I have an imported image that needs a 50px black frame with hard edges on the _outside_ of the image.I have found solutions but they do not have mitered corners.I cannot use the canvas size to accomplish this as the canvas contains other objects.

In Edge, I have created an application where a user can click buttons and then it takes them to a separate scene. However, I seem to have run into a problem where the click only works in a certain area of the box. I created the buttons in Photoshop and imported them to Edge. Only the edge of the button closest to the edge of the stage will work for clicking for some odd reason.

I would imagine part of the problem is I have been using the polygonal lasso to help block off the areas i want to layer mask - I have tried the free hand lasso but the results are too wonky.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to turn XML data into a number that I can use in formulas in Animate. I have successfully retrieved the info from the xml file into the text on the stage. My problem is that I need to have the value of the imported data to be a number so that I can do future calculations with it, like add the two numbers together to make a new variable total. I have racked my brain reading about XML, spent several days trying obvious solutions to no avail, and yes I am new to coding although I have thoroughly tried many options.

When I go to crop or move an image close to the edge of the canvas it jumps to the edge. I am having trouble especially with cropping the space between the image and the edge of the canvas the way I want it. turning off this jumping to edge problem I'm having?
Also, I've used CS4 a fair bit and haven't come across this same problem but in PE when I'm editing things like adjusting text on a layer and I'm changing options with hotkeys to resize the text box for eg, Elements seems to jump to the background layer quite alot and then I have to click back on the layer I want to edit between changing tools. Is it something to do with the Esc key?
Why does an imported photo on my computer screen in Library and Develop modes in LightRoom 3 appear to be less sharp than the original photo? What to do? When I export the same photo, without making any adjustments to the photo in LightRoom, it appears to be sharp again.

View 18 Replies View RelatedMany times my raw images are left with what can only be described as a "haze" over them. It is not a lens deal, it is something I'm not doing in the raw conversion process because .jpegs don't have it albeit .jpegs have their other weaknesses. Sometimes the black slider will remove the haze, but many times I'm left with too many areas that are dark. I think it is a contrast issue, but I really stuggle getting rid of the haze and keep a sharp contrasty image without adding more deep shadows to the image.

I have an animating banner on my homepage that I want to link to another page. The same way that static image banners work.The click action set up inside the animation works perfectly in all browsers other than IE 8 and below.In IE 8 and below, the animation is replaced with a frame with the "Poster. png" image with a link; as expected.When the image is clicked, it loads the new page inside the frame where "Poster.png" was located. Not in the enclosing window. I've tried every Link Target that is available as well as some custom JS and JQuery scripts with no resolve.

I want to have a gif animation working on a web page - and I want to put a window frame around it so it seems like you are watching the animated image through a window looking into a house. (like a window peeper)
What I need to do is take out the four window pains (or all if I have to) to make the actual pains transparent to show the gif image working.
I am not sure how I can get to superimpose the window frame image OVER the gif image.

I'm importing two separately made images to Photoshop; both made from Sketchbook Pro on the i Pad. One is a background, the other is just a doodle. (background)

What I've done so far is use "Color Range..." to remove just the black, then apply the "Darken" effect within the Layers Palette.(current view)
What I must know is how to use my doodle layer as a mask; to use the texture from the background image in the doodles brush strokes, but not be seen in the areas that used to be black.
I aim to use this effect in many kinds of imported images made from my i Pad, as well as handwritten graphics. I trust this would be very simple to use with actual typed-out text, but I'm having difficulty to find pre-existing solutions.

Is there a way to update that imported image when you have made changes elsewhere, for example in Photoshop.
Sort of the sameway you can update library objects in Flash.
I have a 3ds model of a golf ball I purchased. It imports properly into my Photoshop CC. I haven't been able to figure out how to apply an image (my logo) to the surface of the golf ball. Also, the golf ball has a dimpled surface so I will want the image to follow the contours of the ball, as if it would look if the logo were painted onto a real golf ball.
EDIT: Also, I want to keep the golf ball as a 3d object so I can animate it in a scene.
In CS6 Bridge it shows an image that has been first time imported and put thru raw and photoshop. that the process version is 6.7. Should that not read 7.1. Images taken on canon EOS 450D
