Oct 4, 2012I have tried to use Steve Pattersons color grid design tutorial to place a grid over a photo. When I drag my color photo into the new document it turns black & white. What I can try to keep this from occurring? I am using CS6 with Windows 7.

Sep 20, 2013Recently I have not been able to add photos to a quick collection when the marker is clicked. The marker fills in, but the photo does not appear in the quick collection. At the same time this problem occured, I could not remove photos from the quick collection that had been previously added. I had to remove those photos using the menu system. I upgraded to the new release of Lightroom 5 yesterday thinking that would solve the problem. I still have the problem so I am wondering if it is a setting I have missed. The quick collection marker button is checked in the view options and the button does appear and change when clicked... The photo thumbnail is just not added to the quick collection.

Nov 18, 2012I use an iMac, Lion OS and Lightroom3. I store all my photo files (approx. 50,000) on a Drobo RAID system. Apple replaced my iMac HD. I connected an external 750GB G-Drive for Time Machine back-up. Since there was not sufficient memory on the G-Drive, I set the Time Maching to ignore my Picures. After moving the pictures over to the Drobo and deleting the Pictures on the iMac HD, my Lightroom files went missing. I used the Locate File option to find one of the missing files. Before I initiated this, the folder in the library showed 640 files. After locating the missing file, the folder shows 0 files. The missing file is now showing and available.

Nov 6, 2013my default extensions that come with photoshop cs6 extended and also custom installed plug-ins won't appear when clicked on. Usually you see a checkmark by the plug-in if it is working and is visible on the photoshop layout as a panel. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which the Kuler extension worked, but only under the workspace that I opened it up for. So for example, I opened it up on Essential workspace, but it wouldn't appear when changed to painting workspace. When I close the panel from the workspace, it won't ever come back up again even when clicked on under the extension drop-down menu on any workspace. This is occurring not just on my desktop, but also on my laptop. Both are not Photoshop CC, but regular Photoshop CS6.
I don't really mess around with the extensions much, but once I found out about the painters wheel plugin, I really wanted to try it out, hence now noticing this extension issue with my plug-in..All my plug-ins appear on the drop down menu for Windows > Extensions, so it shouldn't be a file placement problem. I have also tried the Adobe troubleshoot for plugins by uninstalling my plug-ins to see if third party plug-ins were the problem, but still my default plug-ins won't even work.

Sep 8, 2012Usually I can click a took and thats the end of it...if I want to show hidden I have to click the little arrow or something of that nature. Now when I click a tool it automatically opens up the hidden tools menu, which makes it very annoying to select tools because I've then got to click it in the hidden menu to select it.
Also performing things such as double clicking hand tool to show an image full screen don't work becuase as soon as I click the hand tool once it opens up the hidden tools menu and won't allow me to double click it. I've tried resetting to defaults and even checked my wacom/mouse settings...cant figure out what the issue is.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6 13.01

May 22, 2013I have used Photoshop Elements 9 for a couple years without incident. Recently, when I click upon the Organizer, the program simply shuts down, goes away. If I enter through the Editor, I can access the Organizer, but many of my recent photos will show only as an hourglass when viewed as thumbnails. Yesterday I purchased Photoshop Elements 11, uninstalled Photoshop Elements 9, and installed 11. I still have the exact same problems.

Nov 30, 2012NB: I'm using the word 'register' in the printer's sense, i.e 'correctly aligned'.
I frequently edit multi-layered maps, in which each layer must be precisely registered (to the exact pixel) with the canvas. In older versions of PSE, when I've wanted to import layers from another file, I would turn off 'Maximise' mode in the Window menu, and drag the imported layers from one image onto the other. By pressing the SHIFT key at the same time, the new layers would be precisely registered on the new canvas in the same relative position they were on the old canvas (if the images were different sizes, the old canvas would be centred on the new one).
In PSE10 there is no 'Maximise'mode, so I use the 2-up option in the Arrange menu. However, pressing the SHIFT key doesn't seem to work any more, and the new layers don't come up in their original position. Apart from manually lining up the layers, I can't find a way to register them. The various 'Align' options aren't useful for this, as they re-calculate the centre of the layer based on its content. I need the layer to be aligned as it was on the old canvas, whatever the content of the layer.

Jun 7, 2013I am on mac 10.8 and photoshop CS6. When I drag an image to the second monitor it goes black. When I drag it back to the main monitor it come back. Also on this computer often the cursor (in CS6 only) dissappears. It reappears when I pull the cursor down to the dock.

(A photo that i have worked on and has lots of detail) I drag this image onto a canvas size of 150mm x150mm - and the image loses all of its sharpness. It is not apparent until i zoom in to see the detail. (PSE10) I'm sure that there is a box somewhere to tick..........but i cannot find it.
when i drag it over, it is still the large size, so i grab the grips/handles and shrink to fit, then it pixelates?
AutoCad :: Lines Changing When Double-clicked?
Jul 30, 2012I'm working in autoCAD 2011 and I have a quick question: When I open the drawing up from a recent save, all my polylines are not accurate and don't show curves. When I double click the lines, it adjusts itself and shows the curve that I had drawn. Why is this? Will this affect the file if I choose to plot it? Can I keep the lines curved and not have to double click every single line when I open the file just to see what it's supposed to be?

Apr 18, 2013I have a strange problem with some xrefs and I don't know why it is suddenly happening on a few of my drawings.
The xrefs have been successfully loaded in my drawings with no issues until now.
I have an xref that is loaded as an overlay, in the xref manager it is there yet in the drawing it is invisible.
Yet if I click in some blank space on where the xref should be it appears visible and then disappears as soon as I escape!
I know it's loaded - its just as if it's loaded behind everything else and it makes the geometry in the drawing all jagged and out of sorts ?!
I've tried bring to front command and detaching and reloading it but to no avail.

Jan 22, 2014I have created a symbol that is a horizontal banner consisting of six paragraphs of text P1 thru P6. Each paragraph is no more than 300 px wide.
I then created six trigger symbols and placed them beneath a 300 x 300 vieweing window on the stage.
When the stage opens, paragraph 1 (P1) is viewable in the window. If the user clicks a trigger, I want the banner to scroll left or right, from its current position, to display the corresponding paragraph.
Example : P1 is showing in the viewing window. The user clicks trigger #4. The banner scrolls right and eases P4 into view in the window. The user then clicks trigger #2. The banner then scrolls left and eases P2 into viewing position in the window.
My old (very old) Flash training tells me I need to set a numeric value into a variable when each trigger is clicked and then use that value and concatenate it with label text to tell the play head to play from the proper postion (play ("Para1")), (play ("Para2")), etc. where Para# is the label on the timeline.
I feel like I'm close to getting this to work, but after a number of hours of trying I've concluded that over time I've either forgotten a key step or there's some easier way to do this in Edge Animate. (I'm very new to CC and EA).

In AutoCAD 2010, double-clicking a block will display its attributes in the attributes editor; I would like instead to be able to display my own custom vb.net form showing some of the block's attributes, IF AND ONLY IF the block was created by my dot net form (the block would have certain identifiable characters in its name).
So far, I have discovered that this may have something to do with the cuix customization file, as well as setting the system variable DBLCLICKEDIT.
