Photoshop :: CS6 Stopped Interacting With Windows And Was Closed
May 22, 2013
Below is what i have in event viewer:
Â
The program Photoshop.exe version 13.0.1.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
I try to run Photoshop.exe, but it doesn't respond. I get this error message. How to fix it? I have no idea where is a problem? I had no problems with it earlier.

I just installed my Photoshop CS Version 8 into Windows 7 on a new PC. When the program is opened, the File Browser icon does not toggle, and I have to go to File menu to open Browse.
The browser window now cannot be moved, maximized, or closed. The same applies to any image that is opened. Notwithstanding, all the functions of Photoshop are working OK. Since Adobe no longer supports this version
I am trying to run Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the splash screen goes away and the main gui opens. The only option on the error is "Close Program". Â I am on a computer with an i7 processor and 12GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, running four monitors. Â Over the course of the last day, I have reformatted my computer, and reinstalled Windows twice. I have reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite more times than I can remember. I have also downloaded and installed the latest video card drivers from Nvidia. Â I continue to have the same problem every time I try to open any of the programs in the CS5 suite. The only time I have come close to getting it to work was immediately after installing the new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I was able to open it one time without it crashing, Once I restarted my computer, Photoshop continued to give me the same error every time I try to open it. Â I have no other software installed on my computer. It is a brand new installation of Windows 7.I have been on the phone with Adobe technical suuport for about an hour and a half, and I have yet to get a single suggestion other than attempting an install with my network cable unplugged. Other than that, they seem to be fond of transfering me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all of my information every time).
I downloaded and installed cs6 for windows 7 32 bit and cant open it to use,i get the message" adobe photoshop cs6 has stopped working" I have tried different graphics drivers but still the same. My other adobe softaware works fine,IE: elements11 and lightroom4.
On my new Dell XPS 8500 Win 8 computer Photoshop CS6 keeps stopping working. I've tried both 64-bit and 32-bit versions and updated the video driver after phoning Dell. Also installed latest Adobe program updates. I keep getting the error message "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."Â
Elemets 11 stopped working with the "windows is checking for a solution" message but nothing after that. I have tried the Ctrl,Alt,shift. Delete Elements settings but this has not worked.
I am no longer able to import any new files into Lightroom. I was in the middle of an import and all of a sudden it stopped and the program hung. I am running Win 7 64 with an i7 with 12 gigs of RAM. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom multiple times (Using both the windows installer and via Lightroom and then searched to see if there were any orpne files on my drive. ) , did a system restore to a point about a month ago, tried importing a simple jpeg file from the hard drive as well as CR2 files (Canon) and even DNG files. Also tried setting up a new catalog with no success. Plenty of hard drive space and no drive errors. There is nothing wrong with the files as I can open them in Photoshop. I can see the files on the import screen though they are not always rendered. When I choose import it just starts, says Importing files and hangs. When I finally give up, and I have waited an hour or more, and kill the process I get the message - No photos or videos were found to import. Other tidbits.  Takes a long time to be able to select files to import from the import screen. System seems to run for some time before I can select or deselect (If this were a Mac it would show a beach ball during this wait)  Each time I quit or try to change catalogues it asks for the weekly backup (my default) even though I backed it up sometimes as recently as within the past 10 minutes and those backups appear to be valid and in the directory. Every other feature, including Export seems to work I just can no longer import files.
i'm on a windows 7 HP Z820 and premiere pro as well as after effects CC stopped reading pores files from my black magic cinema camera (2.5k), but the audio still works (and all other players on the system are playing the files properly). Â - uninstall/reinstall premiere pro CC - didn't work - uninstall/reinstall apple codec - didn't work - shot different codecs (cinema.dng/prores/DNxHD) - RAW and DNxHD kept working - encoded the camera's SSD's HFS+ on windows / oSX journaled on a mac - no difference
I have CS6 wich I just DL a few weeks ago for school, I use no plug-ins or other add on software. The problem is my mouse will not interact with the panels, (ie layers, swatches, and the such) in InDesign. So far Photoshop Illustrator, and Bridge all work just fine it is only ID that I am having issues with. On the panels I can get it to open the group but it has no interaction with the fine details, selecting layers, double click name to rename locking viewing and open layer options, create new layer button will also not work, I can use the options button at the top right of the panel for some things but it leaves me limited on what can be done. I can not even use my mouse to switch between layers. (yes my mouse works, it is charged and interacts with other software and games with no problem)
I wasn't able to find out any information on what format the parameters are required to look like when passed along with the Method ExportAsFixedFormat.
I'm currently using the following code to change the active printer followed by the printout command  (vlax-put-property XL "ActivePrinter" "DocuCom PDF Driver on Ne03:")(vlax-invoke-method XLS "Printout")
where XL is my spreadsheet and XLS is the active worksheet. This works but the printer controls filename and location.  (vlax-invoke-method XLS "ExportAsFixedFormat"
I've found the ExportAsFixedFormat but can not find any documentation that shows how to format the parameters within LISP to send to Excel.
The object browser for VBA in Excel shows the following:  Sub ExportAsFixedFormat(Type As XlFixedFormatType, [Filename], [Quality], [IncludeDocProperties], [IgnorePrintAreas], [From], [To], [OpenAfterPublish], [FixedFormatExtClassPtr]) Member of Excel.Chart  I recording a macro and got the following that shows some additional information.  ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:= _"C: est.pdf" _, Quality:=xlQualityStandard, IncludeDocProperties:=True, IgnorePrintAreas _:=False, OpenAfterPublish:=True  Is there any documention showing what this looks like when using the vlax-invoke-method?
I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2009. I xref a lot of floor plans underneath my new floor plans to trace different walls, roof outlines etc and ever since I started using the smart walls this has become a real pain. When I xref in a demo floor plan for example underneath my new remodeled plan the walls from the xref interact with the new walls and of course bring up all the error triangles. Is there a way to make the xref not interact with the plan that it is being place under?
I have used PEDIT to join multiple polylines, which now appear as polylines. But when I use QSELECT to show all open (non-closed) section, one polyline still shows up as open.
I've attached the file I'm working on. The polyline in question is the green outline on the object on the right.
i want to have multiple offsetoutlines on a closed or non-closed path. with "offset path" i can make only one additional outline but i need multiple? Â i searched all over the net for answers with no success.
Once a path is closed, how do you break it open? And while I'm at it: I have a vector mask. I want to draw another vector shape and subtract it from this vector mask. How would I do this?
I have two portraits the better one has one person with closed eyes. Is there a way to use healing brush ( or something else I haven't thought of ) to copy the eyes from the second portrait but enlarge them some before placing them in the first.
Getting just the eyes isn't a problem because he wears round glasses but they are too small. I tried changing the brush size before putting them into the first but it didn't change the size of the eyes, it just gave more area around them.
I mainly use the pen tool for making selections, but sometimes the quick and handy poly lasso tool is the best option for the job. When getting a little too quick with it, you are likely to double click when what you really want is to just make another anchor for the the lasso. This closes the selection, and usually you have to start all over again to get it right! Is there any way to undo the last step (just the close selection part)? B
I noticed my layers panel became closed every time I start Photoshop cs6. I tried to create new workspace with open panel but that's had no effect, panel is closed after the restart of Photoshop.
I'm on Win7x64 with 8GB of RAM and all PsCS6 updates. Have Bridge and Ps open. Open image (jpg or psd or .CR2 with shift double-click) from Bridge into Ps then close image in Ps (with or without making any edits). Try to rename the Bridge folder in which the closed image resides. Bridge wont let me, says image is being used by another application. Have to close Ps before Bridge will allow me to rename the folder.
When Photoshop opens, the layer panel starts closed so no layers can be seen, like this. Â Â It should start opened, like this. Â Â Even if the workspace is reset (e.g. 'Essentials (Default)'), it still happens after Photoshop is re-opened. Â This issue only started occurring recently. MC CS6 PS, Windows 7 64-bit.
Since there was a leaking condenstor at my motherboard, I had to buy a new PC. I bought a dual core machine, 4 Gb RAM, running under XP.I re-installed CS2. Problem is that CS2 is slowing down now when I am retouching a whole map of pictures.
As far as I can analyse (Windows Task Manager), I conclude dat while retouching dozens of RAW-images of a map one after the other, I see in Windows Task Manager that CS2 uses more than 500.000 Kb, meaning that CS2 keeps my images stacked in memory, even after being closed in CS2 ! Only when quit (and restart) CS2, the memory is cleared.
Although this is only 1/8 of my total RAM, it causes an annoying lag while handling new files in Windows. It can't be meant that I have to close CS2 periodically, besides, I didn't have the problem on my old PC.
My PC-supplier concluded that the problem would be caused by Photoshop settings after re-installing, because other programs worked fast engough. This would point at Preference settings in CS2. However I can't find which and how. Does anyone of you know how to solve my problem?
I've question. On my CS4 the layer palette is always closed when I open CS4. Is there some way to set it to stay open? I tried to save a personalised workspace but it does not help.
I hope you know what I mean. It's a real pain since I work with layers a lot and I'm used to having the layer palette open right away. It's useless to have it closed anyway since there is not space to be gained down right where it usually sits.
Is there any way to make Photoshop delete (or move to Recycle Bin, doesn't matter) a file in an Action? Â Basically at the moment I manually open a picture, then I activate my Action which does a bunch of automated things, saves a .png copy, closes the file. I would like my Action to also remove the original file.
(I cannot use batch processing because the picture names do not follow a logical pattern, therefore I still wish to open the files myself.)
I got a .psb-document with a adjustmentlayer>solid color as a background. The color is a Pantone 354-C. When I save my document (CMYK), and then reopen it, I no longer get the Pantone color library but the default color picker box. I see no visible change in color though so I'm not sure if the color changes. If I click the color library button in my adjustment layer, it automatically pics the PMS color beneth the 354-C (that is 355 C) and I see a change in color. So I have to repick 354-C again.
I am attempting to install Photoshop CS3 on a new computer. I keep getting the message that the installation cannot continue until Internet Explorer is closed. I have tried disconnecting the internet, WiFi, Bluetooth. I still get the same message.Â
