I recently downloaded the trial for CS6 Extended, after getting rid of CS2 (due to various computer issues, etc).
Anyway, my Genius tablet worked fine in Photoshop CS2, Paint Tool SAI, and Corel Painter, and it works in CS6 only as a cursor that can move around - but does not let me select anything, or draw/paint, etc.
how to adjust Genius pen tablet i 608 to Photoshop CS3, When I put a CD on my tablet and draw a circle around it, I get an elipse in photoshop. I have tried by setting the pen area in my latest Genius driver to match my paper size in Ps but that didn't work. I need to set up that ratio or the proportions to match so my drawings would not be skewed.
I've noticed a strange bug with photoshop when working with a pen and tablet. I'm using the CC version on the latest Mac OS
While working on an illustration I'll frequently use keyboard shortcuts. command+z, i, r, z, option, etc. Someties after making a stroke with the brush tool, I'll go to undo with command+option+z and nothing will happen. Other keyboard shortcuts do the same thing—no response.
get my pen (Wacom Intuos 2) to work properly with dodge tool like the mouse? It is the dodge effect was made by mouse..It is by the pen (same brush size)
The brush becomes too small and has a hardness effect, not smooth at all. If I size up the brush real large it's still not right (like in lower corner) and it's hard to control because I hardly see the brush movement. Pressing the pen tip on the tablet pen/mouse mode didn't.
I own an excellent Bosto 19mb tablet, which is a cintiq clone (but much cheaper) which alas only works for pc. You can see it here: [URL] However, I'm a good mac/iOS developer so I've written an open source driver for it. Source is here: [URL]...
It works really swetly with all but 2 applications: Corel painter 12 and Photoshop Cs5.1
I'm downloading a trial of CS6 as I write this but I imagine it will have the same problem.I have the bosto tablet monitor and my wacom tablet both plugged into my system (driver conflicts don't exist on mac). I also pretty well understand all the HID events etc, needed to make the driver work. I'm generating identical events to my wacom tablet, which is why I can't for the life of me figure out why i have problems with photoshop.
The problems are as follows:Photoshop CS5.1Holding the pen down and drawing does not draw a line, it will draw a dot, or a straight line from thepoint where the pen touched the tablet, to an approximation (looks like a mean) of the end point,In photoshop, in the brush dynamic settings, I get the "pressure not supported" icon. When my wacom pen generates an "enter" proximity event [that is, when I put it near the wacom tablet], the triangle dissapears,When my bosto pen (for which I'm writing the driver) enters [that is, when I put it near the bosto screen], the triangle appears again.
These are my questions:How on earth does wacom get photoshop to treat it as a pressure sensitive device? Is photoshop listening to different events,or are there undocumented transactions going on which allow the wacom tablet to work, but cause my one to draw dots or straight lines?Where can i go to for support on this issue?
I just updated to GIMP 2.8, and my tablet -a digipro WP5540- does not work with GIMP unless it is in disabled mode under input devices. When "disabled", it works except with no pressure sensitivity. When "enabled", the tablet can be used to click on menu options and the brush will follow the tablet position at random intervals only when the cursor is not on the canvas.
I've been considering getting one of the Wacom Intuos4 or 5 small tablets to use while working in PS. From what I've read they really make editing and, just working in PS in general, much easier.
I just bought myself a new digital pen by e3Works. It is pressure sentitive, giving greater width in response to heavier pen pressure. I don't always want this feature. If I am trying to paint an accurate mask, I might want the width to be consistent, regardless of pressure. This pen does not have a software interface of it's own. Can I make such a change within Photoshop?
Ive been interested in purchasing a Tablet PC for some time. But one thing Ive always been concerned with is how feasible they were regarding serious art work.
Many Forums discussing Tablet PCs involve working with academic software. Im trying to gather information from strictly the art side of things.
My major questions would be
1. Stylus Pressure sensitivity: (how accurate is this?) Stylus response time: (any lag ?)
2: Hotkey assignments: When the table screen is flipped over to draw, how does one access all those much needed hotkeys?
I've recently bought Adobe Photoshop CS3, I previously had CS2. In CS2, when I connected by pen and tablet, Photoshop would automatically detect and ammend all my brushes so they're sensitive to touch, etc.
However, with CS3, this isn't the case. Photoshop doesn't do anything to the brushes, I've tried the shape dynamics but have failed so far.
I like to use the pen pressure option to get those interesting lines for art with the pen tool. I've been using like that for years. But today, my computer is telling me I can't use this option without a tablet. I'm very confused. Even a couple days ago I could select that option with no problem
How do you tether a tablet in the program, and does it really improve the accuracy of usising that app? What else can the tablet be utilized for in CS6?
I am on the creative cloud and have down loaded and successfully installed PS6. I am a professional illustrator and use the Wacom tablet. My concern is with the pen pressure effect not staying on. I have went to option on PS6 and checked for updates and down loaded them with no results and called support as well .
I went to the Wacom sit as well to check to if my drivers are updated and they are, and called their support as well with no results. I understand that PS6 is a new product and that I may have to wait for patches, that is fine.
I keep getting an annoying crash every few minutes when using my tablet with cs6. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. every few minutes in the middle of work I get a box popping up saying could not reference memory address click OK to close. I've tried making more memory available in preferences and also running the program as administrator but it still keeps happening. A friend of mine is also having the exact problem on his computer when using a tablet.
I have a chance to get a small Wacom tablet, its a older version ,screen size 4x5, It comes with all the software, Also has Elements 2.0 My question is,can I also use it with CS3?
I was just wondering, is wacom a good tablet for the price? I know nothing about graphic tablets and I am not by any means an artist, but is it a good tablet to start out on? I know it has 512 levels of pressure ( I hope I said that right) and 3048 LPI of resolution and that's about it.
I was using a wacom tablet in adobe cs3 just fine, now I get no tip sensitivity. As in, the pen will always draw a think line no matter how light I use the pen.
I have a fujitsu 3500 tablet pc, and am running photoshop 7.0. Problem is when I touch the pen to the screen it draws a line across the screen from last cursor location to the new one. I'm not able to make "dots" the program recognizes the new location and connects the previous loaction to the new one. But microsoft paint doesn't do this.... is there a setting in pshop and I can change to make it work more like miscroift paint?
I'm trying to set the pen i'm using to work with pressure. The brush strokes should become darker as i press harder. I've set the 'shape dynamics' and 'other dynamics' to pen pressure but it still doesn't work.
I recently bought photoshop. I am now looking into buying a graphics tablet/stylus b/c i heard it would be a very useful tool for this program. i was looking for feedback if anyone uses one, and their opinion. is this something that would be worth the money?
I am contemplating getting a pen and tablet. As I am merely learning at this point, I can't see paying a great deal for a tablet just yet. I have been seeing alot on the Wacom tablets as they seem to be the most prominant. However, I would like to have one that has a decent sized work area and the Wacom is around $300 for a roughly 6x8.
