CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 :: Import SVG File And Convert To Vector Drawing?
Feb 28, 2013Can you download a Google Docs Drawing file as a file.svg type And then import it to CorelDraw and convert it to a bunch of CorelDraw vector based lines that can be modified like any other CorelDraw line drawing?
BTW, this is a drawing of a character and is simply b&w lines & shapes on a white background.Line widths vary in the original and we want to be able to modify them even more using all the tools in CorelDraw.
I was able to open the .svg file with CorelDraw but when attempting to 'Edit' a line in the drawing I couldn't change the line width... so it isn't behaving like a CorelDraw vector drawing.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Batch Convert DWG Files
Jul 28, 2011I've received quite a few DWG files and I would like to batch convert them into PDFs so I can share them with the sales staff. Also, DRAW deals with PDFs much better than DWG and the added feature that the PDFs will have all outlines converted to black.
My workflow now is to open each DWG in DWG True view and plot it to PDF using there built-in engine. It works but I have to convert all outlines to black inside DRAW plus I have to do each file one at a time. I've downloaded a trial version of deskDOC DWG to PDF with less than stellar results .
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 :: Batch Convert Gallery CCX Files To CMX?
Feb 19, 2009Some years ago purchased CorelGallery 1,300,000. The vector clipart came in a .CCX format.
However, the Gallery browser no longer loads into my Service Packed Windows XP. Also XP and Vista cannot display .CCX thumbnails in their respective Explorers.
Today I discovered if I change the file type from .CCX to .CMX. the thumnail displays.
My challenge is how to covert about 500,000 files from one to the other en masse.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Transformations Docker Doesn't Accept Enter For Applying Changes

1. Facing problem of frequent CorelDraw X6 crash while working and seemingly most of the times it even don't sent any error messages to Corel support.
2. Transformations docker doesn't accept enter for applying changes, it only responds when we hit apply. It is good to move through options by using TAB, but it should accept ENTER as “APPLY” as we make desired change in any parameter. Mostly I prefer dockers to property bar.
3. Open and Import dialogue boxes don’t get cancelled as we hit ESC key.
4. Using pick tool double click a group of objects including paragraph text and get desired rotation is still a havoc despite we are using x6 (64-bit). It kills much of our time. See screen shot below:
5. I am also facing problem in EPS editable import as shown in the screen shot below "An error occurred while processing PIEE.eps. The file cannot be opened."
The file is created in x6 and has 2 pages for two print jobs. Both pages has flatten background text and fountain lenses to RGB bitmap. All texts converted to curves. Page 1 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable successfully. Page 2 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable - shown above error. I have also tried importing this page to a fresh file and then created fresh EPS but got the same erroneous result.
As far as my experience with PDF is not good, because sometimes PDF also produces undesired result on RIP specially as RGB images, bar codes, drop shadows etc. I believe that EPS files are far more reliable in prepress jobs.

I am designing a postcard that is 8.5 x 3.66. I set my page size in the layout section to 8.5 x 3.66. In that layout section it also has a bleed button. I check it and type in .125 in. (what the printer requires.
So it adds a dotted line outside . which i understand. Here is my question. When I save as PDF, only the 8.5x3.66 saves and not the bleed area. I need the printer to see the bleed area. They also want crop marks.

Nov 9, 2011I have a 900 x 500 px image in Adobe Illustrator, which overlaps a bit the canvas on the left side.
When I open this file with Corel, it adjusts my graphics so that it's centered on the screen. The AI file is centered on another point. Also, the canvas Corel creates is A4 sized. I always have to resize the canvas and then manually adjust the position of my graphics.
Question: How can I save an AI file so that when I open it at Corel, the position and size of the canvas will be exactly the same?

Jul 2, 2012I have recently upgraded from corel 12 to X6. I work in SignLab e6 on my production computer. Now since I have upgraded when I export files from x6 and import them into SignLab e6 they will not import unless I change everything to 1 color. If it does export the file as full color, when I import the file it is converted to 1 color. This takes a lot of time to re color everything. I typically have to export files from Corel as .EPS in order for the file to import into Signlab with best quality, but have been using the CMX (legacy) lately with same results. I dont understand why I have to convert them into 1 color nor why they convert from full color to 1 color.

Mar 23, 2012Is there a way to convert to curve (with handles)? I Ctrl+Q on a object, then it say convert to curve. But it's a bunch of segments. When I drag them they don't have curve handles, they don't curve. I have again to click on a segment, a * appear. Then click To curve in the property bar.
Can I just put curve handles in one shoot to all the segments of a object (ex a square)? Without to have to do all 4 segments one by one?

It does fix the issue of missing arrowheads on lines, but it doesn't convert the outlines to fills as I expected -- is that correct? I wish there was an option to convert lines to fills on export.
