Photoshop :: CS6 Render Lighting - Don't Work On Laptop?

Render Lighting (and other 3D things) don't work on my laptop. Initially in Preferences Performance, Use Graphics Processor wasn't checked. In that scenario, I didn't get the first message below - just the secind one (not enough memory). I go back to check Use Graphics Processor, and I now get both messages. Under Advanced Settings, Use OpenCL is grayed out. System Info below.

my problem; when I use the filter; 'render'- lighting effects - it will no longer save any styles-(neither mine nor the pre-sets-they are gone).
Have tried reinstalling to different directory, etc but no avail. I can add lights and all during current session, but cannot save when i try, an error message just pops up and says"
"an error occured while trying to save the style"

Just upgraded to CS2 and went to Lighting Effects assuming to find the big drop down menu of styles, but the box is blank and also when I try to save a style I have made, it comes up with an error.
Any ideas where they might have all gone?

it started about a week or so ago but when i tried using the lighting effects filter rather than showing a shadowy gradient effect like it usually does it is either pue blakc or just shwos an unnafected picture and when i play with the lighting rig or change slider settigns like texture for example it flickers back and forth like it's broken
.
but it works perfeclty in CS5 without a hitch.
i tried searching to see if others had a similar problem but all i got was that CS6 either didnt coem with it installed or the app doesnt display correclty. i dont know what to do i dont want to keep goign to an older photoshop just to use it's basic features.

Previously when i use it, it would have a window pop out for me to choose the options... but now i cant...
I am using Windows XP and Photoshop CS2
anyone know the reason why? and what i can do to make the pop out window back so that i can make adjustments?

Since I upgraded from CS4 to CS6, I am unable to use the FILTER > RENDER > LIGHTING EFFECTS. Why is this? Also, My eraser brush disappears after working on multiple files.

Problems with 3D objects. PS freezes every time I create a 3D object and try to come out of 3D mode or save the file.
Updating driver for ATI Mobility Radeon HD560V display adapter.AMD website auto-suggested and installed HD 4650 (?) driver.That made PS work a bit better, but other stuff started freezing (Chrome, Bridge)Went to Dell site and reinstalled HD 560V. Had to uninstall and reinstall Catalyst Control Centre.

I am working on a model that came with lights and textures but I deleted those to render faster but all I am getting are white and black renders. Can I reset the project to default lighting/render settings without loosing my modeling work?
What I want is to hit the render tab and get the same result as if I just opened max, made a cube and hit render without any special lights or render settings.

I'm creating 3D architectural models; primarily interior views. I use the ANIPATH command quite frequently and I'm good there.
However, I have not been able to render a still camera view that shows the lighting and resultant shadows. Whenever I attempt to render a still from a particular camera; I set it to realistic. It shows the 3D objects with materials; however not the lighting.
I've been using ACAD for about 15 years now, and consider my skill level upper-intermediate.
So far, the only successful still renderings I've been able to do are those directly associated with the typical ortho views: i.e., NE, NW, SE, SW, front, back, etc. But no avail on rendering from the camera point of view.

I have a HP laptop on which I run AutoCAD 2012 AND Civil3D 2012 both of which for some reason do not have the function keys working as normal. Oddly enough if I attach an external keyboard, the function keys work as expected.

how to use lighting in AutoCAD but when i place the light in my drawing i can't see it. I have made sure the light is on and the default lighting is turned off but still i can't see it. I tried to render it presentation style but still nothing. Attached is a screenshot of what i am trying to do.

I was wondering how on earth do we enable IBL lighting to work inside 3ds max 2013/2012?
Heres my quick workflow
1. Create omni light, disable it to get rid of 3ds max default lights.
2. Go to 8 > Insert Environment / background switch texture.
3. Put Bitmap HDRI inside environment.
4. Disable GI
5. Assign A&D shaders with no reflection just pure gray
6. Render = black render.
And thats it, I did try Optimizer v1 it don't work. I try tons of other things to get it to work but nothing seems to work.

I keep getting a dialogue box that says "Revit was unable to render the view due to an unknown error during render calculations. The rendering operation will be canceled." The only option is to click "close" and when i do so, it continues to render but only the sky and grass. My buildings are not present.

The same scene, same settings, produce 2 very different outputs in max 2011 and 2012, render to texture for normals is currently useless in max 2012.
The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.

Each time I want to have batch render with 4 camera views. I thought it would provide me with elements along with it. But it just brings me only one file as I set .png.
I know it works with State Set by changing camera view. But Batch render should work too.

Okey, so I want to render a normal map directly from render production. Pretty much like the Viewport Filter "Normal map" in Mudbox. Can this be done? And I also want to make clear that I do not want to use "render to texture". I dont want to do any projection against an other mesh, I want to do it directly to the camera.

before buying a new laptop. My question is will the following specs work well with adobe products like Photoshop, fireworks and like programs. I don’t play any games so that is not an issue. I do mostly web design and like I said using Adobe software mostly. The following is from a Sony Vio Z-series. I am leaning towards it only because it is small and compact….only issue is the graphic card….seems a little weak. However some people say it will be fine with adobe software…not for games. Is it possible to render an object to fit exactly into the render window. i.e If I have a plane object segmented into 512 * 512 segments and I randomly colour each polygon. If I render at 512*512 pixels, I would like to fit the plane exactly so that the rendered image shows 1 pixel per polygon.
Whilst you can select region to render its not that exact and is based on the visual window. can it be utilized with render blowup.
Basically I want to render a square object exactly ( no borders) at a large resolution, hence the need for render blowup so that I can render into smaller tiles.

I have a new HP envy i7, 16GB, Win 8 laptop and am installing a new Production Premium Suite. I installed PS, Premiere and Audition. Premiere and Audition start fine, but PS freezes the moment it is started. Cannot access any menu items, and have to close nonresponding program via Task Manager.
