View 6 RepliesThe file in question has rendered perfectly before but client requested a small change just before publication, so we have made the change but when rendering, Photoshop crashes.
I have tried the file on both my 27" iMac i5 with 24gbb ram, and my Macbook Pro Retina i7 with 16gb ram. The only fix I have found is to duplicate all layers to an ALREADY OPEN new file, save as a new name, quit PS then re-open the new file and render.
Here's the original file (53MB download):

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with a new install of photoshop elements 10. It turns out this I now have this problem with elements 9 as well. I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.
Here is the error I get. After launching the editor, either from the welcome screen or directly from
C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements 10PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
I get the following pop up. As you can see the editor does start, but shortly after it starts I get the popup.
I am running on Windows 7 (Pro) 64bit. My video cards are an AMD Radeon HD 6770 and an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 with a driver version of 8.920.0, dated 11/9/2011
Here are the error messages from the event viewer
Launch of elements 10 editor:

As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
CS 6 Photoshop stopped working on my MacBook Pro under Lion. After installing Mountain Lion over Lion it still crashes every time. All other CS 6 apps run fine.I have all latest updates from Adobe and AppleHere is an extract from the dump:

I cannot start printing through neither CTRL+P, nor the context menu nor the menu. Organizer always crashes. This was not the case with PSE 10 and using the same printer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed the 12.1 update of After Effects, and now I can't open the program. When I try to start up AE, I get the error message:
After Effects warning: Could not rename the file '/Users/USERNAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/12.1/Workspaces. 773.1407350999826081.xml' to 'workspaces.xml'.
I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling AE. Same problem.
I'm facing an issue when I start up the AUTOCAD 2013 on Windows.
I clicked on Autocad icon, and a message is prompted saying "Unknown Property" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside it, and the software do not start up.
The highlights: Yesterday the software was working normaly when happened a black out. I started the computer again and keep working without any issue. Today when I would keep working on the project I couldn't start up the Autocad.
After installing autocad 2011 on one of our users workstation. we try to launch it and it crashes will opening.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was already having this problem with Max2012 and now it seems to be persisting in Max2013. I am basically getting regluar random crashes. There seems to be no one specific cause, I can be poly-editing, unwrapping even just renaming objects.
However the most common regular cause is simply clicking on the Max start icon on the top left of the screen, to open, save, import or whatever. When this happens as soon as I click on the icon Max closes, doesn't try to save the file and gives no error message. It seems to be more susceptible to doing this after Max has been idling for a while or the PC has been woken from sleep, but not ALWAYS.
My PC is relatively new, graphics cards are updated, motherboard etc. The only thing I haven't updated is the bios.Max SPs' also installed.
As some know, it comes on the installation CD of PSPX3.
Quite simply, three seconds after double clicking the program icon, I get this. I'm on the second installation. Patches won't install. I get the message " product that needs to be updated not found" or something similar.
I installed a new harddrive on my laptop and restored a Ghost image of my old drive onto the new one. Most of the installed software worked right off. Some needed to be re-activated as the software detected a significant hardware change. However, PSP X3 would not start, crashing during loading. The PSP X. splash shows and the loading status gets to "initializing palettes" then Windows reports "Corel Paintshop Pro X3 has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution...". That's it.
I have un-installed PSP X3 and reloaded from CD. I downloaded the 4 existing patches (1 through 4) and installed them in sequence. I didn't try starting PSP X3 until all the patches were in. Corel.com confirms the activation of the software.
I've used PaintShop since the JASC days and the software works great. However, since about version 9, the software has become more prone to crashing under a variety of circumstances. Now it won't start.

I'm having a constant problem with Autocad 2010LT crashing on startup. After clicking on the AutocadLT 2010 icon the program starts to run, I see the start-up screen, and then everything disappears without any notice or error message.
I have installed service Updates 1 and 2 as well as the "Startup Error and Text Editing Hotfix". Nothing that I have read on the forums seems to fix the problem. I'm running Windows 7 Professional (64-bit). I should also mention that I have been running this version of the software on this computer without any issues for over 1 year before encoutering this problem.
Every time I press the start button (the nice big R) Revit crashes like this: URL>...It takes about 30 seconds before I can go further.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed 3DS Max 2012 with a student license, but I encountered a problem that doesn't seem to go away. Whenever I open it, it gets to the "Starting 3DS Max 2012" screen and then freezes. The process freezes as well. Is there a way I can fix this? After running perfectly for months my CS5 will now not start from either the icons or the applications folder. I've done the following;
1. Uninstalled it.
2. Deleted all the relevant folders.
3. Run the clean up utility.
4. Rebooted the computer.
5, Reinstalled CS5.
6. Run the updater.
7. Restarted the computer.
Everything else (Bridge, RAW etc) works fine, and if I open the CS5 package and run the unix executable it fires up. The terminal window does say "No javatime present, requesting insatll", but I have the latest Java running on my machine. I'm running OSX on a 2012 imac i7. All software and drivers are upto date.
I get the message Photoshop.exe - System Error "The program can't start because QtCore4.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I've tried reinstalling Photoshop CS6 but the problem remains, together with the message.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed Photoshop CC, along with other CC software on Mac OS X 10.8.5. All the other software is working great, but Photoshop refuses to start and give me an error that says that the program will not initialize due to a program error (translated from the french message: "impossible d'initialiser photoshop en raison d'une erreur du programme")
I uninstalled Photoshop, remove an old after effect CS3 that was left (to be sure) and reinstalled Photoshop, but still the same message.I never installed Photoshop on this computer before, so I didn't do something wrong with its preferences.
I am running XP Pro with SP3 and all current patches. My dvd drive is a Plextor PX-760A. At first neither the CS4 application dvd nor the Learning dvd would start in my drive.
Then I flashed the drive firmware from 1.04 to 1.07.
This drive uses the windows drivers. Plextor does not supply drivers.
After flashing the firmware the CS4 Learning dvd starts fine. I also found my CS3 dvd and it also starts fine.
However, the CS4 application dvd will not spin up. The drive makes 2 faint beeps, tries to spin up the disk a few times and then gives up.
Any suggestions on what I might try before calling Adobe and asking for a replacement disk?
I dont know if this is related to my problem... but i installed about 1,500 fonts yesterday. And today i tried opening PS7 and i am getting the attached error. It displayes the splash screen and when it is done it displays the error. I tried using the direct file link, making a new image, opening an exsisting image. All does the same thing. Once i click okay it bombs out. Any ideas?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been running CS3 for quite awhile now, but was recently switched to a new domain on my network.
Photoshop CS3 will not open any documents now and instead gives me the error:
The application has failed to start because VersionCue.dll was not found.
VersionCue CS2 is running, which is bizzare because I've got the full CS3 suite.
I entered the serial, I got the green checkmark, clicked OK, then PS just randomly closes.
I try to open PS again, and some license agreement comes up, I click Accept, and that window closes, followed by PS NOT starting up. I even got the latest updates and all that. I've been google searching this crap for an hour.
