It has been a while since I've been here and I REALLY need emergency assistance because my mind has gone completely blank with AGE.
I'm trying to create an action which I will be using for batch processing.
I have an image on which I need to place 3 text layers
The first layer I need to center across the image about 100px from bottom
The second layer I need to center across the image about 300px from bottom
The third layer I need to place about 200px in from the right edge and about 600px from bottom
i have 2 layer / ive set a particular distance between them . if i don't want to fuse in a single layer but i want to center them to the background keeping the distance and position tham what i have to do?i don't want to fuse them in a single layer.
What I mean is that say you have layers I and I that are positioned next to each other so they look like "II". You want to center them in relation to some selected space so that they still look like "II" and not "I".
Do you see what I'm saying?
Is there a way to center them so that they're still in the same configuration relative to each other instead of centering them so that they both get layered on top of each other in the centering? Maybe by linking them or some other way?
I have to copy two lines of text into hundreds of images, and one piece has to be centered, 3 pixels from the top, the other centered at the bottom? Is there a way to make an action that will place things in the center, regardless of image size?
When you centrally allign text horizontally and vertically in a text box, the text sits slightly high of the centre. Is there any way of setting an action or setting to deal with this rather than adjusting by eye every time?
The Inset Spacing settings within the Area Type Options drop-down are just too cumbersome. Is there an easier way to center text within a text box like we can do in InDesign? Why they left this out of Illustrator CS6.
I'm creating a logo that consists of the word DIFFERENT in text and a shape, a dot (an ellipse) that I want to appear above the I and be vertically aligned with I.
How can I do this? The problem is that I can't see how to identify the point in the text - the centre of the I - to act as the target. I can't seem to get any of the Snap to Object tools to work.
I feel that I should be able to mark a specific point anywhere on a shape or an object and use those points to align.
I suspect that I could achieve the effect that I want by splitting the text characters up into individual objects, than I can align them more obviously but then I set up some other issues with kerning.
I am trying to re size my text layer so that the borders would align with the edges of the text, but every time I adjust the upper part of the layer the text itself would shift downward, cutting off the lower part of the text. Is there a way I can conveniently adjust the layer so that it looks like the text fits the layer.
Example I am trying to achieve is something like this.
I cannot add multiple strokes to a font. The program only allows me to align the strokes to the center. While on shapes it allows me to align the stroke inside, outside, and center. .
When increasing the width of a stroke around a shape the stroke is not centered... WHY DOES IT DO THIS??? Even if I use the controls in the stroke window to change this it sill plays up.
If I simply draw a line and want to align the stroke to one side (instead of the centre) how do I do this?
1) Giving a path offset effect.
I played with this, but didn't got me any result. I mean by giving the offset different values, I didn't saw the stroke moving to one side.
2) Creating a new brush for this.
3) Something by using an invisible rectangle.
At this moment, not one method have worked for me
What I basically want is to create those 'lineal' lines in the wing below. I already made an outline of the ribs and control of alignment of strokes gives me more options and flexibility to draw this.
I need to center-align a rectangle to a group/block object (also it's midle), how do I do that? Can I create/insert a grip or snap point in the midle of the group/block object?
how can I align a group of objects to the center of the artboard or elsewhere. Rt now it aligns each object in the group to the center, but I need the group as a whole to be centered.
When creating patterns with for example very easy dimensions like the artboard 400 x 400 px etc, and everything right placed, as you can see on the print screens, after having created the pattern, it never aligns center-aligned like I would like it too.
Left: the original positioning before creating the pattern. Right: the result of a perfect square, center aligned to the artboard and with the swatch applied, not too pretty he?
I am trying to do so my animation stage is align center. The problem is that the width of my animation is 1900px and I want to align center and overflow-x:hidden.
Why can't I align a single layer that is inside a layer group? The align tool would always select the top most layer group as the 'boundary' for alignment, thus automatically selecting the whole layers inside of it and align them as a group.
Is this a bug or just GIMP's weakness? It definitely reduces the layer group's usefulness.
I make a compound object, then when I resize it, it moves anchors around. Note the corners on the 3rd "8" -- they're pinched together. This is happening on a lot of different object
I am actually an Encore user who uses Photoshop only for the menu. I am not experience with Photoshop.
A button in Encore menu is made up with a few layers. Example here can be a box and a text label below. These are 2 different layers in Photoshop, grouped together.
I'd like to aling the text label the to box. Normally the box is wider than the label. So a simple arrangement is center the text label according to the text width and box width. Right now, I have to manually adjust it by choosing both and align "center". Is there any way to automatically center the text label?
I am creating a banner for a website. The banner is say 400 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. I drag the horizontal type tool so that it covers the entire rectangular shape exactly. I can center the text horizontally by selecting Window-->Paragraph and then selecting the center button. However I can't seem to center the text vertically in the banner using some Photoshop option. Once the text is typed then I can move it to what I think is vertically centered but it may not be exact.
The reason I am looking for exactness is I have to create several banners that are the same dimension but the text within will be different. Some of the banners will be one line and others will be two lines. I would prefer to vertically center them exactly.
how do you align text in new picture. I click on the move icon on the left and then go to the top to click on the align buttons after i select the layer but i'm not able to click on any of the align buttons. maybe the layer is locked or something. I just want to create buttons and have all the text in the center of each button. it is so simple iwth jasc, but why not adobe?
I'm trying to align some text with each other but they keep skipping pixels when I try to align. In fireworks. I would normally just type in the coordinates but I'm not sure if photoshop has this feature?
Have the PS trial 7.0 version and have opened an image file and put 5 texts on the image from top to bottom, seperate textboxes, but the text isn't aligned at the left, can i do this ?
is there any possibility in GIMP to align a text not vertically at the bottom of a text box (there are options for left, right, center and fill but that's only the horizontal alignment). The motivation is, that I change a text in an image quite often and it whould "align itself" if it whould always be aligned at the bottom of the textbox.
I get this problem with Illustrator too...when I right align some text, each line of text is pushed all the way to the right, except for the bottom line of the text block. There remains one space - so the bottom line doesn't push all the way to the right.
AS3: In component list my icon and label text are not align properly, when app is started, label text is over icon and when I put mouse pointer over any item in the list then alignment it's ok.
This is when I test flash app: And when I put mouse pointer over any item, alignment of icon and label is ok! Here is code:
