Photoshop :: CS6 Extended 3D Functions Not Working?
Sep 24, 2013
This is a copy of the system info from CS6:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.2 20130522.r.24 2013/05/22:21:00:00) x64
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1
System architecture: AMD CPU Family:15, Model:1, Stepping:0 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3
[code]...
I have tried disabling the Catalyst A.I. and restaring PS. The video card is AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6620G. Nothing I do seems to work. I can see the 3D menu it's all grayed out and when in the 3D tab under layes, if I try to create a 3D object this is the message I get. "The 3D features require that "Use Graphics Process" is enabled in the Performace preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly.
Suddenly, Forward Warp, Bloat and all the rest stopped working. The only things that work are Freeze Mask strokes, Thaw Mask strokes and Zoom. Nothing was changed in settings except Brush size when this happened, which was: closed out of PS, re-opened the same image I had been working on... no response in Liquefy.. I then tried other BMPs, JPEGs and PSDs, all of which I had worked on before today with Liquefy. I also tried restarting the machine. Again, 99% sure no settings were changed except Brush size. Tools in the main interface are working normally.
I was working normally in a drawing (ACAD 2012, 32b) file when, without any apparent reason, I tried to delete something and it didn't work. The way I work is that I select first and then press the "delete" key.
Now, when I do this, absolutely nothing happens. The objects remain selected. While trying to figure out what was happening, I discovered further disruptions. For example, when I select and object and then right-click, instead of showing me the edit shortcut menu, it repeats the last command. I know what you are thinking, but I already verified the right-click customizations and it is correctly set to "shortcut menu" in the "edit mode".
Finally, when I double click on a text, it won't edit as expected; again, nothing happens. Ane yes, in "Options/Windows standard behaviour" the "Double click editing" options is selected.
All the above has it's way around: the "erase" command works, the "ddedit" text works, etc. But it slows me down horribly.
I have just upgraded from Map 2009 to 2012 4-bit and many of my lisp programs using map functions do not work. Is there an explanation for this and is there a new "catalog" of data extension function and such available somewhere?
I was working on a drawing file when my ribbon went haywire. My layer drop down seems frozen so it only shows the current layer and the hatch edit ribbon does not function properly.
The issue with the layer drop down is if I select a line, fill, etc. on any layer the layer drop down on the home ribbon does not change to show the layer that item is on and if I select multiple items on different layers which usually causes the drop down to go blank it still shows the current layer. The object color, line thickness and linetype all change on the properties tab to show the properties of the selected item so the entire home ribbon is not frozen. If I scroll through the layer drop down and select a layer to move the selected item to a new layer AutoCAD responds *Invalid selection* Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/All/Fence . . .
The hatch edit ribbon is completely useless. The angle and scale boxes are greyed out and if I select any of the buttons (Set Origin, change hatch pattern, etc.) AutoCAD again responds with *Invalid selection* . . .
The only CUI shown is the ACAD.CUIX and I have done a Reset and Restore, changed the workspace, restarted AutoCAD and restarted my computer. What am I missing?
I was using my photoshop cs6 extended for about two months and it was working good,no problems. Then i stopped using it for about 3 months and today when i decided to use it again-it's stopped working. When i press on Photoshop.exe-nothing happens.Nothing at all,no errors, just nothing and photoshop won't open. All other .exe programs works good.
I know Windows 7 is not officially supported, but that's the point of software testing - to find bugs.
OS: Windows 7 32bit, build 7057.
PS: CS4 Extended 32bit, ver. 11.0.1
GPU: disabled
Problem: Any operation from the "3D" menu results in Photoshop crashing. (Module was C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4Plug-ins3D EnginesPhotoshop3DEngine.8BI)
I cannot get the clone tool to work on my Photoshop CS5 Extended v 12.0 x 32, which is running on my work Lenovo laptop. I am using the tool correctly, it just no longer replaces any pixels with the clone stamp.
I try to generate an action applying a filter to every layer for files with dozens of layers. To move through layers, one supposedly can use "select next layer" menu item. However, "select next layer" does not exist in SELECT menu, and keyboard shortcut option-+/- (also tried option-alt-+/-, option-numkeypad-+/-) does not work. It moves through the blending options in the layers palette, but does not go to the next/previous layer.
How do I tell PS to move to the next layer without clicking on the specific layer? I.e., some sort of command that I can integrate into an action.
how to I make select next layer available again in PS CS5? There are no hidden menu items, so no "show all menu items" at bottom of menu.
I have PS CS6 Extended from the Creative Cloud and everything works great. However the draggable shadows in 3D do not show up at all.
If I render my image the shadows appear. but they do not show up as they do in what's new section of the photoshop page in [URL] Also If I turn on reflections, they show up just fine, but the shadows are still not there.
My computer is an HP with: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit Intel i7 2.8 GHz processor 8 GB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphics card with 1GB DDR3 dedicated memory
My computer has run Windows 7 ,Run Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended,I click "edit"-"Control of deformation",the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Stop Working. Why?
I installed the CS3 Master Collection that included Photoshop CS3 Extended. I've used Photoshop for going on a decade and I find the ALT+CTRL+I keyboard shortcut really handy to pop open the Image Size window.
Now, in this new version (done after a clean format, reinstall of my XP OS) the shortcut no longer works. I check and it still has ALT+CTRL+I listed next to Image Size in the drop down menu as the proper keys, but it does not work.
I tried resetting the preferences but to no avail. I have also recently tried creating custom Keyboard Shortcuts and applying the "Working with Text.
Running CS4 extended on Vista64, Corei7 quad @2.9 GHz, 8 Gig Ram and nVidia quadro FX 1700. I can not get layer styles to work in documents that originated in CS3 extended.

ALT+CTRL+C seems to work fine for selecting the canvas, as does all my other other shortcuts (IE: CTRL+N for new canvas, CTRL+A to select, etc).
It seems the ALT+CTRL+I is the only thing giving me an issue.
I recently updated to Photoshop CS6.1 (or 13.1) from the Creative Cloud and my shadows stopped working again. The draggable shadows in 3D do not show up at all. If I render my image the shadows appear.

I'm trying to create a timeline wherein the camera rotates in a circle around a 3d Object that is located at the origin of the Ground Plane. I click 3d Camera in the Timeline to create my beginning keyframe, I drag the time slider to the end of the timeline, and I Rotate the camera view around the Z (vertical central) axis of the ground plane. I have the caps lock on so that the ground plane stays perfectly level as I rotate.)
As I am rotating the 3d Camera, the entire scene appears to rotate around the Z axis at the origin of the ground plane, which is what I want the animation to look like, but this is not the scene that plays back. When I play back the scene by clicking the play button or dragging the time slider, it rotates off-axis around some other center of rotation, with my 3d object often rotating out of the scene.
Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.
I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.
I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.
So, what are my options?
Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?
I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.
I am losing functions in nearly every menu in photoshop. I have tried v.8 and v.10 with the same results... I have no access to nearly every effect menu, the select menu is almost as worthless and I can't do anything on it anymore. The only way to make the function useable is to open an old file that was made back when it was working. I tried reinstalling, after that didn't work it forced me to use a company version of CS3, which has the same problem.
Does anyone know what may be going on? I don't understand what file in my computer may be doing this... If anyone has had any similar problems, please post without hesitation. This is the second photoshop forum I tried, I hope photoshop team can help .
Here are two screenshots of what the effects menu looks like; sorry about the size, I have huge resolution and didn't think about reducing the image size:
I am running windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and I am mainly trying to fix Photoshop v.8, but fixing this one will evidently fix v.10 as well.
when I use the adjust curves function, I adjust the curves until they look good, then when I render it it changes slightly. Does any one know what causes this, or how to remedy it?
I'm looking for a way to collect often needed functions to a separate - let's say - "favorite" menu.
As I mostly do beauty retouching I need "highpass", "gaussian blur", "unsharpen", "Topaz adjust" or "PTlens" all the time, (which are 3rd party plug-ins). But every single time I have to go through the menus to call the specific function.
Is there maybe already a way to collect you favorite used functions in a personally customized menu?
I am having problems with using the rubber stamp tool while recording an action for a batch process. The rubber stamp is not being picked up by the action. Is there a way to record the toolbar functions within an action?
When I load Elements 10, from the home page it lets me hit organize, but when I hit "Edit" it does nothing. On the Edit drop down menu, I usually hit "edit with photoshop editor" and it takes me to the screen with all the tools, but now it does nothing. I can't get any of the tools to load.
I am running Photoshop CS5 Extended on a Mac OSX 10.7.3. I can not copy or align any files in Photoshop. This happens no matter what I do or how the file was created. I have tried everything and nothing seems to resolve the issues. It is not a locked layer, I have checked all my preferences and I am using all the default settings. I am at my witts end!
Basically what I have been doing is to use Fireworks but I now have to use Photoshop for a certain project.
I use PSE 10 with Camera Raw 6.6. It appears to be missing functions such as the paint brush and the ability to mask. I've tried downloading it again, but the additional functions did not reappear.
