View 6 RepliesI find it difficult to 'see' the small layer thumbnails, they can be made larger or magnified when I run the mouse over.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing where I need to open the layer manager to turn on a layer in a view port but cannot get to that particular column. As you look across the top of the layer manager I can see all the headings of each column beginning with "Name", "Status", "On" and so forth. The last column heading I see is "Description" but I need to go even further to the right to get to the column I need to be at but can't get there. There is no scroll button on the bottom of the layer manager which would allow me to do that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to make the dimension get bigger and smaller as we “scale” the drawing?
For example, the drawing in the screenshot below is scaled by 0.5 but that didn’t affect the “size” of the dimension (height of the text, extension lines, …).
Is there a way to get the dimension line affected as we scale the drawing such that the “dimension text” and the “extension line” are increased/ decreased with the scale factor?

How to get the classic layour manger to use the ACA layer manager tools?
In 2008 before the floating layer manager the manager looked as the Classic version does now in AutoCAD ACA 2012 with the tool of "new layer from standard". This tool now only seems to be in the floating layer manager and when I switch to Classic manager the "new layer from standard" is removed from the dialog box.
I want to use the classic dialog but have access to the "new layer from standard" tool
Not sure if this is a graphics card issue or not but I'm running autocad architecture 2011 and when I open the layer dialogue box none of the layer names, linetypes, colors and such show's up. The box opens fine, but I can't see anything within the dialogue box. The file that is currently open shows through into the dialogue box.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a big assembly. It used to have aprox 280kB.
I have created the five flexible assemblies and it grew up to 2100KB and became
quite slow even with a lot of supressed parts.
The question is: should I blame the flexible stuff for this slowup?
I'm currently using AutoCAD LT 2012 and when I create a new layer and set it as current in the layer manager, regardless of what color I set the new layer to, the new layer's color remains the same as the previous one in the properties box even though the colors of the layers are always set to "by layer."

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a client who would like to create a banner that is 6x5 feet. She supplied me with a very high quality photo that she'd like printed on the banner. Ideally, it would fill up most of the banner. The file size of the photo is 670 mb. In Photoshop's "Image Size" window, it says that it's 12960 x 8640 pixels, 36 x 24 inches, and 360 ppi.
Is there some way to make this photo display larger, short of taking a new photo with a higher resolution? What happens if I up the resolution in the "Image Size" window?
Also wondering why this file would be 670 mb but only 36x24 inches in size... It doesn't seem to add up to me.

I want to join 2 images together to make a bigger image, the easiest way to explain it is, say 1 image is 10cm x 5cm and the other is 18cm X 7cm and I want to put both together to make a new image 14cm X 10cm. They need resizing too.

Join (NOT merge) them like this;

Is there a way to make the color picker in the toolbar bigger?
I've been using Illustrator for some time now and find this part of the software to be annoying as I frequently mis-click this tiny area and the switching between foreground and background color is easily mismanaged and you end up changing the colour of the one you didn't intend and then have to make two clicks to remedy that.
Do any other users find this to be a badly designed part of the software? Also, when in the colour creation dialogue the 'preview' tick can somehow be switched to on as default.
I can understand that there are situations where it might be better not to see your colour change in the document in real time, but to have to click this (again very small) tick box again and again feels like bad design.
this is how i usually duplicate a layer, by dragging and dropping to the new layer icon at the bottom of the palette. it is not letting me do that.
also, when i select a a single, or group of layers and move them around in the palette, i thought it used.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere are some pictures from a friends wedding in lightroom who are missing/ offline. The problem is that the pictures aren't on my computer or memory card anymore and I already tried a data recovery with Disk Drill. Unfortunately the pictures (documents) which have been found by Disk Drill, are damaged and can't be opened. So the pictures are really gone.
But now I was looking in Lightroom (i've uploaded the pictures with Lightroom in the first place) and I see that the thumbnails are from a reasonable quality. That's why I am wondering if it's possible to larger the thumbnails without losing quality/ pixels. Of course I already tried a few things (SmillaEnlarger & some things in Photoshop), but unfortunately the pictures are still very bad.
Or is there any other way to get this pictures back? I still got the catalogus from Lightroom where the pictures where.
