View 4 RepliesCan I auto export like auto import. I want to auto import raw files, add presets, then auto export DNGs or JPGs.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to 3.6 and the import process is now torturously slow. LR 3.6, Windows 7, 9GB RAM. I convert RAW files to DNG on import and save to a network NAS with a direct wired connection. They are large RAW Files (23-30mb) but imports before the upgrade proceeded normally. It now takes about 10 minutes per file... I'm fairly sure that the upgrade is the only change I've made. The import has taken well over three hours -- there's obviously a wrench in the works somewhere.

View 2 Replies View RelatedImages on my laptop from 2 photoshoots in the studio today were EXPORTED from laptop as catlog and imported to desktop as catalog.
I imported without moving the files anywhere since I was instructed to move that folder to its final resting place.
The 125 images were importred into LR4 but I see they are still CR2 files.
Is there a way to convert these to DNG inplace? or is it safe to re-import these. I don't want the side car gig.
Is it possible to import either Step or Iges files into either AutoCad 2005 or 2010?
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe AutoCAD help specifies this procedure to import STEP files..Click Insert tab - Import panel - Import. In the Import File dialog box, in the Files of type box, select (*.stp, *.step).Find and select the STEP file you want to import, or enter the name of the STEP file at File Name. But the import dialogue box does not show this option. Only 3ds, sat, fxb, igs, wmf and dgn.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently created a new catalog and imported all of my files into Lightroom. All my files seemed to come over, including the .jpg files. I then opened a cr2 file in LR and took it to Photoshop for editing. I saved the psd file and it appeared in my library as I expected. I then did a save as to create 3 different jpg files: filename 4x6.jpg, filename 3x5.jpg and filename 5x7.jpg.
None of these three jpgs came back to LR. So I tried to import them. When I click on the "new" option to import only the new files, these three jpgs do not even show up.
One final note, the box for "treat jpg files next to raw files as seperate files" is checked.how I can get LR to include my jpgs in my library?
I had outsourced some edits, and they sent some back via xmp, and others that were outside LR as JPG. As usual, the xmp files worked great. I had created a subfolder in one of my collections to add the jpg edits, and LR will not allow me to import!

98% of our work consist of creating idw drawings of complete factory's plants, large 3d plant models.
Therefore we have many subcontractors and from them we receive 3D step/iges models (size approx. 240MB), we want to be able to import these in to our models. But for the moment we are unable to import these files into inventor (due to size probably), it takes very long (over 36 hours) to convert, and most of the times we get a error... or inventor hangs.
When we are able to convert these we have performance problems because of size of our models.
So my questions are;
- why does it take so long to open,
- how can we reduce these files.
I've been using Lightroom 3 for about 6 months and had no problems at all. Recently I took a bunch of photos in JPG format with my Sony Alpha A350, when I went to import them half of the images were darkened and I can't select them for import. I've always used the same camera and not used any advanced features as I'm still a novice.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have used LR 4 in the past, and when I wanted to export my RAW files into JPEGS I would go to File>Export. I tried to do the same with LR CC, got the page, however, I couldn't figure out what the page should be set up for so that the jpegs went into the same folder as the RAW files. They went into another folder on my C drive. Or I get an error message:
Unable to Export An internal error has occured; Win32 API error 2 ("The system cannot find the file specified.") when calling ShellExecuteEXW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
How can I do what I want to do, which is to export RAW images to JPEGS?
I have recently started using AutoCAD 3D Plant 2011.
I am trying to create a catalog of Valves that we use on site by getting all the 3D blocks from suppliers. A few of our suppliers are sending me STEP files.
What program these are from and if they can be converted to a format that can be used by AutoCAD?
I followed up their way as URL....but still I cannot get correct solid model when I try to convert attached STEP model to IPT. I just can get surface model, but I do not solid one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a STEP file which was made with SolidWorks that I need to get into Max.
The file contains a fair amount of duplicate objects, like 10 highly detailed motors that are used, etc. When I imported the file into Max, I begin experiencing momentary periods of time where max become unusable. I believe this is happening during my auto-saves. So I checked my Max file, it's over 250 MB.
I know the problem is all the duplicated geometry, so how can I tell max, "these two things are the same." Without going through the painstaking task of actually recreating instanced geometry?

I have come across a problem where I import a step file. And it brings in a false surface that is not supposed to be in the file. When I highlight the base of the solid it only highlights what it should (not the false surface). The surface cannot be extrude cut or removed.

I convert all my raw files to DNG files when I import my files in Lightroom. when I exported it as a TIFF to Photoshop CS5 and reimport it in Lightroom 3 the file is in the Library but not in the Develop module. I have to shutdown Lightroom and reopen it to see the TIFF file in the Develop Module. It's getting old.
The problem appeared when I updated to version 3.
Adobe support was nice but said they could not reproduce the problem thus no problem. The problem does exist under Windows 7 64bit or Apple systems.
I think older versions of the Adobe DNG Converter allowed you to convert jpg files to dng.The current version will only convert raw files to dng.
View 17 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to import photos (from several card readers or straight from hard disk) by convertting them to DNG files I only get few of them to Lightroom library. Last time I tested I got 2 out of 16 to library, in Finder I can find all 16 of converted files. I'm using Mountain Lion Os X version 10.8.2, and Lightroom 4.3.
