Everything is possible.... I just don't know how?

The original colour is d8d7d4 and i want to change it to d8d7d3. I can use fill etc but everyattempt so far has left the edge looking naff. i want to keep the sharpness but by just replacing the image colour! theres probably been numerous emails like this before but i cant follow them or its for a different approach, the feathered edge.
Is there a way to change the background layer colour once you've started a document?
When I first created my document (in PS CS2, if that makes a difference) it automatically set my background colour as sepia, instead of white.
I'm now working on a painting and just realised that I can't use white; PS is calling this sepia colour white, and I can't get anything lighter.
Is there a way to fix this? I've done it on a few pictures now and I don't want to have to start everything over.
I've just tried making a new document with a white background layer and the same thing still happens! What is this?! I'm sure this can't be right! I'm on some sort of sepia scale; I can't even do grays. *desperate*
First off, my experience level is basically an advanced beginner, so speak to me as if I am a 10 year old.

Now, the attached link to a Word document illustrates my issue: [URL]....

I am getting horrendous colour shifts when saving to a jpg in photoshop. It looks OK in photoshop when I open it, but when viewed anywhere else it is brutal. I included screenshots of my colour settings and I am working to sRGB and embedding that profile when I save, so I am at a loss as to why it shifted so much.
I have selected part of a photo i wish to change the colour of using the magic wand now when i goto change colour using hue and saturation I cannot locate the exact colour that i want..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have found macro's to change specific RGB values to different specific values within a Corel file. I have not been successful in finding a solution on applying the same sort of change across multiple files. i.e. All Corel files within a folder will search for specific RGB's that I`ve told it to change to other specific RGB's.
I know that Corel has a macro that accomplishes a batch process where it will convert files to different file types.

The problems generally happen with vehicles with multiple colours As an example of what I mean, I'd like to change the colour of this [URL] into something like [URL] I've been looking at various tutorials about how to do this, including many youtube videos, which detail how to change the colours of cars, but they mainly involve anther way including the colorize, which would do the entire vehicle based on HUE, which in this case, wouldn't work due to the multiple colours / shade the original vehicle has, including text.
Other methods use hard light to project various external images onto the body, but this mainly has a large amount of colour fluctuation with the new paint. This method generally gives the best impact when the entire image is white, doesn't say much when I am trying to preserve things like reflections and shading.
I produce one outlined and filled alphabet letter per A4 page to create a sign for a shop window, changing the colours every three months. I use Outline Object for the outline. Is there a method by which the outline colour of a previous letter can be changed or must I recreate the letter if I require a different outline colour?

The solution to this has been for me to either place guild lines on these guide lines (silly really) and jarring. specially when you already have guide lines there.
Â
Or to make a new layer, place a box on the board and give it a outline .5 stroke thinkness or so depending on the zoom because white on the black line thats above it screws up visually depending on the distance you zoom out from.

Or has Adobe given us a choose your colour option i don't know about? 50% Grey would be great. can see on white and black.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI print to a Canon Colour Image Runner printer. The default colour setting is set to mono.
I've noticed when I open a colour image in Coreldraw, navigate to Print Setup, change the job settings to Colour, then print, it still comes out mono, or sometimes come out as a random combination of both mono and colour.
I've found this to be caused the setting called 'Output colour bitmaps as'. This appears to set itself to match the default printer settings on the host pc. Ie my printer is set to Mono by default, hence the above setting sets itself to Grayscale to match. If i choose to print my Coreldraw document in colour, the above mentioned setting remains set to Grayscale, hence the printed output is for bitmaps is grayscale, not colour as i selected.
Likewise if i change my printer defaults to colour, the 'Output colour bitmaps as' setting changes itself to RGB, and then there is no problem.
I assume this is a bug, as if one of my users chooses to print a document in colour, then it should come out in colour. It shouldn't be necessary to change *another* setting to achieve this.
I'm currently trialling ACA 2010 in our office. In previous releases we used AEC Polygons as hatch and boundary objects for say concrete footing as an example.
Without the properties toolbar, how would I go about changing the linetype or colour of the aec polygon, I don't want to change the layer or a style based override I just want to assign a new colour to an object as the style base is set to 'byblock'. The properties for changing linetype, scale and colour aren't in the properties palette either.
Is this a bug or is there a correct workflow I must assume from now on?
