Photoshop :: Turn Off Auto Palette Docking?
Jun 16, 2012How can i turn off the insane automated palettes docking. When i touch the wrong place, i dont want it to go crazy and rearrage itself into something difficult to use.

AutoCad 2D :: Palette Docking / Size
Aug 22, 2012I had my Layer Properties Manager and Properties pallets docked to the left side, and had the Layer Property Manager pop out at a specific height-(tall enough only to show the 10 layers in my drawings) so as to still be able to view most of the screen. Now, the palettes are 'locked' in height- (anchored to the left, but full window height), and I can not re-size it unless I un-dock...but when I re-dock, it goes back to full window height. Does that make sense?

Nov 1, 2013I just wanted to say that it appeared sometime in X5. I didn't install X5 until SP3 was available. I don't know if it first showed up in one of the SPs since I only ever installed SP3. In X4, I work with the Histogram Palette docked below the image at all times so I can monitor what is happening as I work within the various adjustments. If I check/uncheck the "Preview on Image" box, I can toggle the differences on the histogram as I work. This is invaluable functionality. I depend on it for my work. [I wish the Histogram window would give me readouts of Histogram values when I place my mouse over the Histogram window, but that is an enhancement request for another day.] Now with X5, I can ONLY dock the Histogram window over on the right side. This is about the most braindead place for it, as the width is extremely limited, which limits the scale at which change information is displayed to the point of being useless. Seemingly more braindead, while docked, the only dimension in which the Histogram can be expanded without sacrificing image preview size is vertically. Corel has taken what was a very useful tool and rendered it mostly useless. Knowing this is also a problem in X6, I will not be purchasing that version unless it has been fixed, which I gather has not happened yet. I tried to Save an X4 Workspace and Load it into X5, but X5 cannot even open an X4 Workspace. I guess Workspaces are another USELESS "feature" since Corel seems not to preserve basic function across Revs.

Apr 20, 2012I like to have all my palettes docked, however, the Properties Palette won't stay docked after closing and reopening AutoCAD. Every time I open AutoCAD, the Properties Palette reverts to its undocked status (all other docked palettes stay put). Is there any way to remedy this? It's a pain to have to redock it every time I open the program.

Sep 5, 2013When i click any tool on the left the pop-out options turns up direct. Earlier you had to click and hold on the little arrow in the bottom right to pop-out that.

Photoshop :: How To Turn Off Auto-antialising
Jun 15, 2006When you create a shape, a circle in this case, with the shape tool, it automatically anti-aliases. I need it to not be antialiased, because I will be using it in a game and if I mask the background color, but the anti-aliased pixels are in between colors, then they will show up and it will look bad.
I had to reinstall Photoshop, and before I reinstalled it, there was a checkbox when making a shape that you could uncheck to stop anti-aliasing, but for some reason, it's dissapeared on me now. Anyone know how to turn off auto-antialising?

Dec 27, 2007Whenever I try to draw a shape, the shape automatically merges onto the layer below it instead of becoming a "shape" layer. It's quite frustrating because it means that I can't move my shapes around without creating a new layer, and then it gets hard to keep track of the layers. How do I turn off this feature?

Sep 18, 2012Ok, before a bunch of you tell me I need to go to my preferences and uncheck the "Resize image during place" option, I've already done that and it's till resizing which is whay I'm here.
Ok, so here's the story:
I built a pixel perfect graphic in Illustrator. Working space have identical pixel resolutions in both my illustrator and photoshop files. When I copy and paste my vector graphic to photoshop as a smart object it automatically resizes to an illogical size. SO currently, my 436x436 graphic tries to paste in to my 2048x1536 file as 1607x1607. I don't get it. I've rebooted with the same result. Everything I've been able to find on the forums so far seem to indicate that unchecking the "Resize" option should prevent this but it's having no effect. I am running the latest version of CS6 (subscription) and starting to get a little bit crunchy.

Nov 2, 2013I hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. I've noticed that if the 'line' command is active and I drag my crosshair over the top of a 3D object the face of that object will highlight and this causes my machine to lock up and I have to restart everything.
