I'm trying to create pipe route using the tube & pipe run. And its not constrained when I try to drag away. I tried grounding the components which is not working either. since the routing opens in 3dsketch its kinda tricky to make it fully constrained.
you can see what i mean in the following picture examples.
Selecting a brush (any 1 pixel) brush
[URL]........
shows my selection . Drawing a straight line
[URL]........
Zooming in to the line (600%) you can see i can draw a marquee through half of it ...

No matter what 1 single pixel brush i use this will happen... no matter which computer i use cs6 on and different copies of the installation. Anyway have any insight into this? frankly... it's somewhat limiting that i can't use the brush for stroking a shape if i need a pixel line and yet soft curves that a pencil won't get you.
I'm using a tablet with gimp and I want to be able to set the brush size for the paint brush and also for the eraser, separately. What happens now is that I'll set the paintbrush size to 10px, paint for a little while, turn the pen over to erase and the eraser will now be at 10px. So I'll adjust the eraser size to something like 50px, erase, turn over, and now the paintbrush is at 50px. Grrrrrrr... I tried creating new brushes for both the paintbrush and the eraser, but there's no brush size option. This is my first time using gimp so I'm probably missing something.
The closer I got to the same look was to create a brush with the size of 1 pixel and 500% spacing, but it's still a bit slow to get even a small area looking like it's been sprayed. Plus, in the end my pattern looks too regular, not very natural. Here is part of the image whose look I'm trying to recreate (400% and 100%).
I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I have colored in a part of a picture using the magic wand selection tool, then paint bucket. There is still some missed areas So I try to use the paintbrush tool .
However the paintbrush tool isn't applying any color (with me) .
How to create an animated route along a map. Here's the final image...
While these steps will only show how to add a single route to a map, you can add as many routes as you would like and even instruct the script to start on any layer or have any number of frames.
I'm using GIMP 2.6.6 for the tutorial. You will need the following script installed to complete the tutorial ->Animated Path Stroking Script Suite. The script zip file was updated today (December 26, 2013) to include brushes from GIMP 2.6. GIMP 2.8 no longer uses them, but in order to run the script effectively without having to modify the script itself, please add the brushes to your GIMP brushes folder here: C:/Program Files/GIMP-2.0/share/gimp2.0/brushes There have been no changes to the script, so if you have the previous version, there is no need to install it.
It's probably a good idea to have the animation settings script installed on your computer so you can quickly adjust the timing of the layers. That script can be download here-> saulgoode's animation settings script
Let's begin.
Step 1
Open up your desired map in GIMP. I'm using one from Google that's near my house in Central Florida and I'll show you how to get to Disney World.
Step 2
Create a duplicate of the map so you have two layers. Here's a screenshot of the layer dialog window.
Step 3
Grab your path tool and start creating your path on the image. Here's what my path looks like. I started near the green dot and finished at the red dot. The path will be painted in the direction you draw it.
Step 4
With your path now drawn, make your top layer active by clicking on it in the layer dialog window...(It's highlighted in blue in my screenshot.) This is the layer we will start drawing on. The bottom layer will be left untouched.
Step 5
Choose the brush you want to paint with. I chose the Circle Fuzzy (07) and set the spacing to 1.0
Step 6
Click on the Paths Tab in GIMP and it will show the path dialog window and all of the paths you have for that image. Right now, we should only have one. Right-click on that path and choose Animated Path Stroking.
Here's the settings I picked...
Click OK and script will do the rest and your animation should look something like so:
Step 7
If you want to alter the speed of the layers, make sure you installed the Animation Settings script I recommended at the beginning of the tutorial and go to Filters > Animation > Settings... Under delay you set the timing. The larger the number the longer the delay. I picked 100 and set the mode to Replace. I then added a longer delay (1.5 seconds or 1500 ms) to my first and last frames. To do that, I double-clicked on the layer name changed the timing number to (1500ms), and then hit the <Enter> key. Make sure you hit the <Enter> key so that GIMP will know to make the changes.
That's it! Give it a shot and see what you come up with. Try adding more routes to the map, changing brush size, colors, and altering the number of frames they are drawn over. Don't be afraid to experiment with the settings. Undo is your friend!
I've got a customer that I'm working with where we need to route some text on panel goods. However, as we all know, when you explode text it don't look too pretty since you lose the fancy curves and such.
That said, a solution to smoothing out the curves that doesn't require hours of tracing each letter with a spline? Any way that I can get some vector linework.
I am having an issue with pipe and tube routing in inventor. I am new to it and every once in a while a route that i create turns red in the browser bar, I also noticed that a few of the routes have issues where the adaptivity gets turned off by itself. I assume this has something to do with the route turning red.
I am fairly new to 3D Max animation. My intention is to first import a Google earth image which shows the route from House A to House B. Then by 3D Max animation I want to show the direction from House A to House B. The aim of the animation is to just show the direction from House A to House B.
As a first step I want to import the image to Max. Then by keeping that image as a background. I want animate a direction arrow which is comprised of spheres and an Arrow head. To understand it better please refer to the following;
S= sphere X = ARROW HEAD
(House A) S1 S2 S3 S4 X (HOUSE B) 0th 5th 10th 15th 20th frame frame frame frame frame
To do this I first create a sphere over the image close to House A then I set a key at 0th frame. After that I am moving the slider to the 5th frame and I am selecting the first sphere and I make a copy of it by holding shift. And then I am placing the 2nd sphere at a distance from 1st sphere after which I set a key at the 5th frame. I am following the same procedure till the 4th sphere.
After this I dont know how should I make the box appear on the 20th frame.
When I try the 'Save copy as' DXF route it does not function. If I click the save button nothing happens and if I click the option button nothing happens either. In 2012 when you click the options button you would have got the option to change the export settings i.e. all sheets etc...
I do have the option to change the file formats via the drop down box in the 'save copy as' dialogue box and dxf etc are listed!
When I right click on the flat pattern in 'Model' there is no button for 'Export' in the list that appears. Therefore I cannot get to the Flat pattern dxf export options prompt as shown in this thread.
Its obvious you should be able to save as a dxf from an inventor idw as the buttons are there they are just not working!
I am having this problem with Autodesk Design Suite Premium. Inventor 2014 will not give me options, and is having problem exporting to autocad dwg. tried a reinstall as it appears to wotk properly on other similar installed machines.
My piping route will not update when I change a dimension when editing the route itself. See below. I can change a dimension, the 3D sketch of the route will update, but the pipe will not move into the correct position. Doing multiple rebuilds and updates does not update the piping.
IV 2010 Tube & Pipe SP4; ACAD Mechanical 2010; 2.5 ghz Xeon Processor 8 gb RAM Windows 7 Professional x64 EVGA GTX 560 2gb DDR5
I've authored custom tube and pipe components, published them to library and created a custom tube and pipe style. But when I want to create a route with my custom style I get this error message "Edit route failed". The style only consists of a pipe and 90 elbow. All the other styles seem to work.
I also tried to create a custom style for tubing with bends and it worked fine so I guess it has something to do with my elbow.
how to create a brush set. I have a bunch of grunge and abstract brushes that are floating around and i want to put them on my photoshop in different categories but i dont want them going into the stock categories (for example i dont want my grunge brushes in my basic brushes set i want to keep it organized) im running a cs4
