Maya :: Getting Error While Loading Bullet Plugin
Jul 6, 2012I am trying to load Bullet plugin in Maya2013 on Ubuntu. I got this error when I try to do so:
# Error: file: /usr/autodesk/maya2013-x64/scripts/startup/bulletInitUI.mel line 29: ImportError: file /usr/autodesk/maya2013-x64/lib/python26.zip/hashlib.py line 63: No module named _md5 #
Searching on web I find out that similar happened with PyMel but solutions from there do not work. I see that libssl and libcrypto are already in Maya lib folder, symlinked from support folder. How can I find out what exactly is missing here, or what is Maya (Bullet) compiled with so I can fix this?

( opening another version will not due ) I need to be able to toggle off when it loads due to the recent installation of a competing product. But dependant on the situation there are times when i will want both to open.

Jul 6, 2013I am pretty new to maya, and have been trying to export my model to FBX format in order to use it in my XNA game.
Problem is, whenever I export, maya gives me an error window saying "Warning: unable to export some materials", and "The plug-in does not support the following material types: Material mia_material_x_passes14 will be exported as a grey Lambert material" 7 times in the 'description' part of the error window.
Maya :: Hotfix 2 / PhysX Has Disappeared - No Plugin Reference Or Shelf
Jun 2, 2011I have Maya 2012 Creation Suite x64 on Windows7, and just installed Hotfix 2.
PhysX has now disappeared, no plugin reference or shelf.
I've tried loading physx.mll manually, but reports missing procedures.
Also tried setting MAYA_PLUGIN_PATH to the nVidia Maya plugin directory, no luck.
What am I missing, and what did Hotfix 2 do?

May 26, 2011I bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?
Paint Shop Pro :: X3 Won't Respond On Loading / No Error Msg
Jul 10, 2012My PSP X3 locked up and I had to use the Task Manager to close it due to "not responding." This has repeated each time I have tried to load the program, including trying the suggestion of pressing "Shift" and trying to launch the program on a reset. There's no error message, it doesn't get that far. The welcome screen loads, shows the program is updating the cache, etc. but then it goes to no response, no error message, just 100% locked up. Have to use the Task Manage every single time to get it to close.
Right before this happened yesterday, I also experienced difficulty copy and pasting one image or selection into another. No paste commands would appear. I tried doing the "clear" selection as posted online, but no real answer on that either.
short of uninstalling and going through all that crap again. I'd buy the latest version, but since I've had no end of problems with this version I am hesitant to move forward if there are more bugs.

I don't have Photoshop, by the way. I use .psd format because I work on both GIMP and SAI. I tried to open it at SAI, but there were nothing but lines. The colors went missing.
I really don't want to lost the file, since this is something I work on for months. I can't redraw all the thing I drew since the deadline is in the end of May!

Nov 1, 2011We just moved the Autocad LT installation for one of our users to a new computer and now when opening certain documents, we get the below error. The error didn't originally occur on the old machine, but after re-installing it on that machine, we get it there too. Is there a way to clear the error or find out which plugin we are missing? We have tried installing the plugins on the autodesk website, but weren't able to fix the error.

I save each PSD as a PDF using PhotoShop and then use Acrobat to create the finaly PDF from multiple files.
When this is opened in Internet Explorer, i get errors. When I save the file to my desktop and then open it, it works fine.

Aug 18, 2012I added a new tag to a large batch of photos which then needed to be re-upoaded. It was taking a very long time and about halfway through, I got an error. I started the Publish funtion again and all was fine, but then again with a handful of photos left, I got the error. This time the Publish function didn't move anything and I just got the error. Even after removing the new tag from the remaining photos, I am unable to use the plugin to upload any new photos to my flickr account. I use the flickr library within LR as part of my organization strategy and really don't want to use any other uploader.
The error message in question: Flickr API returned an error message (function flickr.photos.setMeta, message Bad URL found)

May 1, 2012After not having much luck with the last video card, I changed my video card to a device with the Philips 713x chipset
Now when I select video capture I get the following message:

cannot create the video capture filter
I have just installed card (SAA7130 TV PCI card) with latest drivers excluding the software so Video Studio 12 pro is the only capture software on the machine . I also re-installed both card and Video Studio after doing a complete system restore and used CC cleaner to remove any residual data before re-installing.
I need to use video capture within the Video Studio software as I need to use the scene detection functionality.The reason I had to change the card in the first place is that video studio only allowed me to capture in AVI 320x240 and gave 'capture failed' errors with anything else.

The operating system is windows 7 64 bit. I have "Magix movie edit pro 17" and "Cyberlink Video Director" and both of these programs work with the same device and capture. Neather one of these applications are running while using Video Studio. I checked and nothing else is utilizing this USB WDM 2860 device. I reinstalled the software, installed the patches, and uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled them.

Nov 18, 2013I am incurring a fatal error while i am running a plugin i have developed in .NET. I am using AutoCAD 2012 and .NET 4.0. Where the fatal error occurs is when i am filtering a list for specific colors and specific linetypes to populate a listbox with. I did a quite a bit of reading and the only thing i have found is ( in debug compiler is giving a little more memory space for said collection and when i run it in outside of debug it is not. ) Now i dont really understand how to fix this issue or can verify that it really is the issue. is there some type of setting i can change inside of autocad for debugging so it doesn't completely shut down?

Aug 4, 2012I just bought Silver Efex pro 2 after uninstalling a pirated version my sister downloaded. When I try to edit a photo in Silver Efex 2 through Lightroom 4 a box comes up and says unexpected error performing command: bad argument #1 to lower (string expected, got nil). I am not good with computers.
Also is there any way to restore factory defaults all throughout Lightroom. Maybe doing that and reinstalling Silver Efex would work? Even when I deleted the pirated version of Silver Efex the Silver Efex still showed up in the Edit In box. I need to get that one to go away so the new Silver Efex will appear in Edit in box I guess.
