1. in the existing ipt dwg the dimensions were lost, when I update the dwg;
2. in the iam that contains the mirrored component the constraints were lost, when I update the dwg.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Editing A Component In Assembly
Mar 29, 2012I'm working on an iLogic application for an assembly. I need some code to edit a particular component occurrence and then open one of that component's iLogic forms.
Basically automating the keystrokes that I'm doing manually (Select, right-click and edit, then open the iLogic form for that part). Do I have to scroll through all occurrences in the browser or is there a way to call that component by name?
AutoCAD Architecture :: Adding Component Detail
Feb 21, 2011I just started using version 2010 (I was using 2009 way past the 2010 release). Whenever I go to insert a detail component such as a 3/4" bolt it fails. On the command line I see the name of the detail to be inserted but immediately after is *Cancel*.
I have to shut down Architecture and restart it before it will let me insert the component -- and then only once. If I want to insert other components I have to shut down and restart every time.
Photoshop :: Editing Existing Mask With Pen Tool In CS6
May 9, 2013Here's my question re: editing an exisiting mask in CS6.
So, say I create the basic selection with the quick selection wand - for this example, maybe a selection of a horse.
But, if I don't get the area between the horses legs and want to select that area with the pen tool then delete it from the exisitng mask (i.e. clean up the mask with the pen tool) how do I do it?
I've seen lots of tutorials that talk about adding selections together, but that doesn't work in this case because my secondary selection is within the original selection.
I know this can be done with the brush tool (cleaning up masks) but I'd like to do it with the pen tool because the results are better.

Dec 20, 2012I have a set of styles created in 2010, the company I currently work for needs to have new styles added and I would like to use some of the styles I created to make my life a bit simpler in this process. I have created an Overall.dwt file using the current styles the company i work for has and I have imported my styles into this dwt. As im renaming these styles for my new company I noticed under the general tab for text style and block style I have text and block styles with my old companies name but i cant seem to find where the blocks or text style is being pulled from so i can edit it with a new name. So my question is where are these styles being saved so i can edit them

When I convert older menus (mnu) into 2012 the tool bars all have question marks on them, and my custom toolbars are not listed. I cannot go into CUI customization and click on a button to edit it's command and or icon. The older version of cad is not on my new system so I cannot use the migration tool.

First I select all the photos by clicking shift and the 1st photo, then I select the last photo. All photos I want to add are highlighted. But I can't drag all the photos at once. When I try to drag, the 1st photo is only selected. What is are the correct click, drag and drop key strokes to get it right? Dragging and dropping one photo at the time is just not feasible.

Dec 28, 2012I have several hours of video aerials shot with a JVC GY-HM750U camera. The camera creates a .MOV video file. Great looking stuff but I have some lens dirt showing up in everything. I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 because I saw a tutorial demonstrating how to use smart layers and the dust and scratches filter to get rid of the problem. Still working on the best settings for the filter to best take care of the problem.
But when I exported a test clip in an H.264 or QuickTime format, both rendered files only played part way through then the image froze but the progress bar in the player kept moving. The image changed abruptly to somewhere down the clip and then ended. I also edit all other video in FCP6. When I import the .MOV file into FCP it behaves the same.

Sep 6, 2012I am trying to make some first steps with the video editing in Photoshop cs6 but I cant make past stage one....getting a file to open properly.
I shot some video on my Panasonic gf1. Its a .mov file. When I look at it in bridge, or open it in PS cs6 it only gives sounds but no image. I have updated Photoshop today.
So I guess I have some settings wrong. Maybe I had wrong settings in my camera. What to do? I can watch the video's with windows media player.

Jan 4, 2009I have an existing alignment issued to me which has been created using all straight lines even where there should be curves. I am trying to insert curves in these areas. Using free curves (2 entities and a through point) I create a curve then somethings happen I can't work out -
1. The curve is created but the original straight linework stays. I would have thought the original linework would automatically delete. See attached pdf between points 60 and 62 the curve and straights can be seen.
2. Then all stations after the curve are changed to the question mark symbol. If i click on the alignment all the grips are still there for the full length of the alignment, indicating the alignment is still in one piece.
3. If I try to create another curve further along the alignment it won't allow it. Stating on the command line "Selected entity must be part of the main entity."
I'm using C3D 2009.

Jan 7, 2010how to add more fields to the dbf file of a shp (using AutoCAD Map 2010), other than calculation fields? I am often working on a shp and get asked to add more fileds to hold more data but cannot find a way to do in in AutoCAD (have to resort back to Arcview: but then that causes issues when I go back to the original CAD file that has the data connected to it).
