AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Section Data Band Properties
Nov 5, 2008I have an EG and FG data band for sections that works correctly. When i plot sections and it asks me specify surfaces 1 and 2, I choose my EG and FG surfaces appropriately. Then when the section displays the Section 1 and Section 2 are both set to the EG section of that specific sample line. If i change the section view properties manually it works but I'll have to do it individually for each section.
Also, is it necessary to create a FG surface from the corridor or can i get the data band to read from the corridor section itself?
AutoCAD Map 3D :: Object Data Not Coming In Properties Window
Apr 4, 2012I am using AutoCAD Map 3D 2009. I am not getting the object data values seen in the properties window in one of my machine. The other machine I am able to get the object data in the properties window.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Data / Properties Link With Oracle And SQL
Jan 5, 2011I have been tasked with finding a way to link data from Oracle and SQL databases with CAD files of rooms in certain buildings. My goal is to be able to select an arbitrary room within a building and be able to access certain information. I don't actually have access to the databases yet, but I would like to know how to do this when I do. My data consists of "human" data such as: name, email, position, sex, etc; as wells as "physical" data such as: square footage of the room, who uses it, computer serial numbers, or what department is in charge of it. Using this data we will cross reference the tables to determine what our needs are.
My AutoCAD skills are good but I've never come across anything like this in the class room. Most of my knowledge is Civil based and more focused on design.

Dec 8, 2010I've created a table (a door schedule for example).The data cell type properties is "general". The door # is "001". When I type this in, it switches to just "1" and the type is swiched to "whole number." Same for another cell with a number in it, it switches the cell type on me and I don't want what it switches to. Every time I try to switch it back it doesn't do anything.
How do I stop it from automatically switching, or at very least let me override?
AutoCAD 2013 :: How To Edit Object Properties
Oct 4, 2013My Acad experience is very old-school, and I have been away from true Autocad for a number of years.
I have been attempting to edit the properties of objects in the block editor and ran into a problem.
+ I select an object.
+ Right-click and choose Properties.
+ A list of properties is displayed, but they are not for the object I am trying to edit.
I did a test by selecting the object and using the command prompt, used the CHPROP command to change the objects color. It did change color as expected.
However, when I used the right-click/properties method, the properties shown do not show the new color. So, I suspect that my right-click/properties method is not showing me the object's properties. But, rather the default properties when any new objects are created.
So, obviously right-clicking is not the way to get there. What am I missing?

when i make a lable style for figure, lable style should be selected.
But i don't know how to make a properties for text of lable style.
see image below. i select the add labels of annotate ribon -> figur -> add figure labels -> edit section of line label style -> layout tap -> contents below text -> you can see the owership which is user defined properties.how to make that properties?
AutoCad 2D :: Importing Excel Data To Define Dynamic Blocks Properties
Dec 4, 2012I work for a company that makes sheet metal cabinets. Each cabinet we construct has 17 parts that all different different blank sizes and notching. I have a template for each part right now that I have to shrink or stretch to the appropriate size every time we get a custom size order.
What I've created so far is an excel spreadsheet that determines the sizes of all the parts based on the overall height width and depth of the custom cabinet that was ordered. Any way to define a parts properties with a dynamic block and get the width depth or height imported in from the excel spreadsheet to automatically adjust the size.

Lightroom :: 4.4 - No GPS Data Is Shown On JPEG Photos?
Apr 15, 2013I cannot see any GPS data on my jpeg photos in Lightroom 4.4 (was the same in 4.3), I add the data on the computor using JOBO photoGPS softwear, lightroom works fine with RAW files GPS data but not that added to jpegs, post capture. I shoot Raw files and jpegs with both a Pentax K-x and a Sigma DP1 then add GPS data recorded at the time with a JOBO GPS unit attached to the hotshoe.
If I use my new Pentax K-30 with a Pentax GPS unit which adds GPS data in camera, there is no problem, Lightroom shows this, RAW and jpegs.
The JOBO unit software give better additional metadata information, addresses etc than the Pentax unit, though it does take more work to use.This issue effects uploads to flickr as there is no GPS location then shown there.
I use Windows7.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Can't Edit Section View Properties
Dec 6, 2011In my idw, when I right-click on my section view line (or the section view itself), I want to change the section depth from full to some distance. Problem is there is not a "Edit Section Properties" in the context menu.
There are other section views on this sheet and they will display "Edit Section Properties" in the context menu.
Any clues as to why I dont get a context menu on just this one section view? I could delete the view and redimension everything, but I had rather not.... Its got several dims on it.
Cant post the file either... its pretty large.?The idw itself is 16mb, not counting all the parts/assemblies.

Apr 20, 2011Is there any way to edit multiple attribute properties, NOT using battman? While battman will chnage every att-block within the drawing, I'm looking for a way to change the text size of one specific line of text within an attribute, and ONLY change it in a certain few within the drawing. It'd be nice if I can select those specific blocks and change the properties in the properties manager, but it's not an option.

Nov 18, 2013I am running Architecture 2014 (PrDS-U) on a Windows8 Pro N.
In Architecture I am a frequent user of the Project Navigator.
After moving to W8, I find that I can not edit Project properties, neither from Project Browser nor the Navigator.
The project resides on my local C:VCC and the folder is being shared on my network. It is not write protected. Everyone has full access.
Others who are connected to the share can edit the project, they are running Windows 7. I cannot.

Jun 5, 2012I use lightroom 4.1 on win 7 64bit. I i have a NEF file with all the details, iso, shutter speed, etc. I click on file and tell it to edit with photoshop cs6.
I edit my file, make adjustments, etc then I save for web and put i in subfolder where the NEF file was originally. Now I go back to lightroom and tell to sync the folder where i saved the file.
The problem is the JPEG file has all the exif data wiped out.
I routinely always edit my images in photoshop as i find it much more powerful than using lightroom but what bums me out is when saving it as a jpeg it stripped of all data, and I'm wondering is this caused my lightroom or photoshop.
So to inspect further i open file in windows explorer do file properties and theres no info on it. yet the NEF file has everything on it. So maybe photoshop is somehow removing all this.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Can't Edit Drop Shadow Properties
Nov 30, 2012Applying contour to a text and trying to apply a drop shadow afterwards, the drop shadow properties can not be set.
No matter what item you select in the Object Manager, the drop shadow toolbar's controls are all disabled.
PS: I just noticed this is true for the drop shadow tool in CorelDRAW X6.2 in gereral. I'm not able to edit any of the drop shadow properties.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Can't Edit Material In Pipe Properties 2012
Aug 5, 2011I created a pipe network using Civil 3D 2011 and we upgraded to 2012 in the middle of the process.
I've always been able to edit the MATERIAL of the pipe for (I like to add class and type in this column)
It worked fine in 2011 as you can see in the first image.
But in 2012, the material changes that I added in 2011 chow up, but I can't edit them or revise them.
it causes me to have to label my pipes in the label editor instead of assigning the material property in the pipe properties with-in my pipe network.

Sep 25, 2013I have tried to edit the Properies of Parcel in Information and Description by using the following 2 methods:
Method #1: I started with Settings in Toolspace => work on Parcel Style and Label Style for setting up the desired data I want to input. Then I went to Prospector in Toolspace => Sites => Site 1 => Parcels => Property : 1 for editing the desired data.
Method #2: On the drawing area, I selected the created Parcel object by clicking on the Property : 1 to get the Properties tab. Then I edited the Information - Style, Parcel Area Label Style, Name. I went to Prospector => Sites => Site 1 => Parcels => Property : 1 => Information - Descrition for adding the desired data.
My questions:
Q1. Did Method #2 change any thing in the Settings in Toolspace?
Q2. What is advantage in each Method?
Q3. In the Settings for Method #1, I saw the following items:
Parcel
User-Pefined Property Classifications
Parcel Styles
Label Styles
Table Styles
Commands
What are User-Defined Property Classifications, Table Styles, and Commends for?
AutoCad :: Edit Layers Will Not Show Up In Properties Manager As Changed
May 24, 2013Working in AutoCAD 2013LT-my Layer Properties Manager has stopped allowing me access. When I open a drawing layers all come however I get a pop-up note that says: "ALL LAYERS ARE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THIS LAYER STATE. NO LAYERS CAN BE ADDED"
What happened-even when I try to edit layers they will not show up in the Properties Manager as changed.

Aug 9, 2012When editing the properties for the title block on each sheet of my drawing, I've become rather annoyed with the default column width of the Value column. It always opens to the same width no matter how many times I change it. Every time I edit something in the title block, I have to resize this column to see everything I'm editing.
Any way to change the default width it opens at?

Sep 2, 2011In CorelDRAW 12 I created a design with a few bevel effects on simple polygons. I now have CorelDRAW X5 and need to make some minor adjustments to these bevels.
But I can't seem to bring upp the bevel properties anyway and of course canät edit them either.
How can I at least SEE what properties/params were used for those bevels?
It's OK if I can't edit them (even if that would be preferable). As long as I can get to see the properties that were used, I can remove the old ones and create new ones with the same properties (with the required adjustments).
I note that in the object manager, the old bevels appear as "Bevel group" (but in Swedish), while new bevels appear as "Bevel", and the little icon in the object tree is different. The old ones have an icon that would seem better suited for an extrude.

Paint Shop Pro :: Edit Picture Resize To 800x600 JPEG
Mar 17, 2012I'm getting some erratic results with PSPX4. I download my CR2 canon files to lightroom, process, export as Tiif or jpeg, then open in PSPX4. I then edit the pic resize to 800x600 jpeg, quality 3. The file is usually about 300-400 kb, a jpeg. I have a couple of files that are corrupted on resizing and are only 12.0 kb in size. I can't upload to my website, - the error message says they are corrupted. I'm not getting it with every file, but two in the last batch of ten files processed had this effect.
I tried restarting the program, same effect on those two files. I tried reprocessing in lightroom again , exporting as jpeg and tiff, same result. I can save the files out of PSPX4 as png format, no problem, no corruption.My workflow is the same across a large number of files, - hundreds of em, normally no problem. Just can't figure out what would cause this erratic problem.
I can open and save the problem files in gimp, which makes me think the problem is specific to PSPX4, but why does it not affect every file, only 20%??? Tried re installing PSPX4, no difference.Below is one of the problem jpegs file straight from Lightroom, before I load it into PSPX4.
