But gimp is anti aliasing and color blending the edges with every tools. Same happens on filling the selected area, or erasing, or deleting.

Jul 17, 2010Since Inventor 2010, the spacebar has the functionality of repeating the last command. We have an add-in that requires typing a short phrase. (You can see where this is headed)Â
Whenever you use the spacebar to seperate the words in the phrase, a new addin form opens in front of the old one.
This add-in is employing the WordWrapper code that Brian submitted some time ago to clear up a similiar issue when you used the Enter key, but the spacebar problem persists
