View 10 Replies View RelatedIs there any way I can make the actual Photoshop toolbar bigger? I have a big computer screen, and it seems really small.
I have Photoshop CS3.
I have an image it is on my computer, I am being told it nees to be larger, Hi-Res , and 300dpi. I do not know what any of that means with the exception of bigger. I do not know anything about photoshop either. Is it possible to make a photo bigger, hi res and 300 dpi?

I have a client who would like to create a banner that is 6x5 feet. She supplied me with a very high quality photo that she'd like printed on the banner. Ideally, it would fill up most of the banner. The file size of the photo is 670 mb. In Photoshop's "Image Size" window, it says that it's 12960 x 8640 pixels, 36 x 24 inches, and 360 ppi.
Is there some way to make this photo display larger, short of taking a new photo with a higher resolution? What happens if I up the resolution in the "Image Size" window?
Also wondering why this file would be 670 mb but only 36x24 inches in size... It doesn't seem to add up to me.

I find it difficult to 'see' the small layer thumbnails, they can be made larger or magnified when I run the mouse over.

I want to join 2 images together to make a bigger image, the easiest way to explain it is, say 1 image is 10cm x 5cm and the other is 18cm X 7cm and I want to put both together to make a new image 14cm X 10cm. They need resizing too.

Join (NOT merge) them like this;

Is there a way to make the color picker in the toolbar bigger?
I've been using Illustrator for some time now and find this part of the software to be annoying as I frequently mis-click this tiny area and the switching between foreground and background color is easily mismanaged and you end up changing the colour of the one you didn't intend and then have to make two clicks to remedy that.
Do any other users find this to be a badly designed part of the software?Also, when in the colour creation dialogue the 'preview' tick can somehow be switched to on as default.
I can understand that there are situations where it might be better not to see your colour change in the document in real time, but to have to click this (again very small) tick box again and again feels like bad design.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere are some pictures from a friends wedding in lightroom who are missing/ offline. The problem is that the pictures aren't on my computer or memory card anymore and I already tried a data recovery with Disk Drill. Unfortunately the pictures (documents) which have been found by Disk Drill, are damaged and can't be opened. So the pictures are really gone.
But now I was looking in Lightroom (i've uploaded the pictures with Lightroom in the first place) and I see that the thumbnails are from a reasonable quality. That's why I am wondering if it's possible to larger the thumbnails without losing quality/ pixels. Of course I already tried a few things (SmillaEnlarger & some things in Photoshop), but unfortunately the pictures are still very bad.
Or is there any other way to get this pictures back? I still got the catalogus from Lightroom where the pictures where.

How to make the dimension get bigger and smaller as we “scale” the drawing?
For example, the drawing in the screenshot below is scaled by 0.5 but that didn’t affect the “size” of the dimension (height of the text, extension lines, …).
Is there a way to get the dimension line affected as we scale the drawing such that the “dimension text” and the “extension line” are increased/ decreased with the scale factor?
Software: AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD C3D, AutoCAD M3D, Revit
Windows 7 (Ultimate 64 bits),
Firefox 20.0,
Kaspersky 2013.
I have a big assembly. It used to have aprox 280kB.
I have created the five flexible assemblies and it grew up to 2100KB and became
quite slow even with a lot of supressed parts.
The question is: should I blame the flexible stuff for this slowup?
I just started to use mudbox for a class assignment, and I am having trouble getting the views to move. I'm usedto 3DS max where all I had to do was holde down the mouse wheel and drag, but I am not getting the same effect in Mudbox.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to make a icon for Vista (actually Windows 7 RC, but it uses the same guidelines) and simply cannot get it to work. I have my icon made in a 256x256 size and saved into .png. I edit the .xml file for my library that I want the icon to go for, but it simply changes it to the default folder icon. The XML coding is right, the location is correct, so it must lie within how I made the icon.Now, I know the default icon in the "Vista guideline" requires 256x256 and 11 other sizes; I had figured this would just downsize automatically. Do I resize the icon manually in seperate layers or what?And I apologize if this is the wrong place or this has been answered. I've searched the internet for at least 30 minutes, searched this forum lightly and came up empty. Also sorry if this seems more like a Windows issue rather than a Photoshop issue, but generally going into a Windows forum and asking this will get you a bunch of garbage, seeing as they may or may not have experience with making icons.P.S. The PNG is not interlaced;

I found this on a website that supposedly has tutorials for this kind of thing, but I couldn't find anything except a download link, which I found on this part of the site (scroll down until you get to "3D Transparent Glass Text Effect"):

Thing is, the downloaded .zip doesn't seem to contain anything I can use. There's a .pat file, but I get an error every time I try to get GIMP to use it. There's also a .psd file (which I know is technically for Photoshop), but when I open that in GIMP, it's just two layers of a slightly faded black text saying "etc" on a background, all covered up by a big black rectangle.
i'm trying to make a XMB icon's for my Playstation 3. I have all the cutouts and everything but I want to add textures to the shapes eg Controller shape, the house shaped (uh, shape) etc. WITHOUT overlapping the texture, and going straight into shape with the pic. View 1 Replies View Relatednow that i am weeding myself off of my Intuous and using my Cintique as my mouse-source for both of my monitors, it is more important to have my macro (and other CorelDraw windows) open on my second monitor (where CorelDraw is).
presently, i have Ultramon to force-open Coreldraw onto my second monitor; but when i open a macro window (such as Select Same), it opens on my primary monitor.
is there a setting to change this? or (shiver) a line of code to add to the macro itself?
