View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to covert a color photo into black and white but bring back a certain color. How many ways are there to do this? Which method is the most professional (as in provides the most professional finished product) I've read about doing it using the paint brush to bring back the color, also the color selection tool.
The particular image I'm trying to achieve this on is not so simple. The part I want to bring color back into is a dripping pink ice cream, so there are small drips and blobs, often with fair skin color in the background. Ice cream is dripping down face and hands and body and I want to preserve these details accurately. The bits I need to bring back aren't large blocks of color so I'm finding it very difficult to achieve a professional look.
I want to convert a black and white tif image to colour. I opened it in Photoshop, changed the mode to RGB colour/8, saved it as psd, but when I use the Replace Colour dialogue box, I just get my colour showing as grey-scale. What’s the correct way to proceed?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have done a little work and created these images. The blur does not look completely right to me because I just used the free select tool and would copy the coin part of the picture out and paste it back on with a different layer and line it up as well as I could. I would really like to make it look a lot better with no blurred part of the coin in the back ground. I would also like to turn the background of the image B&W and leave the coin in color.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am very new to photography and Lightroom 3.4 64 bit. I have a photo of an apple on the table. I want to get the photo black and white (did that already). Now I want the apple it self to remain its own red color. How do I do that?

I use Lightroom 2.2 to import and convert RAW photos from my Panasonic Lumix LX3 to DNG files. Works great except for one thing:
If I shot a photo using the LX3's 'Black and White Dynamic' preset, Lightroom imports it and a few seconds later, the photo becomes colored (really yellow) instead of remaining black and white.
That's weird since I don't use any Lightroom preset when importing these photos. It seems like Lightroom is applying some type of auto-correction to these photos.
I have a problem with importing pictures from my Leica to LR3.
If the pic's are shot in black and white with the Leica preset, LR3 is changing them into colour images immediately after the import. The pic's are shot in RAW
My RAW files are imported as Black & White images. Did I click on something by mistake?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been working in Lightroom 4 on a photo that I took and I have everything the way I want it (these adjustments include increasing the saturation on some colors under the HSL tab). Now I am trying to make the top half of the picture just black and white, but when I chose the Adjustment Brush and sturn the Saturation down on it to -100 and start going over the top half of the picutre, some of the colors (the ones I turned the Saturation up on under the HSL tab) dull a little but do not go completely Black & White.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI try to use the adjustment brush to put color back into a black and white photo, but all it does now it color it red. How do I fix that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI applied a preset to an image, and overall I like it except that it has a pinkish tone to it. The develop panel shows it as a black and white (not just desaturated) image, and there is no tone applied through the split tone panel (both saturation levels set to 0%). I can't figure out where the color is coming from -- I'd like to reduce it or change the color without having to drag it into Photoshop.
