I have just upgraded from Map 2009 to 2012 4-bit and many of my lisp programs using map functions do not work. Is there an explanation for this and is there a new "catalog" of data extension function and such available somewhere?
View 5 RepliesI was working normally in a drawing (ACAD 2012, 32b) file when, without any apparent reason, I tried to delete something and it didn't work. The way I work is that I select first and then press the "delete" key.
Now, when I do this, absolutely nothing happens. The objects remain selected. While trying to figure out what was happening, I discovered further disruptions. For example, when I select and object and then right-click, instead of showing me the edit shortcut menu, it repeats the last command. I know what you are thinking, but I already verified the right-click customizations and it is correctly set to "shortcut menu" in the "edit mode".
Finally, when I double click on a text, it won't edit as expected; again, nothing happens. Ane yes, in "Options/Windows standard behaviour" the "Double click editing" options is selected.
All the above has it's way around: the "erase" command works, the "ddedit" text works, etc. But it slows me down horribly.

I would like to protect lisp functions from ObjectARX. I am able to protect the functions from LISP command prompt as below.

add a line to the code you wrote so I could use iunembed or detach the old image in the begin of the lisp command. Iunembed command ask what to name tif after it is unembed. Is there a way to detach the old embed image and run the other parts of the command? Keep in mind I change the lisp little bit.

okay, I need a way to get a list of layout tabs without vl-, vla-, vlax, or LAYOUTLIST functions. Why? You ask?
This is for lisp funct that will run in AcCoreConsose. Apparently the console doesn't yet support these.
Also, need a way to check Effective name of dynamic blocks without vl-, vla- or vlax- funs also.
I was working on a drawing file when my ribbon went haywire. My layer drop down seems frozen so it only shows the current layer and the hatch edit ribbon does not function properly.
The issue with the layer drop down is if I select a line, fill, etc. on any layer the layer drop down on the home ribbon does not change to show the layer that item is on and if I select multiple items on different layers which usually causes the drop down to go blank it still shows the current layer. The object color, line thickness and linetype all change on the properties tab to show the properties of the selected item so the entire home ribbon is not frozen. If I scroll through the layer drop down and select a layer to move the selected item to a new layer AutoCAD responds *Invalid selection* Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/All/Fence . . .
The hatch edit ribbon is completely useless. The angle and scale boxes are greyed out and if I select any of the buttons (Set Origin, change hatch pattern, etc.) AutoCAD again responds with *Invalid selection* . . .
The only CUI shown is the ACAD.CUIX and I have done a Reset and Restore, changed the workspace, restarted AutoCAD and restarted my computer. What am I missing?

My snap to extension feature is not working, and I'm looking to see why. In my object snap menu the extension is selected, and aside from that I'm not sure what else it could be other than bugging out.
The extention line (green dashed) will usually (but not always) show up in the vertical direction but almost never in the horizontal axis.

I have tried disabling the Catalyst A.I. and restaring PS. The video card is AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6620G. Nothing I do seems to work. I can see the 3D menu it's all grayed out and when in the 3D tab under layes, if I try to create a 3D object this is the message I get. "The 3D features require that "Use Graphics Process" is enabled in the Performace preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly.
Having problem of polar tracking extension lines working in one direction, but not perpendicular to that orientation? For example, when drawing a simple rectangle after drawing (2) sides, If I go to snap to my initial starting point to show a vertical extension line to intersect with my third line I am drawing, the vertical extension will not show up, even though the horizontal extension line is visible, and even though it snaps to the my starting point to where I wish have the polar tracking show the vertical extension.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, Forward Warp, Bloat and all the rest stopped working. The only things that work are Freeze Mask strokes, Thaw Mask strokes and Zoom. Nothing was changed in settings except Brush size when this happened, which was: closed out of PS, re-opened the same image I had been working on... no response in Liquefy.. I then tried other BMPs, JPEGs and PSDs, all of which I had worked on before today with Liquefy. I also tried restarting the machine. Again, 99% sure no settings were changed except Brush size. Tools in the main interface are working normally.

I cancelled and entered Adobe Extension Manager CC and it simply hangs on launch. I can get out of it with a forced quit. The samples provided in the SDK detailed how to load /unload extension from a menu item from Illustrator, and how to add / remove EventListeners to make the magic happen.
to sum up, this is something like that:
1- click on the menu item
2- load extension
3- add listeners
4- do your stuff......
5- remove listeners
6- unload extension
Basically my plugin is a module/service which is in charge of dealing with / modifying artwork tree. It has no User Interface.
My extension will have a user of this service.
What I would like to do is to load my extension as soon as my plugin is loaded, and unload the extension when the plugin will be unloaded.
Or notify when extension is loaded or unloaded.
Is that possible and hw could I achieve that?
I woluld like to use visual lisp to get data from ms access.
I know how to connect to Excel, but is there a similar connection possible for access ?
my co-worker can not setup his drawing's data shortcuts. So, we tried to set the working folder. He has no real options for working folders. There is only one project folder showing for him. how to get all of the project folders to display in the set working folder dialogue so we can select the correct project, then select the correct data shortcuts. He is using C3D 2012 on a windows 7 64 bit machine. His folders have black arrows instead of plus signs. I've attached a picture. The Monterey Projects folder should display several hundred project sub folders and you can see we only have the one folder of 2916.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using Dropbox to collaborate with a remote office. The problem we ran into was that for some reason, data references don't work when a drawing is reopened. In other words, when I open a drawing, none of the objects I dref'd into the drawing showed up. In the Toolspace, the objects appear just fine (i.e. no broken reference indications). If I manually synchronize the object, then it shows up int he drawings. If I save and then reopen, the reference is gone again. I have seen some info about Projectwise and the problems with dref's when using that program

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to add custom data in dwf files. We currently create 3D models which get exported to dwf format so that we can share information with clients. Ideally, we'd like them to be able to click on any member and have the software provide additonal information about that part. Example, part number. It would be awesome if the client could then say double click that part and have the actual detailed part drawing open up.
The parts we are trying to reference are generated using a third party application, so they are not solids, but the information is easily accessible in LISP.
I am trying to write a lisp file that extracts the LAYER, Z, X, Y, TEXT HEIGHT, POINT NUMBER, from the attached DXF file. Ultimately I will have the lisp insert a "POINT" at the X,Y,Z, cords, and then a "TEXT" entity at the same coordinates with the text height value and the point number string. Both entities need to be on the layer ending in "-PN". The layer name will change depending on the date. I have a third party program that creates the DXF file.
The point of the lisp file is to insert the point numbers and points into my drawing at their correct locations. For the life of me I can not make this work. I have attached the little bit of lisp I have, which unfortunately does not work properly because of it searching for the "TEXT" entry in the DXF file of which there are three per point number. I only need one. I have also attached the DXF file I have. maybe just an overall procedure that I can then code myself? I'm just not good at getting lisp to read a file and extract what I want from it.

I would like to automate drawing process for certain data. Using some LISP codes User will be asked to provide some data and using that data an automatic drawing needed to be developed at Drawing editor of AutoCAD. For example;
Enter the width of Sheet: 50 mm
enter the length of Sheet: 200 mm
Enter the sheet thickness: 5mm
Enter type of feed: Automatic
Are there holes in Strip: Yes/No
Specify nu of holes: 5
Position of holes Centre: 5,5
Distance between the holes: At an interval of 20mm each
I just need a LISP code for such program.
