I have an earth image and I want to make some text effects around it. I want to have the text go around the earth figure like Jupiter rings. Moreover, I want to have them as a spiral that goes around the figure much like what a snake do to its pray?
View 2 RepliesYou see, one of the slides needs to be a spiral type. It has to be 175 (units-in my case cm) tall and 60 (units) ride so the bigger kids can slide down no problem.
My problem is making the 2D (and thus 3D) image. I'm not to sure how to go about this. I've tried doing the HELIX command but it's seemingly impossible to match up the two spirals to create the constant width and even create the slide.
Im working on a desing for a T-shirt and on the back I wanna put some text but I dont wanna put it in a conventional done to death way I wanna try something new. I wanna do text that is spiraling out in a big circle I think its called "nautilus" although I have no idea if that term is correct.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to unfold a coil shape to get the flat pattern? When I try to unfold the attached part I get an error message (see attached error_msg.jpg). We have been using AutoPOL to unfold these kind of shapes (which works fine). But since we have a very old version which we really need to upgrade, I was wondering if nowadays Inventor could handle coil unfolds.
If this will not work with the current IV2013 release, will this then be implemented in a future release? Are there any alternatives or should I just go for the AutoPOL upgrade?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe 'saying' I am trying to create in a spiral format is 165 characters and spaces. I have pasted it into the spiral effects text box. It will only accept 65 characters in the text box.
If I use the circle effect, I can paste all 165 characters and spaces and the circle adjusts to the size where the entire saying fits into one circle.
How do I expand the amount of characters and spaces the spiral text box will accept and use to create the text image I want?
I have some text spiraling inward along a path (about 20 words). How can I make the individual words (or characters) fade as they near the center of the spiral (while leaving new words at the start of the path at their full opacity until they too reach the center)? I've played with various parameters (including start, end, and offset - and opacity) and have come close, but can't quite get it - and after completing spiral, text sometimes becomes opaque again and heads off at tangent to last segment of spiral.
(Using Adobe Master Suite CS6 - After Effects CS6)
I've draw a blue spiral surface and I got to place text along this black hub line, so it should look as text is printed on blue spiral (perspective and all).I had an idea to outline text, narrow it on one end (to achive perspective) and make pattern brush. But it's pretty hard to tweak path to look realistic (somewhere text is wide and somewhere is narrow, and looks messy).

Those letters look terrible and I'd like it to be straight, sharp lines.
I noticed if I use "Convert To Shape" it outlines the letters exactly the way I want them to look:
But, when I select the shape, it just selects the nasty pixels behind it, not this border.
how I can create text on an angle.
For example.
Instead of horizontal or vertical text, how can it be done on say a 45 degree angle?

I believe I did it using artistic/watercolor. I made a series of five images using this process and now I can't recreate the effect. I definitely did not use strokes or any of the other common ways of creating outline text: It was really quite accidental and done entirely with filters.

When creating text, can not seem to get any color but black. Grab text with text tool, chose a new foreground color, foreground color will change, text color in options bar will change, but text stays black.
If trying to gradiate the text. Again, I choose a color, pick the gradient tool, set the type of gradient, all looks good, new color with white background, but still it comes out as new color and black. Have try making the foreground white with new background color, but still only get black.

I have been working on some small banners and heading bars for my site. One thing I always seem to have a problem with and have not seen much information on is what fonts to use, or how to keep a font clean and crisp once it has been converted from psd to a web usable file such as a .jpg or a .gif. Most of the text I am working with is around a 10pt font. I have tried using different types of fonts and they all look fine as the psd but seem to lose something in the transition.
I have optimized them to 100% and they still seem to lose something. Does anyone know of any techniques or tutorials on this subject. I have seen many banners out there with this size font or smaller, and they all look very sharp.

Do I need to adjust the spacing and/or width for each individual letter? I'm guessing I can make the HAPPY taller by some kind of stretching tool?
I have been trying to figure out how to create text within another object that blends in with the background (behind that object).
If you notice the "two plus three equals" portion on the top left of the 5 blends in with the color of the shirt (so if the shirt was red or blue, the "two plus three equals" would show up as red or blue instead of yellow). How do you do this in photoshop? I've been trying to find a tutorial on this for a while, but to no avail.
I am a relative newcomer to Photoshop CS5. I have been creating a document with a background image layer and a couple of text box layers. The font is set at Arial, italic, sharp. When I save the document as a PDF file, random words appear in bold. I have tried deleting these words in the PSD document text layer and retyping them but they still appear as bold in the PDF file. Interestingly when I save as a JPEG image the bold words appear as normal. CS5 version is 12.0.4 and OS is Windows XP.

I want to use these dimensions, and then flatten the part so my fab shop can trace it and cut the sections, bend them and weld together, but when i use the flatten command, nothing happens..
