What are the differences, preferences, etc. of saving files (jpgs) with these various methods? The baseline "standard" gives the largest file. Is this preferred?
View 2 RepliesI have a TON of JPEG pics that are currently in Progressive format but I am using them with an app that requires that they be non-progressive. So I am looking to convert them to a Baseline format. In Photoshop, this conversion is done through the Save As dialog. However, I dont know of a way to create an action to do this without saving the file name in it. I want to keep all the pics the same file name that they are currently (..there are a ton of them already indexed in an XML feed so..).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to add progressive blur to a pic from left to right, I can do so on several layers with masks, and add more and more blur on each one.
I would like a similar effect, but with the wave filter.
For example, a straight horizontal line at the left that slowly starts waving in larger and larger amplitudes.
(the final idea is a bit more complicated, but I only want to get some initial help so that I can figure out the rest myself).
In fact: several other filters from the distort group behave the same way: apply more intense filtering to a next layer, and the beginning/end and curve doesn't fit anymore.
I require an option or method to convert a large number of jpeg files from a folder to progressive jpegs, with a single save option. Currently I have to save the jpeg file indiviudally for every files as progressive jpeg, Can I know if there is an option to perform this action.

I had my automatic save set up for every 10 minutes but files were not being saved regularly. I deleted files from the Temp folder thinking it was full and now there are no .sv$ saving at all. How can I make drawings save automatically every 10 minutes?
I have created an object (Tube012) that i am trying to use as a rotational control mechanism / rig to move some vertices (morphed spline 012) through a series of progressive morph targets.
i have created morph targets that work as key framed morphs but when i change these to progressive morphs and try to drive with an expression nothing is happening.
The work i am doing is largely based on the great work of Ruramuq and Harvey from the thread "Rigging a wave (3D's Max)" Not sure why. I have file from Ruramuq and have tried to replicate his technique. Everything works well in his file so all i need to do is replicate. The answer is in here but i cant tell what the difference is between his and mine.

I'm having problems with progressive videos that look interlaced after exporting full size.The videos look fine within PP; when the same sequence is exported using You-Tube and Vimeo settings there is no interlacing.

View 39 Replies View RelatedI was wondering what is everyone's methods for removing people from their background? I have looked into many things but every one has given me issues and I really would like to get cleaner cuts much easier, without me having to spend a very long time trying to just get a simple photo cut out.
I have tried doing Quick Selections and then using Refine Edge; but when I do that I got some glow lines around the person; and everyone says try and use Shift Edge but they fail to notice when you shift the edge to get rid of the glowing lines it goes in on the photo so I'll be missing part of the person like there ear or head. Even if the glow lines aren't too big and I can get rid of them with some time; its a massive pain because it just fills the space between the ear and head because it's a small area; so when it makes the glow lines it fills it completely and turns it entirely rubbish.
I have also tried using a Plugin from Digital Film Tools called Power Mask - Which is essentially masking but making the masking method easier. However not all of the person is fully masked, like some of it isn't the foreground it goes like a lesser opacity of the white to more of a gray and when I switch over to what it then would look like; the person has missing bits or issues because the mask not working fully. Even when I go around twice to make sure it's all masked; it makes some, I don't even know some mist or white glow around them which I have to go around and remove and it's such a pain in the ***.
where I can get complicated photos of people cut out well? like say their hair is blowing in the wind, I want to be able to get a nice clean cut of the hair too; so I need something that works well without there being glow, or missing parts of the person etc, and I don't want to have to spend more than an hour just to get a cut out of one person.
I am using Civil 3d 2012. What I have is a surface along railroad tracks. Each set of tracks has a different alignment because they aren't parallel. I have a baseline alignment with my stationing set on that. What I want to do is have one profile view showing the multiple track alignments based on the baseline alignment. I can't use the offset alignment because they aren't parallel.

My question is concerning the visibility, or in my case, the non-visibility of the baseline grid. First of all my equipment is as follows: Dell Inspiron 620, i5-2320 @3.00 GHz, 8gb Ram 64bit windows 7 home premium with all current updates. I'm using a education version of x6 suite and it's updated to version 16.3.0.1114.
These are the steps I've taken: I created a rectangle within the document and using the layout toolbar I clicked "convert the object to a text frame". With the text box active, I clicked view/grid/baseline grid, but alas, no baseline grid is visible within the text box.
I have a road that leads to a curved highway on ramp, and lets say I have multiple drainage structures along the curb line.
-Instead of the symbols and labels being orientated on view or world, can they be dynamically orientated parallel to a horizontal alignment around the curve?
-In doing so making the symbols/labels not adjust no matter what the ucs view is in model space or paperspace?

Deleting files and saving files brings up an error message. Files can't be deleted from lightroom which makes editing a nightmare. Also Saving Files (raw of jpeg), brings up an error message everytime.

I right-click the paragraph text box and select "Align to baseline grid". Then the text surely is aligned to the grid, BUT the lines are spaced to every other line, instead of every line.

Im trying to teach myself to draw pipe spools but am kinda overwhelmed by the options (MET and lisp addons etc.)
Im using auto cad 2013 and inventor 2013. Can pipe spools be easily drawn in 2d and 3d in these programs or do i need a 3rd party add on?
In viewing/creating anything in photoshop 7.0 (and I tried 7.x) the color is different than in any other program... if for instance I take a solid red 255,0,0 and fill a new file - it appears more orange than red. I can take the color picker and it shows the correct RGB say of 255,0,0 but again, it shows orangish on the screen.
ALL other graphics programs, including Imageready DO show the correct color... but NOT Photoshop! - I have tried changing the color preferences up the wah-zoo - nothing. I have tried reinstalling photo 7.0 no avail, I think (or thought) perhaps it was after I downloaded CS to try - to see if I would upgrade ????
this could be far off the mark, but at this point my graphics development work is hurting because I if I develop/create anything in photoshop I have to have another graphics program also open just to see what the true color looks like.... PLEASE help. I really don't know what else to do besides finding and deleting ANYTHING related to photoshop/upgrades etc and reinstalling again.
Why is it that when i choose a Pantone colour from my Pantone book, then go into Photoshop and select the same Pantone colour number, the CMYK breakdown in my book is different to the one that Photoshop tells me?

View 3 Replies View RelatedNot all drawings present this difficulty, but the ones that do must be passed to another person to set the annotation scale. I am using Civil 3D, 2010. In these drawings, I can try to use the scale popup at the buttom of the editor window either in paper space or model. A Fatal Error is returned. To change the paper space viewport scale, I have to use the zoom XP command to keep from crashing but the annotation scale is another thing. I have not found a work around. I have tried to set the CANNOSCALE variable and I have tried to set it through a lisp script. The drawing does not Error out by setting this variable, but does not actually change the properties of the viewport either. My default setting for ANNOAUTOSCALE is -4 for what it is worth.

all part and assembly .idw's are printed and signed. then scanned and put into one pdf we call technical file. in the pdf, we use bookmarks for sorting into four main categories: purchased, manufacturing, assembly, and fitting kits. in addition we have other things, lik einstalation manual. the minus of this is that, when you are viewing one part, you cannot tell what assembly it is to be included in. in production area, they have small stations with ability to read these pdf's.
I've been given a drawing to edit and the creator has long but left the company. I need to explode the block in order to carry out the necessary editing however I cannot explode the block as it is an MInsert Block. I've searched the forums but I haven't found anything relevant. I've gone through the list of blocks present in the drawing to check that the "allow exploding block" tab is checked however there is no block for the whole drawing.
Is there anyway to explode the block and if so how would this be done? These are the blocks properties:

I think that a TIFF file bigger than 2 gb does not create any quality issue in LR - PS workflow ... correct?
It is just related with some third party programs, as the warning box says.
2. This file .. an uncompressed TIFF file ... it is 1 gb inside the PS and it is 2.21 gb in the system folder. Where is this difference coming from?
I was wondering if there is a way for me to setup Autocad so that instead of putting in S 88d20'12" W I could put in something like S88.20.12W so that I don't have to mess with apostrophes or "d." Also, can i do something similar with distance settings? Where instead of saying 5'-6 1/2" I can say 5.6.1/2. I know I could convert the measurements into decimals, but that would waste the time I would be saving with a faster input method.
