I would imagine part of the problem is I have been using the polygonal lasso to help block off the areas i want to layer mask - I have tried the free hand lasso but the results are too wonky.
Any quick tips to convert an expanded appearance rounded rectacngle back to a sharp cornered rectangle?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to convert a pattern back to it's original form? I know that you can edit a pattern, once it has been created, but what about reverting back to the starting point?
I have a student who created a rather complex drawing and then converted it to a pattern, the design does not work well, because it is too elaborate, he has three different art pieces. A record, a jukebox and a piano. These are all great illustrations on their own, but do not make a good pattern. Is there a way to undo the pattern?

View 18 Replies View RelatedMany times my raw images are left with what can only be described as a "haze" over them. It is not a lens deal, it is something I'm not doing in the raw conversion process because .jpegs don't have it albeit .jpegs have their other weaknesses. Sometimes the black slider will remove the haze, but many times I'm left with too many areas that are dark. I think it is a contrast issue, but I really stuggle getting rid of the haze and keep a sharp contrasty image without adding more deep shadows to the image.
View 30 Replies View RelatedWe are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
We have an employee in our office that is kind of old school in some ways. That person has a habit of exploding everything possible in a drawing. Most of us create notations using mtext so it's easy to edit and manipulate. Is there a way to convert the single line text back to multiline after it's exploded?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm in the process of selecting the head and shoulders of a person and got about 2/3 rds of the way around which took me a long time when somehow the end of the line I was working shot across and made connection to the beginning point which ended my selection process. Maybe I clicked too fast or something but it happened and now I'm left with part of a head and shoulders selected.
I've tried working with the plus and minus to try eliminate the line that shot across but I'm not having any luck, maybe it can't be done.
When I try to add or subtract it won't let me intersect the original selection line, I mean I can use a place on the line to anchor my starting point butwhen i come back to the original selection line at some other point, it's not showing the the little circle indicator that tells me I've completed the selection.
I just finished a logo design in corel draw x5.The design was made on a a4 dimensions.I copy the elements to paste them into a much smaller canvas but the image when minimized is pixelated not vectored as the original.
How can I paste the image and the image is as the original (vectored)?
In the past I have almost always used Nikon's Capture NX2 as my RAW editor. In that, it's immediately obvious how to get back to the original NEF camera image, or even choose to go back to different stages in the editing history.
There seems no obvious way to do this in ACR. For example I made a mistake in a RAW edit, but when I reopened the RAW image again from Bridge I got the edited version with the unwanted error., I would like ACR to do what Nikon Capture can do.
I have also just found that, when trying to assign a keyword to this file in Bridge, I got got an "...error writing metadata" message. All the other NEF files in that folder (none of which have yet been edited in ACR) accepted the keywords with no problems.
Since writing the above, I have found that this "error writing metadata" is a common issue for which there seems no solution - it extends back to earlier versions of Bridge (I have CS6 64-bit with vety latest updates).
My radius and diameter dimensions keep jumping from my original line to another, see attached

Once the pline is drawn I would like the lisp routine to select the pline (last ?) instead of the user doing so. I would then like to offset the line 1 (foot) and then erase the original line drawn, so the user does not have to.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is a huge problem for me, and it's getting incredibly annoying.
This issue is when I import an image (drag and drop, or other ways as well) into Photoshop and the image appears in a really small size. I need to be extremely percise in all of my projects by the pixel, I can't have it going a single pixel larger or smaller. But when I drag it in, it shows up much smaller and I have to drag the boundries to make it larger. I basically just want to drag a 64x96 image in, and have it actually show up as 64x96, not incredibly smaller.
I don't know the size of a portion on the canvas, because I can't just guess, so it's impossible to actually stretch it to its original size and actually be accurate.
In CS3 I would duplicate an image in order to soft-proof before printing. By going from full to partial screen I could then identify both original and duplicates and could pull them into adjacent positions. In CS6 that doesn't work How do I separate my two images and place them next to each other?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI love taking landscape photos and i am interested in turning them into black and white images. No problem with that bit, i then want to make the black and white more intense, i realise this will be difficult with the black but i want the white to be, i don't know slightly more silver i suppose, more haunting......am i making sense, lol.
I would also like to keep some color from the original image, maybe have a tree with just a faint coloring from the original or a stream with just a hint of the original blue.
I don't know how to transfer the original color to the black and white copy, is it done with a mask?.
I am trying to match the color.
The original is the manufacturer's, #1.

My photo is the yellowish, this is my original photographed image, #2.

The third is my closest attempt to color correct: (Color Balance: Midtones- Red +10, Green +40, Blue +72, Shadows- Cyan -5, Green +8, Blue +13, Highlights- Cyan -4, Green +5, Blue +12), #3.
If I select Edit Content on a Smart Object layer, and then select Duplicate Layer, will that put two copies of the original image in the file?
I used the Place command to bring high resolution images into a canvas of a much lower resolution. I've already spent a lot of time scaling and positioning the images on the canvas. But it turns out, I would now like to do certain editing on the original pixels of the images because of their greater resolution. Of course, that defeats the purpose of Smart Objects for non-destructive editing.
But there's no reason I can't keep two copies of an original image in a file, and destructively edit only one copy, right?
I'm using version 5.5 in Windows 2000. I am confused because all other images in other programs etc appear normal whereas in photoshop 5.5 they have a greenish tinge. I corrected this on the original image by choosing View > Preview > Uncompensated RGB. However, if I try colour adjustment etc e.g. variations, all the preview images still have the green tinge. Does anyone know how to correct this?
Also Uncompensated RGB is supposed to be the default view, but when I close PS the setting is lost and on opening, all images including the original are back to green. What am I missing? I have other versions 5.5 and CS on other pcs with no problems.
way of adding colour to a black and white picture? I have the original in colour, but I want to change it to black and white and then put a bit of the original colour back into a couple of places...

For the record I'm using PS 6.0 for PC and the browser I'm using is IE 5.5.
