I produce one outlined and filled alphabet letter per A4 page to create a sign for a shop window, changing the colours every three months. I use Outline Object for the outline. Is there a method by which the outline colour of a previous letter can be changed or must I recreate the letter if I require a different outline colour?

I have traced this image from a Jpeg into a Vector to colour but how can I change the black out lines into other colours. When I right click the mouse with an outline selected the colour appears around the line but there is still a fine black line in the centre of it. I want to change the actual outline into another colour
I have a project with many different blocks of text, and colors changing from letter to letter within words.
How do I identify what any given color is?
When I click on a letter, it shows me a visual block of the color, but doesn't tell me what the corresponding color number is.
Problem being, if I see one letter and want to take its color to use it elsewhere, I have no way of knowing what that color is.
I transcribe church registers, due to the poor copies I need to change the background colour as this improves the writing for me to read and transcribe correctly. When I used PSP8 which I am unable to use now I was able to change the colour by using the dropper.

With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box.What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before? I got the text in and see where the colour changing tools are but for some reason even if I made everything red, the text colour still comes out completely different. It seems to be matching it to the colour scheme of the GIF itself. I just want to text to be red.
How do I get the text colour to just stay red?
I'm using an external hard drive with a laptop PC running Lightroom 3. Every now and again I unplug from my ext HD to leave home with my laptop. When I return and plug the ext HD back into the USB slot I realize that the computer has allocated the ext HD a different drive letter than it had the last time it was plugged in. This confuses Lightroom and puts question marks all over the folders on the file drive letter that it had the ext HD stored under previously.
Is there anything I can do to make the computer name the ext HD the same letter every time?

I can move the individual letters by clicking the pixel mover, but since I need a double shot of two letters--one a 'c" and one 'p' I'm up the creek if I can't copy and paste the one I've got of each.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm making a logo for someone by hand-drawing a font I made up. But because I was having trouble drawing a perfect letter 'O', I'm using the "Circle/Ellipse" tool to do it. I drew an 'O' with that tool that's almost the right size... and I wanna draw another one just a little shorter... but I can't figure out how to place the completed new shape directly over the old one.
I don't know where to start the action with the tool! The completed shape always ends up in the wrong place. How to get my finished shape to complete just where I want it to? (Re-sizing the shape won't work because that changes the thickness of the line I used for the letter 'O'.)
What I am trying to do is check if a shape does not match a known set of values. If it does not it will run code where the "If msgbox" is at. What I have works if my line or object has a Cyan outline. The issue I am having is when it is checking a line that is any other color that doesn't have Cyan = 100, it errors out.
Below is what I am trying to use.

I'm changing the background color of some sculpture pics from white to black. I prefer to change lighting/color as opposed to removing/replacing background. Looks more natural for my needs. And it's quicker...But I can't seem to get my edges around sculpture perfect. (or even close) I always get a thin outline (halo?) around the object. I use all of the refine edge tools, but still not great. I want to keep a crisp edge between background and object, so I don't want to feather...I'm using elements 11.

Currently, the best approach I can think of is going back into AI and changing the outlines and strokes there, however that is going to be a lot of work because of the way in which different objects overlay each other means a lot of slicing, cutting, and moving things around. Is there an easier way to do this in PS?
