I'm trying to use a smoke brush in Illustrator CS5 and colour it blue. However, when I place a black square at the back of the image as a background, the brush appears to have a grey outer edge. I have tried other brushes as well and some produce the same results.
I am wondering if this may be a setting that I'm unaware of or something else.
When I embed a Photoshop image with a transparent background in an Illustrator file, the transparent area of the image is grey in the print, not transparent.

I would save png after that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDesigner Pro 6: I've made round cornered pix for a catalog. I export as a PNG and the corners show black in the Web app I'm using, but they are transparent so it's OK. The last set of pix were done in Xara Xtreme 5, when I exported those as PNGs the corners were white, and the transparency was OK. My question is why the white or black corners, and is there something I can do that will control that? I used the same approach in Designer as in Xtreme 5.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to draw lines on photos to matching figure numbers. For example, I'll have a white circle with an "A" in it and a line connecting the "A" to some item in the photo.
I usually draw a black line to the item. However, the color range sometimes forces me to place a white line right next to the black line (so people can see the line). Dashed lines are not desired.
Is there a way to draw a double line (one black and one white) using a brush or pencil?

I am using CS5.5, and I was watching a video of someone using CS6 inking a sketch with a calligraphic brush that has black stroke and white fill. I am trying to do the same thing, but every time I select the fill color and start using the brush it goes back to "none" as the fill option. Is this a CS6 exclusive feature?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with using my layer masks. I can use the masks that are hidden (shown with black screen) and apply them with the white brush, but I cant get white or shown masks to be taken off with the black brush. Sometimes, not always I have trouble adjusting the opacity of white masks. I was playing around with actions I downloaded and after applying three actions to a photo, elements froze on me. I read about trashing preferences, I dont know what that does or means but I tried to hit cntrol alt shift when photoshop was opening and nothing happened. When it first opens it shows I can install the new inspiration browser ( i dont know what that is either) thinking it was a required update I tried to update and it gave me an error message, something about the installer has been mis-configured.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm, trying to make an animated gif from a png image. I managed to do it, but there's a small problem... when I convert the png to gif (to make the animated gif afterwards) the image gets a strange white border around the edges. I tried to play with the Dithering and Tansparency threshold, but to no avail.

How can I avoid this with Paint.NET?
I have been getting an immense number to images lately that have that wonderful white background.
I simply use the masking tools and cut/paste back into Draw to get a transparent background, but it is time consuming.
Any way to do this with Replace Colors?

View 9 Replies View Relatedway to turn a color image to black n white,
I use enhance > color > remove color ,
on a picture. i can turn a blue object into yellow, green or any other color. and vice versa.
To do that i know 5 different ways, or combination of those methods.
1- Hue/Saturation
2- Color Balance
3- Selective Color
4- Replece Color (Similar to Hue/Saturation)
5- select the area, create a new layer, paint the selected area on new layer, blend the new layer with "linear burn".
but when it comes to black, i can't change the black to another color with any of the ways above. So i was wondering if it is possible to turn a black object into white without killing the texture. Or cleaning the object from colors, making it colorless.
best way i know so far is playing with "exposure" settings. but this time the objcet on the image is becoming blure and loosing its texture.
Here is the object i m trying to make white (or colorless). Do you know any way to do it?
i need to make that shoe as white/colorless as this one below.
