Photoshop Elements :: Getting A Message To Turn Off Auto Analyzer?
May 26, 2013
I just purchased Elements 11 and tried to update the software and I get a message to turn off auto analyzer . what this is and where do I find it to turn it off...
It's been running in the background on my computer for several days now. I'm willing to let it finish, if it does indeed finish... but if its normal way of operating is to use 100% CPU when idle for ever... then I'll shut it off.
BTW, I am not asking how to turn it off, I know how to do that. I'd just like to know that it will reach the end of my library at some point and then only run on new additions.
How do I close elements auto analyzer? I am trying to download a new camera raw version - elements 11 - and it has 2 seconds left but will go no further as the elements auto analyzer will not close. I went to organizer - edit - preferences - media analyzer - unchecked run at start up but nothing has changed.! I have been struggling with importing raw files from my Panasonic FZ200 for weeks and was 2 seconds to fixing it!
For those who disabled the PSE 12 Auto Analyzer by putting a space into its name, be sure to go back and take the space out before running the 12.1. update. The update resets the auto analyzer to its original state, so you will need to go back and redo everything if you want to prevent it from running all the time after the update.
My Elements editor was crashing every time I open a new file. So I reinstalled PSE 12. After the reinstall the options for auto analizer are missing from the dialog.I have tried the reset options button, but that did not fix it.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 12 with Windows 7 on Intel i7-3960x. OS and program are on SSD. Files on HHD. Experiencing frequent Organizer crashes especially while updating faces or scrolling, but it will also crash when it not active (just sitting in background). I turned off auto analysis and so far no crash. I have tried remove and reinstall, repair cat, optimize, etc. No luck. I have about 50,000 files in catalouge.
Well, after two days, Organizer 12 still crashing whether or not analyzer is active. Tried reloading program to same drive photos are on. Still crashing. Removed Premiere 12, still craches. Also, running face analysis on a single picture faile to find any faces - even on pictures with clear, easily identifyable faces. I am getting tired of seeing "Elements 12 Organizer has stopped working". I did not have these problems with earlier editions.
A day later. So I had a chat session with Adobe and the recommendation was to create a new catalog and start over. The suspected cause of the problem was corrupted imported tags. I did not follow the recommentation. I went back to my catalog and looked through the imported tags (using the large icons selection). I found one tag connected to Facebook and a couple of tags with busted icons. I deleted them. I created new tags to replace the imported tags and deleted all the imported tags. The program has been solid for two days and a lot of usage.
When you create a shape, a circle in this case, with the shape tool, it automatically anti-aliases. I need it to not be antialiased, because I will be using it in a game and if I mask the background color, but the anti-aliased pixels are in between colors, then they will show up and it will look bad.
I had to reinstall Photoshop, and before I reinstalled it, there was a checkbox when making a shape that you could uncheck to stop anti-aliasing, but for some reason, it's dissapeared on me now. Anyone know how to turn off auto-antialising?
Whenever I try to draw a shape, the shape automatically merges onto the layer below it instead of becoming a "shape" layer. It's quite frustrating because it means that I can't move my shapes around without creating a new layer, and then it gets hard to keep track of the layers. How do I turn off this feature?
How can i turn off the insane automated palettes docking. When i touch the wrong place, i dont want it to go crazy and rearrage itself into something difficult to use.
Ok, before a bunch of you tell me I need to go to my preferences and uncheck the "Resize image during place" option, I've already done that and it's till resizing which is whay I'm here.
Ok, so here's the story:
I built a pixel perfect graphic in Illustrator. Working space have identical pixel resolutions in both my illustrator and photoshop files. When I copy and paste my vector graphic to photoshop as a smart object it automatically resizes to an illogical size. SO currently, my 436x436 graphic tries to paste in to my 2048x1536 file as 1607x1607. I don't get it. I've rebooted with the same result. Everything I've been able to find on the forums so far seem to indicate that unchecking the "Resize" option should prevent this but it's having no effect. I am running the latest version of CS6 (subscription) and starting to get a little bit crunchy.
I hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?
I just bought this program and when ever I go to save or export, image automatically trims itself. How do I turn off the auto trimming, so to leave open page space around images like how it shows in the work area?
When I'm drawing in 3D and as I move the mouse across the drawing, the faces of my solids highlight automatically. I need to turn this off as needed but cannot find in my notes how that is done.
When I insert an SD card in my computer (or flash drive), Lightroom automatically launches. How do I turn this off? It is really interfering with my ability to get other work done on the computer since I put my flash drive in 20 times a day. I have Windows 7, and use Lightroom 3.
I keep getting the error message "For the Photoshop UI to display correctly, open System Preferences, click Appearance, and turn off text smoothing for font sizes 8 and smaller." I go into preferences and into general but there is no setting to turn off text smoothing for a specific font. I'm in osx mavericks and all it says is "use lsd font smoothing when available" and when I uncheck it, the error message in photoshop still pops up.
I have photoshop elements 11. People analyzer will not recognize people or allow me to tag people in my photos. It works with my older camera photos such as from my Nikon D300 but will not work with photos from my D800 (RAW).
How do you turn off the 'image is offline or missing' dialog when no drives are hooked with the source files. I'm on LR3, and I don't remember this being an issue with LR2. Doing a client presentation with my MBP and the files are indeed offline. I usually my client selection process from the grid and loupe views, but I'm getting this message, pretty large across the top of the image. I don't remember this being an issue before, so either it wasn't there at all, or the text was smaller.
Is there a way to turn off the auto-insert into Power clip feature (nuisance)?
I know I can hold down the "F" key to ignore, but seriously, this is a pain in the neck. Yes, I use Power clips extensively, but I need to control them instead of them controlling me.
When I am working with 3D models, autocad keeps changing my ucs by a face I am near. I want to work in the current ucs and not change. How to change this setting?
I've been running into this problem for quite some time and it is annoying. I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2011. I don't know if this makes a difference in regular ACAD or not... I've noticed that if the 'line' command is active and I drag my crosshair over the top of a 3D object the face of that object will highlight and this causes my machine to lock up and I have to restart everything. Is there a way to turn off this auto-selecting face attribute? PIC1.jpg
