View 3 RepliesI had an advertisement that I created in Graphic Designer 6 that is going to run in a paper as black and white. Does Xara GD6 have the ability to export as a B&W or a grayscale image? Or will I need to manually alter all of the colors of the ad and then export it?

I select a circle, and using the cone gradient, start from the middle and go outward to the edges. Great so far, I have a top-down cone, but what I really need is only half of that, as if I was creating a top-down volcano with the top half sliced off and a flat rounded middle.
This is becoming a bump-map so the RGB value must match perfectly the highest point of the gradient with the sliced off part.
When I convert a picture in BW from a channel (for ex : green channel) and compare it with the result from the Channel Mixer technique (Monochrome, R : 0%, G : 100%, B : 0%), there's a little difference.

The image looks black and white on my screen and when I print a black and white image directly from the internet, it prints out in good black and white mode. What adjustment is available to get rid of this sepia tone?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe image is basically a grayscale height map created from Digital Elevation Models, and exported out of another program as a 16bit tiff. I know photoshop can handle the idea of a 16bit image, but no matter what I do, these come out black. i've tried dumping it out as signed, unsigned, stretched, etc. I can't mess with things like contrast or brightness globally cause that will alter the values which have to stay the same.Basically it needs to open in photoshop cs5 as what it is and save off the same way.
I don't have any other way to do what I need to do to it other than photoshop, so if there is a way to make this work, and no, converting it to 8bit is not an option.
I scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. How I can correct this or what I need to do to get back to the default setting that will render blue & white instead of black and white?

I would like to draw parts in 3d view which look very basic, i.e. out of a book.
Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
New to CDR X6 just having upgraded from CDR 8.
Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
My image is in grayscale though it's recognised as RGB. It contains structures in white which I would like to fill with a colour. So basically, I'd like for all the white in the image to show up as e.g. red.
How do I do that? I'm guessing it must be possible to have a red layer and somehow this will then fill the white, but I'm getting confused with background and foreground filling options and I don't know which transparency options I have to choose.

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.
I attached an example PNG file. Example PNG
I have an image where i chopped seperate parts of different pictures, desaturated all 4, but on the one, there seems to be more "grays" in the black and white photo... i want the grays to be more black. Messing with the brightness and contrast isnt doing it...
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that I am converting RGB native images to CMYK and my Key (Black) comes out rich, contains equal levels of CMY and K, instead of true black, only k.
Currently my way around this is to do the standard convert to profile CMYK and with my path selected to the section I would like to be true black simply turn off all CM and Y channels and re-save the image but this is a little labor intensive.
Is there a way that I can go straight from RGB to CMYK and achieve true black without alteration?
I recently changed pc and monitor causing a damn problem with those color spaces! My monitor is a Dell u2412m and by default it's setted on:
Now when I open a RAW file with ACR and choose sRGB as color space the result is this:As you can see, most of the photo presents black shadows. If I save the file and I open it with windows image it's perfect. Indeed, if I choose ProPhoto for monitor and for the photo the visualization is fine:
I must change the color space in sRGB or even RGB before save the final image so I really would like to se a real preview of it in photoshop instead of saving it first. So the problem occurs when I save to RGB (less artifacts) and sRGB (lots of artifacts!). I can't understand this because I'm using the same color space as default for my monitor.
The pc configuration is:Intel i7 3770
Ati HD7870 driver Ati 12.11 beta
RAM 16gb
I have just purchased this upgrade software having used XARA Xtreme4.0 for many years. How can I change the black background screen with white writing to grey with black writing?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI work at a small newspaper and use CorelDraw X5 (the rest of the newspapers in our company all use Adobe products).
When we get for example, a logo sent to us (also happens with PDF's that are sent to us as well), many times the black is registration black and I need it to be CMYK.
When we PDF the ad to send it for printing the black is on all 4 plates (CMYK) our printer says, drop CorelDraw spend $2000+ and get in design and CS5 and your troubles will go away. I am hoping there is a solution that lets me continue to use CorelDraw as I love this program and do not want to switch.
