Aug 27, 2011I would like to turn off the auto-rotation of some pictures when I open them in X3. There is an option to do this in X but it is missing in X3.

Jan 15, 2013I've had PSP X3 for a while but it was too much for my old XP machine. With a new Win7 pc, I've installed PSP X3. The "auto hide" function is missing from the palettes. I have PSP8 and PSP10 so I've used the feature before.

Sep 8, 2011I have been using PSP since jasc released version 4. I was a long time user of 7, 9 and then X2.
Beginning with X3 and now X4 the Auto-Preserve function does not work. I especially miss this feature when running batch process. This is my primary reason fro skipping over X3 waiting for X4.
The function works fine in x2, but it never did in the trials of X3 or now the trial of X4. The feature is enabled. I selected "Yes, do this every time" the first edit I preformed. Verified in preferences as well.
Paint Shop Pro :: X4 Auto Save Not Working?
Jan 11, 2012In earlier versions I was given the option of enabling the Auto Save feature, and choosing the time intervals between saves. I chose every 2 minutes. If it crashed or was shut down in a reboot, the images on which I was working were recovered with their layers intact. Nothing was lost. I do not have that option in Version X4.

Jan 23, 2013I want to turn OFF autosave. I cannot handle frequent interruptions while cloning, painting, ... etc. as PSP saves my large file every other minute!!!
I have looked at the AutoSave Preferences, and read the related HELP, but cannot turn Autosave off as documented. There is no check box next to the "Save edits ..." line in the Preferences --> Autosave Settings on the Adjust Workspace tab. My only option is to say OK or cancel. I cannot change anything!

Jul 6, 2011Every time I insert a USB stick or CD or DVD which contains image files I get a popup window asking me if I want to download those files.
I know that I can disable this annoying window by running MSCONFIG and then selecting STARTUP and then unselecting CorelIOMonitor and Corel Photo Downloader but is there another way of disabling it (as I really prefer not to change STARTUP.

May 12, 2013Auto save, in my opinion, is a pain, so I have removed the tick from the box and hope never to see it again.
Are these temporary files? Or are they saved to an unknown location to build up into a every increasing file. I have inspected the X5 folders and files, but can't locate where these files end up.
Paint Shop Pro :: Tabbed Windows Turn Off
Feb 6, 2012I have turned off tabbed windows in the Window menu and can now open my images in their own automatically sized windows as before. The problem is that if for any reason I double click on an open image, all images switch back to tabbed mode. To revert to non-tabbed mode I then have to use the Window menu again but it then cascades the images in identically sized windows and to get back to my original layout I have to click each one in turn and select "Fit to Image" from the Window menu.
Why would I double click an image in the first place? Well normally I wouldn't but it is surprising how easily it can be done by accident. If at that time I have 20-30 images open, which is often the case, it is very time consuming to reset them all.

Paint Shop Pro :: Workspace Auto-loads Unwanted Image
Jun 7, 2013I can open PSP X4 and edit and process images as desired. My workspace opens to Edit, as I've located that menu selection. I do not have any saved workspace configurations/files. Based on what I've read in the few hundred messages so far, I'd like to avoid a full reset of the program defaults, but if that's the only option, so it goes.
What is happening is that in as-yet undetermined situations, I get an automatic load of an old image. I've been able to recognize that the image that happens to load is the first one in the tray on the Manage tab. I don't use the Manage tab at all and only ventured over there as part of the preliminary diagnostic process to posting this message. Once I discovered that, I renamed the image in the tray and the sequence repeated with the next image in the tray, which repositioned itself to the first location.
I can "force" an auto-load in the edit window simply by starting with an empty edit window, clicking on the Manage tab and then back to the edit window. The first image in the tray magically appears. This magic also happens when I've closed another image that's been loaded. Of course, now that I'm posting this, I can't make it happen other than in the manner described above.
I'd like to have it so when I close the image in the edit window that I'm left with a blank edit window on a consistent basis. If I can determine how the image auto-loads in a manner different than described above, I'll add it here.

I found where PSP saves the temp files and I recovered several of them. Is it possible to use these files to recover my data?

Nov 2, 2013I hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?

Jun 15, 2006When you create a shape, a circle in this case, with the shape tool, it automatically anti-aliases. I need it to not be antialiased, because I will be using it in a game and if I mask the background color, but the anti-aliased pixels are in between colors, then they will show up and it will look bad.
I had to reinstall Photoshop, and before I reinstalled it, there was a checkbox when making a shape that you could uncheck to stop anti-aliasing, but for some reason, it's dissapeared on me now. Anyone know how to turn off auto-antialising?

Sep 18, 2012Ok, before a bunch of you tell me I need to go to my preferences and uncheck the "Resize image during place" option, I've already done that and it's till resizing which is whay I'm here.
Ok, so here's the story:
I built a pixel perfect graphic in Illustrator. Working space have identical pixel resolutions in both my illustrator and photoshop files. When I copy and paste my vector graphic to photoshop as a smart object it automatically resizes to an illogical size. SO currently, my 436x436 graphic tries to paste in to my 2048x1536 file as 1607x1607. I don't get it. I've rebooted with the same result. Everything I've been able to find on the forums so far seem to indicate that unchecking the "Resize" option should prevent this but it's having no effect. I am running the latest version of CS6 (subscription) and starting to get a little bit crunchy.
