Paint Shop Pro :: Color - Images Too Blue?
Aug 1, 2011I have a problem with the display of images that come out too blue. The thumbnail looks correct but the large preview image has too much blue. I have processed the same raw images in other software with no issues but this seems to be an issue with Paint Shop Pro. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?
Once I open the image the image in the raw converter it shows the color balance "As Shot" as a different value that what the Adobe software reads. Not sure why. You can try and adjust the blueness out of the image but why do I need to do this all the time when I don't have to in other programs.
If I open any image in the full editor the thumbnail takes on this too blue look as well, even if no color adjustments were made.
I have attached 2 screen shots that show the problem.
Paint Shop Pro :: Blue Sky Backgrounds Seems To Be In Lines
May 2, 2012I've taken several shots of buildings with a Canon EOS (each photo 4mg / JPG) with very dark blue sky backgrounds. There are no clouds in the sky. I need to resize each photo down to approx 350kb for the Internet. I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. I've run various process's like smart photo fix, sharpen, then improved the saturation and then re sized at 75% "weighted average". When I view the photo on the Internet the blue sky seems to be in lines. How I can stop this and get an even blue colour.

Nov 22, 2013All of my images are now importing into Lightroom3 and Photoshop CS5 with a blue cast. I have reformatted the SD card, tried with other SD cards, re-calibrated my monitor with X-Rite colorometer, changed monitors, tried with another camera, changed card readers. The images appear as shot in Bridge, but when opened they come in with the blue cast. The same images import properly on my laptop. I'm shooting sRGB in camera and have tried a number of different shots, so artificail lighting is not the issue. All images that are already on my hard drive import properly. I was working in LR when this occurred, so, I think I must have inadvertently mades some alteration to the settings while working in LR. However, opening PS separately and bringing an image in independent of Lightroom has the same result. Images appear as shot in Adobe Bridge, then open with the blue cast.

Feb 1, 2011If I have an image that has plenty of a certain hex colour A in it, and I want to change all pixels of that colour to another hex colour B, how do I do that?
I want it to intelligently convert pixels of other colours, i.e. a colour that is half-grey half-A becomes half-grey half-B, a pixel that is transparentesque A becomes transparentesque B, and so on.
How do I do this on paint.net or possibly with any online tool available.

Aug 12, 2012I just received the disc with all my wedding photos and so many of them are ruined by either a rainbow glare or a blue glare. I am so disappointed in how the pictures came out and have spent the last half of today trying everything to fix them.
Is it possible to fix a rainbow or blue glare.

Dec 24, 2011Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

May 21, 2012I wrote my signature on piece of paper, then scanned it in, removed the white background, leaving just the signature in blue ink on a transparent background and saved it as a .gif. HOWEVER, I need to make the signature darker blue. I've used clipping masks in the past, but cannot figure how to do this in Paint.net.
I made duplicate copy of the original .gif, then created a layer and filled it with a darker blue. What do I do from here so that when I put the layers together the signature is darker, but the background is still translucent?

Mar 22, 2011After making a cutout in the cutout-lab/preview/ok, returning to the main workspace area, there remain, unlike in the instruction DVD, 2 blue dotted lines around the object: one from the rectangular box and one showing the cutout outline. As a result I can't make a clip mask from the object transparency box.
Has it to do with settings not mentioned in the dvd? The 'remove mask button' is inactive. I just picked some bitmaps from the internet and tried to make them into one.

May 15, 2012I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
