Specially, I interested in Autolevel adjust.

Paint.NET :: Adjust Aggressive Of Smoothing Quality
Apr 25, 2013I know this has to do with Anti-alias but as far as I can see , Paint.net only has this option as On or Off.
I would like to be able to adjust the aggressive of smoothing quality. This would allow me to draw very smooth curve with minimal effort using a mouse.
Gimp 2 has this option Smooth stroke I really like it but too bad, gimp 2 is slow to load and is not as lean as Paint.net. I suppose it should be something like a setting, not an effect that applies after the curves have been drawn.
Here is to demonstrate the effect : It is smoother, I drew it by a mouse

Dec 8, 2012is it posible to get high quality image from low reolution image 100x100 ? i try using 2 software. paint.net and adobe photoshop cs6. here is the original image (115x140 px)

Why is it that printed copies at 15 x 10 centimetres using the File>Print facility directly in Paint.NET are far superior to those using Image>Resize before printing (without saving the resized image)? Is there any means by which I can intervene to resize the image myself without losing the original quality?

Apr 8, 2011I have an 8 X 11 image that needs to be shrunk down to about 1" X 1" (it's being put on a poker chip). It's obviously not working.
I know the lines have to be thicker and/or darker so when they're shrunk they don't disappear.

May 16, 2013I'm trying to assemble a figure for a publication in a journal. one of the images has been created by the person who generated the data using MS paint.the files he has sent so far have not had resolution above 96 dpi, saved as a png. I need better res files to send to the publisher, I'm hoping we can save it out such that it will be 600dpi?
I'm laying out the final figure in photoshop, and have created a high resolution document in which to import this image from paint with some other images. however, when i check the res on the files that he's given me so far, it's screen res.

Dec 20, 2011I am trying to equating images in the best way in a PSPIMAGE Project. My base image (background) has a dimension of 640 x 480.
I inserted two pictures. By original configuration, picture A (200 x 266) is bigger than picture B (145 x 189).
- If I increase size of picture B (to achieve same size of picture A), this picture will loss quality. Isn't it (I'm not completely sure)?
- So, maybe could be best decrease size of picture A (to achieve same size of picture B). But it will "harm" my main "composition" of dimension 640 x 480.
It seems to be simple but I don't know what to do or by where to begin...

Jun 23, 2012My problem is related with the quality of a image.
My question is how to maintain high quality (original quality) of a image after resizing it?
If i resize it with same ratio like:
2816x2112px to 1600x1200px (4:3)
2816x1584px to 1920x1080px (16:9)
Mainly i use scale image option in Gimp. But now i need to resize many images for my work so i tried David's Batch Processor to resize my images. After using it, i found there is some quality promble with the resized image.
Then i tried, the scale option with, use quality setting from original image and JPEG quality parameter is 95, in gimp but the problem is same. I did it with also with David's batch processor- JPEG quality parameter is 95.
Other thing is that, the original image 2816x2112px (4:3), size- 3.6 MB is displaying in image viewer with 47% and the resized image 1600x1200px (4:3). size- 1.2 MB is displaying in image viewer with 83%, So my questions are: How can i check the quality of a image after resizing it, means the image is exactly same as the original? Or Is David's Batch Processor maintain the original quality of the images after resizing?. I realy need to resize many images for my work.

Jan 5, 2011I don't know why Corel made this program without the ability to change the playback speed in project view. You can only change the speed on each clip. When you have 50 or more clips, this can take all day, when it could take a few seconds if you can do it in project mode.

Oct 30, 2012I have imported 5 clips into Videostudio Pro X4, all taken concurrently with the same camera/settings etc. If I play back a single clip, the quality is as I would expect it to be. If I switch to playing back project rather than clip, there is a noticeable drop in quality.

Dec 8, 2012Im trying to create a logo similar to the Harley Logo for a friend's wedding. Their last name begins and ends with "S" and Im trying to replicate the "S" in the Harley Logo.
If I copy and paste the Harley "S" on the right side of "Cycles".. it's a no brainer. If I copy and paste the "s" in Cycles and try to move it to the left for the first letter in their last name.. I can't seem to bend it the right way so the bottom of the S follows the curvature of the shield like the other one..

May 17, 2012I'm working now on a project with canvas size A4 (5600x4200).i'm working with large objects and small objects each in its own layer.i wanted to align few object in a certain way and i wanted to use the grid for this.however the grid is so small and can only be seen using 66% and more zoom in. which makes it impossible to align the object since i can't see all of them together.
is there any way to adjust the grid to be in proportion to the correct zoom or not window ? as a workaround i found is the grid plugin , but with it i must recreate the grid for each zoom size and its hard to work like this. having the grid adjusted automatically or at least allow max/min setting for it so it can be seen in an A4 size canvas.

3. Begin tweaking the square's properties--stroke width and color, fill, pattern, etc.

Dec 28, 2011I don't know if it is obvious but I couldn't see this shortcut in the Paintshop X4 User Guide. So, I am sharing:
By pressing "shift + a" will make "manage/adjust/edit" tabs disappear. To show the tabs, it is just necessary to press "shift + a" again. It will give more workspace. This feature just works when you are in "edit" tab. In the other tabs none happens.

The images I usually resize have approximately 900 x 900 pixels and they are basically text print screens. I resize them to 80%.

Feb 5, 2013I purchased PSP 5 and uninstalled PSP 4. After installation, I am unable to see any image previews in manage, adjust or edit mode. I have installed the service pack updates with no change in this absent function. Neither the main window nor the organizer palette will display any jpg image previews. I CAN go manually to a specific file and open the image and edit it at will, but I cannot see any previews of any images in the main or organizer palette. how to get the program to display image previews. I never had this problem before in any of the previous PSP versions. I have also uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the program to no avail.
