View 1 RepliesI am having a problem with Save AS Copy To DXF.
When I try the 'Save copy as' DXF route it does not function. If I click the save button nothing happens and if I click the option button nothing happens either. In 2012 when you click the options button you would have got the option to change the export settings i.e. all sheets etc...
I do have the option to change the file formats via the drop down box in the 'save copy as' dialogue box and dxf etc are listed!
When I right click on the flat pattern in 'Model' there is no button for 'Export' in the list that appears. Therefore I cannot get to the Flat pattern dxf export options prompt as shown in this thread.
Its obvious you should be able to save as a dxf from an inventor idw as the buttons are there they are just not working!
I am having this problem with Autodesk Design Suite Premium. Inventor 2014 will not give me options, and is having problem exporting to autocad dwg. tried a reinstall as it appears to wotk properly on other similar installed machines.
Is there some way we can turn off the auto highlight feature in inventor 2012? I am working in a large assembly and every time I move the cursor over the assembly it is trying to pre highlite parts and assemblys and it really causing alot of delay in my work.
View 8 Replies View Relatedhow to turn off the mouse function when the mouse cursor moves over a feature, such as an edge, point, or surface, and highlights it. I don't want it highlighting the features automatically. I want it to highlight once I click over a feature. My colleagues and I are very distraught by this feature, and will be discontinuing our use of your products that do not allow us to turn this feature off. I'm not sure why you'd want to weed your customer base like this, assuming that I can't turn this option off from the research I've done pouring through the hundreds of complaints related to this issue. I haven't been able to find any posts recently, or regarding Inventor 2013 specificially on this issue, so I was hoping this version had the option of turning it off. Does any of Autodesk's software, such as AutoCAD, have the option of turning it off?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with pipe and tube routing in inventor. I am new to it and every once in a while a route that i create turns red in the browser bar, I also noticed that a few of the routes have issues where the adaptivity gets turned off by itself. I assume this has something to do with the route turning red.

My piping route will not update when I change a dimension when editing the route itself. See below. I can change a dimension, the 3D sketch of the route will update, but the pipe will not move into the correct position. Doing multiple rebuilds and updates does not update the piping.

After creating the route, I can not get it to populate with the actual pipe. How do you get the route to populate with a 1/2" tube or pipe?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've authored custom tube and pipe components, published them to library and created a custom tube and pipe style. But when I want to create a route with my custom style I get this error message "Edit route failed". The style only consists of a pipe and 90 elbow. All the other styles seem to work.
I also tried to create a custom style for tubing with bends and it worked fine so I guess it has something to do with my elbow.
When I'm drawing in 3D and as I move the mouse across the drawing, the faces of my solids highlight automatically. I need to turn this off as needed but cannot find in my notes how that is done.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to show my tube and pipe route sketches in my drawing without populating my routes. In the past my tube and pipe assemblies have caused me and my company many problems. not populating the routes until final release can speed up our process a little bit.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been running into this problem for quite some time and it is annoying. I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2011. I don't know if this makes a difference in regular ACAD or not... I've noticed that if the 'line' command is active and I drag my crosshair over the top of a 3D object the face of that object will highlight and this causes my machine to lock up and I have to restart everything. Is there a way to turn off this auto-selecting face attribute? PIC1.jpg
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to be able to have a function run another function with the secondary function being passed as an argument to the first. I'm trying to create a recursive function and the recursive part works great. I just need to be able to have the recursive function run other functions to actually do stuff.
Here is something I found that should do what I need, mainly run a function from a function name in a variable.
Sub test() Dim ftnName As String Dim argument As String Dim result As String ftnName = "myFunction" argument = "cat" result = Application.Run(ftnName, argument) MsgBox resultEnd SubFunction myFunction(inString As String) As String myFunction = inString & " has " & Len(inString) & " letters."End Function
However I get the error "object required" on the "result = Application.Run(ftnName, argument)" line. So I'm guessing the Inventor VBA doesn't like this method of doing this. I'm just hoping there is a way to do this or this function will be useless or reduced to hardcoding functions which still defeats the purpose.
I would like to disable the auto scroll function. I am tired of getting thrown around in photoshop and indesign. if this can be done and if so, how to do it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI find the Organizer function extremely awkward and non-productive. I have thousands of images on m computer and I know where they are. The Organizer just makes things very difficult. How can I turn it off and have a simple directory tree straight out of Windows to locate my images for processing. Paintshop Pro does this very well. I DO NOT need all the fancy bells and whistles found in Organizer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?
When you create a shape, a circle in this case, with the shape tool, it automatically anti-aliases. I need it to not be antialiased, because I will be using it in a game and if I mask the background color, but the anti-aliased pixels are in between colors, then they will show up and it will look bad.
I had to reinstall Photoshop, and before I reinstalled it, there was a checkbox when making a shape that you could uncheck to stop anti-aliasing, but for some reason, it's dissapeared on me now. Anyone know how to turn off auto-antialising?
Whenever I try to draw a shape, the shape automatically merges onto the layer below it instead of becoming a "shape" layer. It's quite frustrating because it means that I can't move my shapes around without creating a new layer, and then it gets hard to keep track of the layers. How do I turn off this feature?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk, before a bunch of you tell me I need to go to my preferences and uncheck the "Resize image during place" option, I've already done that and it's till resizing which is whay I'm here.
Ok, so here's the story:
I built a pixel perfect graphic in Illustrator. Working space have identical pixel resolutions in both my illustrator and photoshop files. When I copy and paste my vector graphic to photoshop as a smart object it automatically resizes to an illogical size. SO currently, my 436x436 graphic tries to paste in to my 2048x1536 file as 1607x1607. I don't get it. I've rebooted with the same result. Everything I've been able to find on the forums so far seem to indicate that unchecking the "Resize" option should prevent this but it's having no effect. I am running the latest version of CS6 (subscription) and starting to get a little bit crunchy.

Is there a way to turn off the auto-insert into Power clip feature (nuisance)?
I know I can hold down the "F" key to ignore, but seriously, this is a pain in the neck. Yes, I use Power clips extensively, but I need to control them instead of them controlling me.
I have CorelDraw 11. and I want to turn the Auto Caps off.
So if I type MHz Corel wont turn it into Mhz.
