May 20, 2011What's with all the annoying popups on this forum page. Every time my cursor hovers over a link, some unrelated annoying pop-up blocks the view.

Illustrator :: Randomly Selects Unrelated Objects
Feb 5, 2013About once a day, when I click on an object with the direct selection tool, the bounding box will be way larger than it should, implying another object on another artboard is included in the selection.
This happens when the object I am selecting is NOT grouped with anything else. Moreover, is seems buggy because the mystery object doesnt have its "edges" visible the way it would if it were legitimately selected.
I can deselect all, but then anything I click on, the selection's bounding box is expanded to include the mystery object. The only way I have found to deal with it is to drag a corner of the bounding box, then undo, and then click off again. Then Voila! I am able to select my object (or any other) without the mystery selection happening.
I use clipping masks a lot, as well as many artboards, and have wondered if it's related to this, as the mystery objects are sometimes masked images, and often on another artboard. However, the mystery objects are not always masked.
I had it with CS5, and hoped it would go away with CS6, but it has not.

I over and over again do the same - by mistake scrolling horizontally instead vertically..

Jun 24, 2012I'm just guns blazing in Photoshop CS6 and enjoying every feature of it, but I have this on issue that I think Adobe has overlooked.
In previous Photoshop when you create a shape and open the "Blending Options" window your shape would look like this (if you have the "shape" deselected in the layers palette.

But now in Photoshop CS6 I don't have the option to do so, I'm stuck with this shape bounding border, and it's a real pain when doing website mockups or other things for that matter.

As you can see above if I wanted to add a 1 pixel inner shadow to work as a highlight, I can't see a proper preview of it. Unless I hit ok and deselect the shape.
Photoshop :: Disable Hand Toss In CS4 & Annoying...
Oct 26, 2008Is there a way to disable the ever so annoying hand toss feature (that makes the canvas glide as you pan it)? Actually refering to it as a feature kind of makes me cringe as there's no practical benefit of it what so ever.
I also find the movement of the new GPU-accelerated marquee zoom kind of jerky. Instead of moving straight in, it seems to use some kind of compound movement that feels rather unsmooth. Am I the only one annoyed by this behaviour?

Jul 30, 2013I'm a document controller that is trying to ID the situation with 2600 drawings. Some files are so large - 250,000kb, they won't open. They have bound xref's in them. We want to ask the contractor to unbind them and attach them as normal xref's. I need to view if a drawing has bound xref's. I just want to see them as BLOCKS which I now understand they are. How do I do view the blocks that were once xref's?

Feb 24, 2011I have a Room Tag (multi-view block) that was created in a previous release of AutoCAD Architecture that is not coming in at the correct scale in AutoCAD Architecture 2011. When we used to insert this block into an 1/8"=1'-0" drawing, it came in at a scale of 12.0,12.0,12.0. Now when we insert it into a 1/8"=1'-0" drawing, it comes in at 9.0,9.0,9.0. So, at 1/4"=1'-0" it comes in at 4.5,4.5,4.5; when it should be 6.0,6.0,6.0. I have many custom blocks that we have created for door tags, section refs, etc. and would just like to know what scale factor needs to be adjusted to fix this small issue.

Using the multiview blocks toolpalette I have dragged and dropped some blocks into model space and ensured they are at the correct elevation to sit on the surface...
I have noticed that only one of the multi view blocks within the landscape tab is showing as I would expect - the rest all look like an extruded cross... I don't know how to fix this or whether this is correct.

Paint Shop Pro :: 4 - Not Able To View Previews?
Jan 21, 2012Whenever I'm applying an effect or processing HDR, my previews are just black pictures. I know I'm not on a top of the line graphics computer (will probably be buying a new computer next month) could it be the computer cannot handle the pictures? If I choose to select a picture (even though it's black) from the HDR selections, it processes a finished photo but it would be nice to see all the selections and be able to apply changes and see the effects without having to process it each time.

Jul 4, 2011As you can imagine, I've just upgraded to X3. I just saved a .tiff image as a pspimage, without any editing. When I close it and go to re-open it, I can open it in X1 and in X3, BUT NOT IN Paint Shop Pro 9, which is and probably will remain my workhorse. The browser in PSP 9 doesn't even show the pspimage, only the .tif image. I've tried to open it in PSP 9 via Windows Explorer, but get one of two error messages: "This is not a valid pspimage" or "no preview available". Monkeying around with the File Associations in PSP 9 doesn't seem to work.
The problem arises if I want to do the bulk of my editing/restoration in PSP 9 and then bring it up in X3 in order to use one of the newer tools, such as the Makeover tool. Once I do that, I've lost the ability to re-open it in PSP 9.
Is there a way that you know of to make an X3 pspimage available in PSP 9, or is it inherantly not possible?
Paint.NET :: How To Get Thumbnail View On Open
Aug 22, 2011In the newest version of Paint.net how do you get the thumbnail view to be the default type of view when opening a file in Windows XP? Instead it always defaults to LIST view when you open the program. In my current old version 3.2 it saved the last view 'state' you used but this is gone in the newer versions - at least since 2008.
Windows by default saves the last view 'state' of a folder when last accessed and the old version of Paint.net also had this windows behavior. MS Word, Excel, ect.. also has this behavior and saves the last open file view state you used. Paint.net does not respect the windows folders default view state - it uses its own and defaults it to LIST every time.
I have not been able to upgrade Paint.net for years because LIST view is worthless when viewing hundreds of pictures. Is there any way to get the default windows behavior back or is there a setting that saves the file open view state?
Photoshop :: Most Annoying Photoshop Feature!
Nov 16, 2006how to anchor the image down to the baseboard. I'm using a macbook pro and the image is constantly scrolling all over. This could have something to do with the two finger sensitivity of the touch pad. But this also comes into play when using the point to point (polygonal) lasso tool.
While going from point to point with the tool if I drift to the outer borders of my screen the image takes off in the opposite direction. This is the most annoying feature ever introduced to Photoshop.
Hit the spacebar cursor turns to hand and move the image. Is how I used to do it (and still can). Why add this auto scrolling? I'm tired of chasing after the image and constantly recentering it.

Previously ran PSP 9 and PSP X1. All was FINE with thumbnails in Windows Explorer.
Purchased and installed PSP X5
It seem to be doing some hatchet job on pspimage files that I've had stored for several YEARS on this computer. These are files I have NOT opened in X5.
They are showing up as icons for PSP X5 although they were created with earlier versions of the program.
I NEVER authorized any type of conversion. Why would I?
And how do I get the view back without having to install any other program since the view was FINE before installing X5?

Dec 19, 2012Using Vista 64 Viewing PSP files with explorer has proven to be a pain. I have installed Fast Picture Viewer and the PSP file handler and none do anything. I have folder options setup correctly. With X2 I had no problems but starting with X4 and now X5 I have to guess what the file is by the name. I only save PSP files when in layers. PSD don't show either when in layers but do show as a single file (not PSP though). There must be some way to see a thumbnail. I can't even see them from within PSPX5 itself while in Edit mode until I open it up. Why does Corel not make at Codex so we can view their own product properly. Also I know I can browse using the Manage section of PSP but prefer not too as it has alway been too buggy, I only use the edit section.

I do not like using the pic display at the bottom of my screen. I want the largest workspace possible.
