View 2 RepliesI do not find the profile of my lens(Sony/zeiss vario sonnar T F 1,8) in lightroom 5.2 when correcting for lensdistortion. Another lensprofile also from Zeiss comes up (Zeiss Apo sonnar T 2/135 ZE).Is it a similar lens and should I then use it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got LR5 & its upgrade to LR5.3. I cannot find the Smoothness Slider as advertised.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed elements 12 and the install went well, except for all my lightroom images. After installing elements 12 I went to look at my lightroom catalog onlt to find it was no longer there. There was an option to upgrade my elements catalog to lightroom, that seemed to make sense so I did that next.at this point my lightroom (3) catalog is there but there are NO images only blank squares.
At this point I am deeply regretful that I ever upgraded elements 10 to 12, everthing was working just fine till i installed elements 12.
Just got PS CS6 and Illustrator CS6 and went on to edit some pics of my cat. Only to find out that my Lightroom 3.6 doesn't seem to find PNG files exported from RAW using PS CS6.
Is this normal and I have to cough up some more for LR4?
I have just migrated my LR4 to a brand new system and am still getting this anoying error message on export however the images still seem to export. In case you can't rfead it it reads:
Unable to Export: An internal error has occured: Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
Working Win 7 Professional (64bit), Lightroom 4
I am finding that while reviewing / rating my pics lightroom will often lose a pic (pics located within a folder on the desktop - move them to a nas drive later as faster to work from hard drive than accross the newtork when importing and exporting and creating previews etc). I will have a pic on my screen and then use the numeric keypad to rate the pic or the arrow keys to progress to the next pic and then out of the blue lightroom announces that the pic is missing. I look at the hard disk and find that there is now a .swp and .tmp file left in the directory where the pic was. eg below
I can then either rename the tmp file back to a jpg and all is OK but I have just started dragging another copy of the image from the card again. This is not just a lightroom 4 issue I used to have it in Lightroom 3. Its got to the stage where I am now keeping a copy of all images while I do my initial shortlist just incase I lose something which frustrates me somewhat.
I get the following error message when trying to export a file from LR 4.1 using Windows 7:
Unable to Export: An internal error has occurred: Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
I recently have been able to export jpgs into my pictures folder from Coreldraw but now can't. I don't know where they go? I can see my cdr file in the folder but it wont show my jpg file.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't find my lens in the Lens Correction menu. Is there a way to add it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have many sets of bracket images in which I selected one exposure and made edits.
Now I wish separately to export jpgs resized made from the raw without color changes but still cropped. (just a few are)
Using export as original will export the raw image not the jpg I want.
What I suspect I will have to do as a work a around is to export the originals then create a new temp catlog and reimport them and export as the reized jpgs I want and recrop the few that need it.
Can Lightroom (3.6) read GPS data from JPG files?
I've just encoded a batch of assorted JPGs and raw images with HoudahGeo and updated the files in Lightroom by reading the metadata from the files again. As far as I can tell only the raw images are showing GPS data as a result.
I know the date is there because
(a) I can see it in HoudahGeo if I look at the files again and
(b) Aperture picks up the locations correctly.
Is there anyway to pick these up in Lightroom?
I'm new to Lightroom and I would like to add keywords to my jpgs. These have already processed using adobe camera raw. If I add the jpgs to my catalog and then add the keywords, those keywords are not written to the jpgs when I close Lightroom. How do I add the keywords so they are searchable for example using windows search?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had my hard drive replaced by Apple and did a clean install of my programs, no Time Machine.
I have LR 4.3 and CS5. I have always chosen the Edit in PS CS5 option from LR for editing individual RAW files. When I save my photo in PS, I save it as a jpg. Once back in LR, I would have to synchronize the folder in order to import that new jpg and it would show up alongside the original RAW file. Well now, after upgrading to 4.3, synching won't see that new photo that was created. It IS in Finder, but LR doesn't see it.
I have expanded stacks and no filters. Is there anything else I have to do?
If I use Filters/Metadata/File Type, no jpg's appear.
The only way I can see the photo is if I use the Text filter and write .jpg.
How can I get the jpg to show alongside the original RAW file again??
I'm also getting the "File must be saved as a copy"in the PS dialogue, when I save as jpg. Before, it would just save it as the file type is different.
I recently created a new catalog and imported all of my files into Lightroom. All my files seemed to come over, including the .jpg files. I then opened a cr2 file in LR and took it to Photoshop for editing. I saved the psd file and it appeared in my library as I expected. I then did a save as to create 3 different jpg files: filename 4x6.jpg, filename 3x5.jpg and filename 5x7.jpg.
None of these three jpgs came back to LR. So I tried to import them. When I click on the "new" option to import only the new files, these three jpgs do not even show up.
One final note, the box for "treat jpg files next to raw files as seperate files" is checked.how I can get LR to include my jpgs in my library?
I have LR5.3. I've only just noticed this. Not sure if it's been this way for a while or not. When I export from LR and make JPGs as sRGB they are more saturated. Also, when I view in the Web panel the images are more saturated. Is this normal?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI had outsourced some edits, and they sent some back via xmp, and others that were outside LR as JPG. As usual, the xmp files worked great. I had created a subfolder in one of my collections to add the jpg edits, and LR will not allow me to import!
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom CC. I tried to export my RAW images to JPEGS, as I have done in the past, and the jpegs end up pixelated. What am I doing wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently lost my original raw (CR2) files for a set of photos. They were imported and edited in lightroom 4.1. I still have the lightroom catalog but the photo previews are occompanied by the warning "The file name "#####.cr2" is offline or missing". I am aware they are missing, the only version of the photos I still have is the LR preview. Any way to extract the image information in a lightroom preview and save it as a jpg. (Not including doing a screen capture of the preview).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a book created (LR4) and cannot get the pages to export as jpg's. I hit the "export book to jpg" button and nothing happens. I am using a Macbook.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used LR 4 in the past, and when I wanted to export my RAW files into JPEGS I would go to File>Export. I tried to do the same with LR CC, got the page, however, I couldn't figure out what the page should be set up for so that the jpegs went into the same folder as the RAW files. They went into another folder on my C drive. Or I get an error message:
Unable to Export An internal error has occured; Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteEXW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
How can I do what I want to do, which is to export RAW images to JPEGS?
I have a modest collection [19,500] that has a good number of same images but in different folders; need a way to find these duplicates based on image only [not by metadada, nor by file name, etc.].
Like an image recognotion function that could take a selected JPG and then scan the collection and ID any duplicates and where located.
Chasing these down manually is mission impossible; big issue is that same photo has different name in different folders.
Is there a way to delete the LR metadata from files? I can delete the xmp sidecars using the OS, but I also want to delete all the LR metadata from jpgs, etc . Is there a plugin that will do this, or do I have to use exiftool?

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing LR 3, my finished JPG files, exported from RAW, still show a transparent grey area after image straightening/crop is applied. The problem only occurs once images are uploaded via FTP and viewed in Fotostation software.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have updated GPS coordinates using the new Map module but these are not output with the EXIF when I export JPGs.
I have ensured that Remove Location Info is unchecked.
When I go to import and look at my photos (previously edited in PSE9 and saved as a jpg on an external hard drive) they look great. But when I import them some of the photos look weird - too bright usually or the colour has gone all funny. I've deleted them out of LR and then tried importing them but it happens again. Only on a certain few. They are jpgs.
What is happening? In finder on the mac they look normal too. under Import on LR4 they look normal. It's just once they are imported.
Today I took some pictures, mostly RAW, but a few JPGs. Lightroom 4.1RC, Windows 7 64bit..When I use the Lens Correction feature on the RAW photos, the proper lens is selected, a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR.
When I use the Lens Correction feature on the JPG photos, the proper lens is NOT selected, instead I see it has selected a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 14-24 f/2.8G ED. In fact, next to "Model", I cannot even select the proper lens (the 16-85mm lens) because its not in the list.
I shoot raw + JPG and wish that LR 5 had an option not to import JPG when there is a same-named raw file. Lacking that, are there suggestions perhaps for Windows utilities that would do the following (I am on Win7 64-bit with LR 5.2):
I delete all the JPG images before proceeding. That's easy enough; in Windows Explorer, one can sort by type, then delete all the JPGs, or one could open up a command prompt in the directory and "erase *.jpg". But there's a complication; in some modes of the camera, no raw file is generated. In those cases, I just have one .jpg that I want to keep. Here is an example:
img1.cr2
img1.jpg
img2.cr2
img2.jpg
img3.jpg
img4.cr2
img4.jpg
I want to process this directory and end up with one file of each filename, as follows, before doing my import:
img1.cr2
img2.cr2
img3.jpg
img4.cr2
The pseudocode would go something like this:
Sort files by filename fname
IF fname.jpg and fname.cr2 both exist THEN delete fname.jpg
How can I easily do this?
Is there a way to preserve the folder structure of a catalog when exporting JPGs of everything to a new location? I know there is an option to save the export into the same folder as the original file, but i am talking about a completely new location.
