Photoshop :: CS6 Doesn't Load Image?
Jun 19, 2013
When opening an image in photoshop, the canvas is not visible. As you can see the opened image is not visible, but when moving the image window around I can see the image. Then when i release the image from the cursor and stop moving it around, it is no longer visible.Â
Also when maximizing the window, this happens: I am then forced to close the window. I'm running on windows 8 64-bit, and my gpu is a Nvidia Quadro K2000m, with a pretty capable laptop. My GPU drivers seem to be up to date. I understand that this problem can be fixed if I select to not use my graphics processor, but I'd like to take advantage of my gpu.
Setting the drawing mode to basic has had no effect. I'm also having similar problems with other programs like autodesk mudbox.

how to overcome the horribly sluggish load time for photoshop CC?That is, when the app loads, it takes at least a minute before I can load a file, most of the time 2-3 minutes.I am running a quad processor 2.4GHz computer/8G ram that's less than 6 months old. Seriously adobe... This is ridiculous.
Â
It seems like all your content works similarly too. the "Creative Cloud" app is something of a joke. Takes 2 minutes to load, andother minute or 3 to show info, and when an app needs an update, well, jsut look out. You're in for a long wait while adobe chugs along at 1980s connection speeds. (I am on a 24 down 7 up connection, there's no excuse)

I'm having a difficult time figuring out why my PS CS5 is not loading my brushes properly.
Â
I see the brushes however Photoshop does not load their settings. They all are flate and hard.
Â
All my brushes before in PS CS2 worked properly so I don't understand why CS5 is not. And I have loaded CS5 brushes and still does not read their settings.
Â
Do I have to do something first before loading the brushes?

Before migrating to a new computer, when I clicked to open PS CS3, Bridge would automatically open (as I had programmed in the preferences). Now I am getting an error message that the beta is no longer available. I payed for the upgrade to PS CS3 extended. I can click on the Bridge icon in the system tray and Bridge opens just fine. I have uninstalled all previous versions of PS. I deactivated the old PS on the older computer and re-activated it on the new computer. I can't find out where I need to go to get rid of the error.

I am using VB.NET 2010 Express, and have created a dll that only appears to load correctly when launching the debugger. When I use netload to load my dll I get an error stating:
"Cannot load assembly. Error details: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly...
...System.NotSupportedException: An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the .NET Framework..."
The error pops even if I move the dll to the local acad support folder. I have already changed the target framework to ".NET Framework 4" since I am modifying this from a file that loaded correctly in 2011 with 3.5.

I have a problem with loading a dll file I created with Visual Express 2010. We are using this VB-project in the company for a year now and we have never had a problem with it. But now we do.
The dll is loaded with the use of the Autoloader. For me it is a nice way to load dll and lisp files everybody needs at startup. This is the xml code
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><ApplicationPackage SchemaVersion="1.0" Name="Instellingen ABR" > <Components> <ComponentEntry AppName="LISPAWSABR" ModuleName="./Contents/awsexport.lsp" LoadOnCommandInvocation="True"> <Commands GroupName="ADN_MINESWEEPER"> <Command Local="awsexport" Global="awsexport" StartupCommand="False" />
[code]...
Like I said, all went well untill I tried to install another copy of Autocad on another computer. The lisp-files are loading fine on this pc but the dll-file is not loading. When I try to load it with netload everything is ok so the dll should be allright.
Like all other pc's it is a Windows 7 64bit pc and nothing is different form those other pc's. So I really don't know where to look for the problem, let alone the solution.
I tried everything like renaming the dll (no spaces), trying to load the dll only, also loading from the programdata folder instead of the programfiles(x86) folder.

It doesn't happen very often (apparently, 8 days ago was the last time), but I would like to know more about this error. Â
The .png I've attached shows what happens more easily than I can describe it.
It only happens on Part1 (and possible Assembly1?). Â If I've made a new part and the menu loaded correctly, it won't load improperly on a later new part (, like Part2, Part 3, etc). Â It does not happen saved parts that I open. Â If I have other files open when this happens, the Manage menu seems to be correct in any file, but Part1. Â Closing IV and reopening has fixed it every time, but one. Â The time closing/reopening IV didn't fix it, I closed it again, and reloding IV again, the menu was fine.
The visible portions of the buttons work correctly, but the empty spaces where the icons for the button should appear, do nothing.
No other tab has done this.

Planning on moving to 2013 from 2009, but I want 2009 working during the migrations period...
How to get 3DS MAX 2009 working with backburner 2013.
The Backburner manager dosn't seem to load any 2009 render plugins, I've upgraded the current node with the latest Service pack/hot fix for 2009, which adressed the an compability issue with backburner 2012. Isn't BB 2012 also using the new "render adapters"?
Tried everything... reinstalls, regedit checks, AppData cleans and so on...
Took a "while" just to get BB 2013 running at all, until I found a way to disable IPv6 via the helper service.

I've been experiencing problems with the Gradient editor since I got PS and the problem is that whenever I create a gradient through the gradient editor and then load it, it does load it and instead just duplicates the ones that already exist.
Â
I save all gradients at:
Â
C:UsersRHAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6PresetsGradients
Â
However it does (mostly) work when I import pre-made (from web) Gradients.
Â
I don't know why this happens but it also did the same thing when I had CS5.5!

I just recently used the CS4 Extended trial (which worked fine). It's 30 days ended and I sadly went back to my purchased copy of CS2 (actually own the whole Prodcution Studio Premium). Now when I try it, Photoshop CS2 loads fine, but then hangs whenever I try to load ANY image. It even displays the thumbnails correctly. Just freezes and then gives the "Not responding" error after a few more seconds when I actually try to click on any picture. I uninstalled CS4 -still happened. I uninstalled CS2 and reloaded the whole suite. Same thing. I then uninstalled it again and then manually deleted all the files I could physically find, reinstalled it. Same thing. I am going mad!! I am running the whole thing on Vista 64 Home Premium with 8 gigs. (And everything worked FINE before the trial, and yes, I tried with and without all the latest CS2 patches AND tried running it in Windows XP SP2 compatability mode already -although it worked fine before without it.)

I am using PS CS2 on my XP based PC and it has worked fine for a number of years. Recently whenever I start PS is loads fine but then the very first image takes ages to load (>1 minute). All subsequent images load quickly as you'd expect.
It doesn't matter where that first image is saved and the size of the image makes no difference.

OS Vista
Photoshop CS3
Photoshop CS3 was all working so well until it stopped opening PSD format files that I had previously created.
I can open a JPG file but not a PSD file.
When I open a PSD file I get a messgae box "Could not complete your request because of a Program Error"
If I create a NEW USER ACCOUNT in widows VISTA, photoshop opens the same PSD files correctly.
Therefore there must be something wrong with files associated with MY windows user account.
I have looked at, and compared, user account files associated with Photoshop, even tried replacing the photoshop related files in my user account with those from the new user account.

I have created a psd file with 5 layers. each layer contains a plain un filled box of various sizes. I have created some actions to toggle the visibility of the layers. The layers represent TV format shapes (16:9 4:3 title safe etc). I want to be able to double click on a jpeg and for it to open in photoshop (ok I know how to do that in windows) as the background layer with the other layers I have already created and saved to a psd file on top. Is this possible?
Also. If I have the image with the layers open can I drag an image into it that becomes the background layer?

Is there a plugin that will allow the loading of binary data as an image?
There is a similar capability in Photoshop and PainShopPro. I'm not writing about a RAW image loader ( to handle camera data ). I'm writing about a loader for a data matrix.
For example, I have 8-bit data, a 257x257 matrix, that can be viewed as 8-bit greyscale, and could then be assigned a palette in PSP version 8. After reworking the data visually, it could be resaved as a binary matrix without the palette, resulting in a new 257x257 matrix.
I deal with flight simulator data, and often have use to edit land classification data this way. I can do it in PSP8, but I much prefer wortking with Paint.net
I also deal with 16 bit data for elevation... I don't know if Paint.net even would have this capability.

As with every ACAD update, how to do the same task differently and discovering the useful functions that have been removed. Â With 2014 comes Live Maps which apparently killed Base Jump. Â But here's the problem, when running just basic ACAD, I can load the background image using Live Maps, but with the same drawing opened in C3D, no image. Â Using the GEOGRAPHICLOCATION command causes, well, nothing to happen either. Â Background image to load in C3D? Â Not being able to plot the image will be the next fun hurdle that will only cause more frustration I am sure.

I just installed it and picked an image to try a few things with. When I open up any of the filter windows (for sharpening and others etc) my image does not open up in the adjustment window. Any idea why that is happening? Did I miss something when I installed the program? Is there a setting that should be set and isn't? I have Vista on my lap top, and XP-SP3 on my desktop, and it is the same in both.

When I load an image either a jpeg or psd file then make a layer copy I am unable to apply a preset action to this. Either a default action or one of my own on a Mac OSX running Lion. This did not present a problem in CS5 and I am wondering if I've missed something basic?

I tried to load videos from Canon 7D (.mov) and from a Sony NEX-7 (mp4) and either get a message "problem loading file" or the picture frame comes up in Grid View, with no image inside the frame. It shows the length of the video but I cannon see it. Ironically these same files, loaded in LR4, will run in Picasa.

When I open an Image in Photoshop CC the image does not appear in my work space. The tab identifies that the image is opened, layers shows the image is open, however it is not on the screen. All tools, brushes etc work, but I can't see what they are doing. I can only see the image if i click the tab and move it around. Once my mouse lets go of the image window it dissapears again. After moving it around and such it gets buggy and the image crashes not Photoshop. i have attached two screen shots of my problem. the second with the image, i have my mouse clicked, held down holding onto the window to acheive this.

Just switched from paintshop pro.
Worked with an earlier version of Photoshop which had , well much more than I needed before.
But there are some basic things that, if because of how I work and the speed I am used to with the 'flow' of things, I will not remain on PS and go back to psp if this is not possible. Seems like software is going backwards but I disgress
Issue: I want to be able to print screen, and then jump into PS and just click anywhere on the gray area and paste the scrnshot as a new image or hovering selection onto a current image without having to open a new window to the size of the image.
Also - The zoom tool is VERY annoying in PS. I'm used to being able to just use the mouse wheel to zoom in, fix something , then quickly zoom out to check the validity of the fix...or zoom back in and repair the issue further etc etc. Is this not possibly also?
I REALLY need AT LEAST these two functions to work like this. Everything else I will muttle through unless there is 30 steps to do what I could do in 5 in psp which from what I hear I doubt.
I am running CS2 9.02
