View 1 RepliesI recently bought a Gateway M280 tablet laptop, and it works great. The pen pressure works with the default painting programs, but for Photoshop (7) and Painter, the pen pressure won't work at all. Even after I toggle the brush settings.

Updating driver for ATI Mobility Radeon HD560V display adapter.AMD website auto-suggested and installed HD 4650 (?) driver. That made PS work a bit better, but other stuff started freezing (Chrome, Bridge)Went to Dell site and reinstalled HD 560V. Had to uninstall and reinstall Catalyst Control Centre.

In that scenario, I didn't get the first message below - just the secind one (not enough memory). I go back to check Use Graphics Processor, and I now get both messages. Under Advanced Settings, Use OpenCL is grayed out. System Info below.

I recently downloaded the trial for CS6 Extended, after getting rid of CS2 (due to various computer issues, etc).

Anyway, my Genius tablet worked fine in Photoshop CS2, Paint Tool SAI, and Corel Painter, and it works in CS6 only as a cursor that can move around - but does not let me select anything, or draw/paint, etc.
Would the Wacom tablet 'Pen and touch' work with CS5?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using photoshop CS6 on a 64 bit windows system and my Cintiq 12 will not function with the pressure sensitivity.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a strange bug with photoshop when working with a pen and tablet. I'm using the CC version on the latest Mac OS
Â
While working on an illustration I'll frequently use keyboard shortcuts. command+z, i, r, z, option, etc. Someties after making a stroke with the brush tool, I'll go to undo with command+option+z and nothing will happen. Other keyboard shortcuts do the same thing—no response.
get my pen (Wacom Intuos 2) to work properly with dodge tool like the mouse? It is the dodge effect was made by mouse..It is by the pen (same brush size)
The brush becomes too small and has a hardness effect, not smooth at all. If I size up the brush real large it's still not right (like in lower corner) and it's hard to control because I hardly see the brush movement. Pressing the pen tip on the tablet pen/mouse mode didn't.
I own an excellent Bosto 19mb tablet, which is a cintiq clone (but much cheaper) which alas only works for pc. You can see it here: [URL] However, I'm a good mac/iOS developer so I've written an open source driver for it. Source is here: [URL]...

It works really swetly with all but 2 applications:
Corel painter 12 and
Photoshop Cs5.1
Â
I'm downloading a trial of CS6 as I write this but I imagine it will have the same problem.I have the bosto tablet monitor and my wacom tablet both plugged into my system (driver conflicts don't exist on mac). I also pretty well understand all the HID events etc, needed to make the driver work. I'm generating identical events to my wacom tablet, which is why I can't for the life of me figure out why i have problems with photoshop.
Â
The problems are as follows:Photoshop CS5.1Holding the pen down and drawing does not draw a line, it will draw a dot, or a straight line from thepoint where the pen touched the tablet, to an approximation (looks like a mean) of the end point,In photoshop, in the brush dynamic settings, I get the "pressure not supported" icon. When my wacom pen generates an "enter" proximity event [that is, when I put it near the wacom tablet], the triangle dissapears,When my bosto pen (for which I'm writing the driver) enters [that is, when I put it near the bosto screen], the triangle appears again.
Â
These are my questions:How on earth does wacom get photoshop to treat it as a pressure sensitive device? Is photoshop listening to different events,or are there undocumented transactions going on which allow the wacom tablet to work, but cause my one to draw dots or straight lines?Where can i go to for support on this issue?
I have a HP laptop on which I run AutoCAD 2012 AND Civil3D 2012 both of which for some reason do not have the function keys working as normal. Oddly enough if I attach an external keyboard, the function keys work as expected.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated to GIMP 2.8, and my tablet -a digipro WP5540- does not work with GIMP unless it is in disabled mode under input devices. When "disabled", it works except with no pressure sensitivity. When "enabled", the tablet can be used to click on menu options and the brush will follow the tablet position at random intervals only when the cursor is not on the canvas.
View 1 Replies View Relatedbefore buying a new laptop. My question is will the following specs work well with adobe products like Photoshop, fireworks and like programs. I don’t play any games so that is not an issue. I do mostly web design and like I said using Adobe software mostly. The following is from a Sony Vio Z-series. I am leaning towards it only because it is small and compact….only issue is the graphic card….seems a little weak. However some people say it will be fine with adobe software…not for games. I need some honest opinions and please no advice to switch to Mac…thanks.Sony Vio Z:2.80GHz (P9700) Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor256GB SSD8GB DDR3 SDRAMScreen Specs:13.1" Screen1600 x 900 Resolution XBRITE-DuraView™ TechnologyMobile Broadband Built-InLED BacklightGraphics:· NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS GPU with up to 2010MB total available graphics memory · Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with Intel® Clear Video · Up to 256MB of dedicated video RAM · Hybrid Graphics System · Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am currently running CS3 on a laptop that will soon be replaced. I know that I have to de-activate CS3 on the old laptop, before I can install CS3 on the new laptop. (Note: New laptop is an ASUS G71G-Q2) Once CS3 is installed I will then run the upgrade disk for CS4. What I'm trying to figure out is this: BEFORE I install the CS4 upgrade, do I need to install all the updates/fixes to CS3 to insure "trouble free" operation of CS4? or does installing the CS3 updates play no role in CS4 as they are like two different app's? I would assume that whatever responce I get here about CS3 and CS4 would also apply to Lightroom 1.4 and Lightroom 2.3 regarding updates.Â

I'm running Vista Home Edition with 3G RAM and I just updated the graphic card drivers.
Photoshop's GPU options are greyed out, and I can't use the rotate tool. Does this chipset simply not have the capacity to support whatever the program wants, or am I just not configuring something right?
The laptop is an ASUS F80L (which has not much information online itself).
