I am getting triple images on the work area from tool icons such as the crop tool, hands, etc. How do I get back to single image. I have reinstalled CS4 and windows 7 but have the same problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI searched through all the key short cuts, looked through the user guide and I'm at a loss where you can nudge a clip back and forth by single frames. I saw you can hold 'D" and SLIP the clips one frame at a time, but not move them outright.
So, since nudging is one of the absolute most basic requirements of any editor, I know it's in there. But alas, they hid it too well. here it might be?
Maybe hiding next to a trim mode I don't see where I can see how my slips and slides affect the area around the clip?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying edit photographs for website production and I am using an already made wesbite template. However, the images that are already on the template are not the same size as the photographs that I am wanting to put on it. The template image size listed is as follows: Pixel Dimensions are W939xH373; Document Size W13.042xH5.181; Resolution is 72. The photos that I want to use are normal size from the camera. My question is this: Is there a way to convert the size of the image into what is needed without the photo being distorted and look elongated? I am using Photoshop CS3.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI found out how to do this recently so I decided that I wanted to make a tut for those who don't know how to make an icon image. This icon image is for the libraries tab on your computer. Under the libraries tab there is Music, Pictures, Documents, and PhotosÂ

First you will need the ICO (Icon image format) Format extension for Photoshop which can be downloaded here: Â

The download link and tutorial on how to install it is all in the link above. Once you have that all set you can now launch Photoshop to create your icon image. Once you have launched it, create a new document with the size as in the image below. Â

Create the image you want. I used a simple one by using the custom shape tool by pressing "U" on your keyboard and with the basic blending options.Â

The reason why the image is pixelated is because it is an icon image. Since the image is only 256x256 pixels when you zoom in on it that will get you the pixely result. The reason why I zoomed in is so you can see it. But don't worry this is no the end result. Just continue reading and you will see. Â

So once you have created the icon go ahead and press
file>save as>(under format choose the ICO)>and choose the name that you want to name it. And save it in your C: drive. You will see why to save it in your C: drive in a sec.Â

So now that you have created the icon and saved it now you can create the new library.Â

Name the library whatever you want I named it "Sample" for tutorial purposes. Notice how it gives you a default boring icon image for your library.Â

So now once you have created and named your library now it is time to get the icon image into place. Go to computer/c: Drive/users/YOU/ And now once you have reached this area you will need to access a hidden folder named "appdata" to do so press "Alt" then a menu bar will show. Click tools>folder options>and view. Find the option to view hidden folders then press apply then ok. Now we shall continue so AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>Windows>Libraries Â

Now you should see all the libraries including the one you just created.Â

Once you have reached your destination then open a new text document with notepad and drag the library you just created in notepad. The result should look like this:Â

This has been occuring since installing 2013 and it's not just on my computer, our other drafter has the same issue. Â Once it happens on one drawing it effects all open drawings and the only thing I have been able to do to get rid of it is to close out all drawings and restart AutoCAD. Â Attached is a screen shot since its' hard to describe.

That way I can specify any color I want in the background and it will filter through!
how I could extract the different alpha transparency information to make the result similar to the pic shown above.I know it's possible as I've followed some tuts but the result isn't exactly the same.
I have been using Photoshop CS2 for many years and have constantly "lived with" a bug in Bridge whereby, instead of an image thumbnail, there is just an icon shown.
This is the same icon that appears before Bridge has read all the images to produce the thumbnails - but some of them get "stuck" and there seems to be no way to make Bridge "read" the image and produce the thumbnail. Pressing "View" "Refresh" (or PF5) does not work. Is there any fix I can download for this?
I'm writing because after reinstall the Mountain Lion (10.8.4), I realized that dragging an image from Chrome (29.0. 1547. 62) to the dock icon Photoshop CS6 the icon is not active and therefore the program does not open with the image, I tried with firefox (23.0.1) and the dock icon photoshop is animated and open photoshop but show the following message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." I tried with SAFARI and all fine, without problems. I note that before reinstallation and after doing a clean install (I do a back up, I formated the hard drive and install the mountain lion) this option worked perfect.

I check the following path ~ / Library / Caches / TemporaryItems that is where store the pictures as you take the browser and when stored in the folder but never open photoshop, I want to emphasize that opening photoshop and open a blank canvas, I can drag and drop (drag and drop) and the image appears, but with the dock icon anymore.

I have many theories but also not solve:
Â
1. It's a permissions problem.
2. Any option is not enabled (OS X or photoshop) or not installed
3. Some kind of incompatibility, but again and worked without problems.
Going back to look for photos in LR is very tedious due to this error. I fully expect this error to occur multiple times while locating a past photo. I have to do it in steps by closing LR often, and reopening it so I don't have to start at the beginning of the search when this error occurs. LR does not write a current position to disk until closed (it should write current), which means it forgets where I was after this error. Â

My photos are in directories by year/date. Expanding a year to find a photo is like fully expecting this error to occur. My preferred import arrangement is year/date (to minimize the length of any one physical file list based in the way I shoot). I don't know if it's the arrangement, but this errors a LOT. I am on V4.4, and this error has been occurring for as long as I can remember. The product testers are obviously not running into this error since it isn't getting fixed. I don't think they test the left pane very well for the various directory schemes that a user can come up with.

My catalog previews were recently rebuilt. The catalog is around 5gb and contains all my photos. I am using SSDs for the LR user files, catalog, raw cache, and previews. Only the actual photos are on spinners.
When I loaded some photo actions into my new PSE11 it show only a generic icon in the effects palette, not the icon from the maker so it takes extra time to search for the action I need. How can I get the icon from the maker to show as the icon in the palette?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a dodgy Google Earth screenshot that I've chucked into CAD to scale it (approximately) and more importantly align it to the correct coordinate system as per the survey. However, I need to use that image in another modelling program (which only accepts image files).
Question is - is it possible to export just an image from Autocad back to an image file? I obviously don't want to plot the entire drawing to PDF/BMP or anything, simply extract the image that I have resized. Or any other way of getting an image from Google Maps or the like and scaling it correctly?

so i recently restored my computer back to factory settings .. so my computer doesnt even have any new downloaded app .. i download photoshop cs6 now im getting scratch disk errors ..which i dont see possible if my computer doesnt have anything on it (besides what it came with) my hard drive has 276 gb i only used 33 . i made an external hard drive and that has 8 gb ... also its moving very slow .. also its telling me i cant make an new canvas size 1920 x 1020 with an resloution of 300 .. im using windows 7 Toshiba

I'm desiging a banner for a website and a big concern of mine is that the sidebar should fade into the black default background of the website.
It's a single layer, the image is 32 x 346 pixels and I'd like to know how to blend the bottom quarter or so of the multicolor sidebar to the default black.

Recently when I upload photographs in Photoshop Elements 8, the images in the catalogue appear as an hourglass when viewed as multiple images, but when I zoom in to a single catalogue image the picture appears. Previous images in the cataloge appear as normal.
