CorelDRAW X3 :: Changing To Colour Still Prints Jobs Out As Mono?

I print to a Canon Colour Image Runner printer. The default colour setting is set to mono.
I've noticed when I open a colour image in Coreldraw, navigate to Print Setup, change the job settings to Colour, then print, it still comes out mono, or sometimes come out as a random combination of both mono and colour.
I've found this to be caused the setting called 'Output colour bitmaps as'. This appears to set itself to match the default printer settings on the host pc. Ie my printer is set to Mono by default, hence the above setting sets itself to Grayscale to match. If i choose to print my Coreldraw document in colour, the above mentioned setting remains set to Grayscale, hence the printed output is for bitmaps is grayscale, not colour as i selected.
Likewise if i change my printer defaults to colour, the 'Output colour bitmaps as' setting changes itself to RGB, and then there is no problem.
I assume this is a bug, as if one of my users chooses to print a document in colour, then it should come out in colour. It shouldn't be necessary to change *another* setting to achieve this.
I'm trying to print a document that has colour in it and when it comes out of the printer it prints in black and white. I'm not sure what the issue is or what I am missing.
way of adding colour to a black and white picture? I have the original in colour, but I want to change it to black and white and then put a bit of the original colour back into a couple of places...
I have found macro's to change specific RGB values to different specific values within a Corel file. I have not been successful in finding a solution on applying the same sort of change across multiple files. i.e. All Corel files within a folder will search for specific RGB's that I`ve told it to change to other specific RGB's.
I know that Corel has a macro that accomplishes a batch process where it will convert files to different file types.
I am having an issue with colours changing on me when I convert files Corel Draw files in to AI files. The colours seem to get darker. I am converting files to AI but this is making it rather difficult.
I have traced this image from a Jpeg into a Vector to colour but how can I change the black out lines into other colours. When I right click the mouse with an outline selected the colour appears around the line but there is still a fine black line in the centre of it. I want to change the actual outline into another colour
I recently switched to coreldraw x5. is there a way to change default guidelines color. and this setting should remain forever. Â
one more thing i want the green processing filling, which is now present in the background tasks to be visible. ...just like in older versions how can i do it?
 When I click File the drop down menue at the bottom has five entries for recent jobs. The most current is a file I worked on three or four days ago. How do you make Corel remember what was the last job opened?
I printed a black and white scanned (gray scale) image on Saturday, no problems. On Sunday I noticed a small hairline from the negative, cloned it out and reprinted. The image had acquired a distinct purple cast. All attempts ticking a variety of appropriate (and possibly inappropriate) boxes in PS and the printer options failed to remove the cast. Rescanning and the cast is still there. Printing on another printer (HP) and the cast is there, so I presume it's source is Photoshop (CS).
I'm having issues printing layouts to full colour. I've Exported to PDF and plotted to a printer and the same things keep happening. The Polylines and hatching keep being faded whilst printing. I've checked lineweights, I've turned off everything to do with fading - even layer managers setting fade slide bar is turned off. I've massed with plot styles and still it is happening.
I saw a Photoshop of a car the otherday where somene completely changed the colour of the car and kept all of the variations in shade and refelection. I have tried changing the Hue of a picture,
firstly, need to change the colour of an animal's eye. If I change the saturation on the image then the eye changes to my desired colour but I was wondering how I just keep the eyes that colour and not the rest of the image?
Second, It's a white cat and I need to change it's fur to black. I know this has something to do with duplicating the layer, pressing Ctrl+Backspace somewhere (i think) and painting over the fur,
Instead of cutting around my design my versacam now prints the cut line. Was fine using Corel12, but have upgraded to X4 recently. How do I get it cutting again? The colour I use for cutting is correctly named and in spot colours.
I encountered problems with large prints from CorelDRAW X5 and I searched the forum for solutions (and didn't find any just questions with the same basic problem)
Set up:
processor Intel i5 memory 12Gb Windows Home Premium 64bit
Corel X5 with memory limit patch (description at the end of the post).Every printer is on the network directly, some with fiery controllers other with their own network cards.For a demonstration I loaded a print merge with 2000 pages (but it could have been 20 pages with large graphicsm it would have a very similar result), as seen in the first picture.Â
When I open the print dialog Corel freezes up (hangs because it's waiting on splwow64.exe) until preflight is finished. If I attempt to modify ANY settings I have a 99% chance to crash the whole application. Depending on spooled file size this may take from 5 minutes to infinity. (picture in second post)
Naturally if for any reason the preflight needs to be generated again the waiting starts again.Also sometimes when I initialize printing, it hangs (third post with pic)And sometimes the preflight is generated incorrectly (as in the first page is printed multiple times and the same amount of pages are missing from the end or other wacky glitches)
 So basically is there a way to speed up the preflight generation (as in resolve the splwow64.exe issue or somehow use 100% of the processor since it just using ~35% in my case) ?
Is there a way to only manually initiate a preflight after I set up the printing (not starting automatically when I open the print dialog)?Is there a way to start only a partial preflight ? (in most cases a sample of 5-10 pages from the document is enough to set up printing)I managed to solve a lot of the issues because I started out with CorelDraw crashing from generating the print merges or trying to save them - quite far from slow printing.
So the sum up of the solutions up to this point:
Switch from 32bit windows to 64bit. Add RAM to a minimum of 8GB
Use memory patch on desired applications so the apps can use up to 4Gb of memory instead of 2Gb.Download patch here: URL.....

I'm trying 3d text for the 1st time in Photoshop Cs6 Extended. The problem is every time I create new text and and change the colour it's always showing up as black. Nothing I do seems to alter this.
The Lady in this photo was wearing a reddish jacket and I need to change it to blue, or any colour really, I tried the hue/sat layer method and brushing it in but the problem is (if you look hard or zoom a bit) is that her friends hands, and possibly her own neck, have reflections of the jacket on their skin..
To change a colour or to recolour an object i would normally use hue/saturation slider.
but in this instant i want to change the colour of and image to a colour code = d8d7d3
The original colour is d8d7d4 and i want to change it to d8d7d3. I can use fill etc but everyattempt so far has left the edge looking naff. i want to keep the sharpness but by just replacing the image colour! theres probably been numerous emails like this before but i cant follow them or its for a different approach, the feathered edge.
Is there a way to change the background layer colour once you've started a document?
When I first created my document (in PS CS2, if that makes a difference) it automatically set my background colour as sepia, instead of white.
I'm now working on a painting and just realised that I can't use white; PS is calling this sepia colour white, and I can't get anything lighter.
Is there a way to fix this? I've done it on a few pictures now and I don't want to have to start everything over.
I've just tried making a new document with a white background layer and the same thing still happens! What is this?! I'm sure this can't be right! I'm on some sort of sepia scale; I can't even do grays. *desperate*
how change brushes to paint in colour. I have downloaded quite a number and the screen shots before you download them show them in colour but when you go to use them they are all grey scale.
why the background colour changes when I'm dwg in 3D, it goes from the normal Charcoal to light brown and then to a mauve colour ? seems to be pretty random and a bit irritating. and then is it possible to turn it off so it just stays in the charcoal colour ?
I transcribe church registers, due to the poor copies I need to change the background colour as this improves the writing for me to read and transcribe correctly. When I used PSP8 which I am unable to use now I was able to change the colour by using the dropper.
I have a black vector image on a transparent bg in eps format which I wish to change to white to put on a black bg in illustrator. The only way I know how is to change it in photoshop with color overlay but when I place it in illustrator, the edges are no longer crisp.Â
First off, my experience level is basically an advanced beginner, so speak to me as if I am a 10 year old. Â Now, the attached link to a Word document illustrates my issue: [URL].... Â I am getting horrendous colour shifts when saving to a jpg in photoshop. It looks OK in photoshop when I open it, but when viewed anywhere else it is brutal. I included screenshots of my colour settings and I am working to sRGB and embedding that profile when I save, so I am at a loss as to why it shifted so much.
I have selected part of a photo i wish to change the colour of using the magic wand now when i goto change colour using hue and saturation I cannot locate the exact colour that i want..
I have an image of a seed that is currently black and whit and I would like to make it beige but keep the original... well ?texture? Don’t really know what to call it.... but the look of the seed. Basically I want it to look exactly the same except in a different colour.
