I would like to adjust old photo made on bromportrait photo paper. Is it possible remove texture of bromportrait photo paper? If yes, how it to do?

if I have a portrait photo and want to change it to a landscape photo. I used resize to change the the dimensions of the photo but the results make the photo a bit distored.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out a way to automatically crop a photo to say 4x6 INDEPENDENT of whether it is landscape or portrait while running a batch script. This is after I have done all my editing on the file (the first thing being that I turn the portraits the correct way).
I can sort (using windows) the file size and that tells me which are portraits and which are landscapes. I then create two directories, move the files to the appropriate directory and then run the crop script (making sure the horizontal and vertical crop dimensions are set correctly). This is a pain and wanted to see if there is some way to automate it without having to parse the files into two directories to start.
I have a landscape photo and I want to change the orientation to portrait photo. I want to save that file to order a enlargement, to put it on my portrait frame. How I do that? I know you can do it for printing, but I want to save the photo as a portrait. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.

I've played with brightness/hues/levels and I just can't figure out how to make these turn out decent.
They are dramatically reduced in size.
What is the best way to take the background out of a photo or a portrait and keep the photo? Also would like to be able to keep the edge nice so when am laser engraving it will look nice, and will be able to engrave well.

I also have problems when trying to SOFT PROOF these profiles in PSPX4: what I get is an unusable image covered with a deep fog, an image that is far from what is printed. And I know these printer profiles are good because they work correctly in Photoshop Elements 10.

Trying to get an 8x10 print from a digital camera photo on a letter size paper. Reguardless of what we do, the print job only comes up to 8x6.5. How do we get an 8x10???

I see PhotoShop can resize the canvas using a "relative" percentage and I am wondering if it's possible to do in PhotoPaint using a script or macro, as I don't see resizing as a percentage as an option.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt happens to me about 50 % of all time when I'm using the Paper Size dialog to crop an image:
No matter which alignment I select in the Placement drop-down box, PhotoPAINT uses the opposite direction.
This doesn't always happen, but it happens about every second time I use that dialog (and I use it often). It seems the error occurs randomly, probably not initializing some internal program memory location correctly.

I thought that I would take a shot at a possible reason why cropping with the paper size dialog would give different results which appear to be random.
1. The dialog opens with the programmer assuming the user will make the paper size larger than the image. He takes the difference between the paper size’s lower right corner and the image’s lower right corner and subtracts the two. That’s a positive number since the paper size is larger than the image. It’s added to all pixel positions in the image which brings the image to the lower right corner of the paper.
2. Now consider what will happen if the paper size is smaller than the image.
Scenario 1: The user picks paper size before position. The difference between the lower right corners is now a negative number. Using negative numbers to reorder the image pixels will incorrectly display the upper right corner of the image in the canvas.
Scenario 2. The user picks position before paper size. The lower right corners of the image and paper are set equal. Reducing the paper size now leaves the lower right corner of the image to be displayed.
Thus the display of the corner of the image appears to be random. However, it’s following the orders given by the user. Without doubt, there are other possible scenarios for this behavior.
I've been printing out a lot of black and white photos on photopaper on a HP Photosmart 7510e.
The printouts are very dark so I've had to boost the brightness levelsin GIMP prior to printing. The problem is that this takes extra timeand I also don't want to save these levels in the XCF file. I would say that (going by the Gamma Display Filter) the printouts are around40% of the brightness they ought to be.

However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.
