View 1 RepliesWhen I edit my photos, all of the edits stay but the sharpen. As soon as I switch over to library and/or export the photos, the shapen I did dissapears and only the other edits I did saved. The sharpen stayed when i first got light room but now it doesnt.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I shapen my photos in lightroom I can see that the sharpen tool works but when I export my photos, they don't export with my sharpen changes. Here are my export settings:
JPG
Quality > 100
Color space > sRGB
Resize to fit > unchecked
Resolution > 300 Pixels per inch
What is the difference between sharpen and sharpen copy in the presets section of LR? they seem to have the same effect, dont know which one to use
View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay I'm not an expert photographer and I don't do imaging professionally. I'm a web developer who gets the unfortunate task of building slideshows
I don't need them super sharp just clearer, is it even possible? If so how?
I'd like to create an action that spot heals with a specific brush, with specific brush parameters and centered on a specific pixel - is this possible? I've got 16MP image files coming from a camera with a hot pixel, and I'd like to just run an action on import rather than heal it manually every time.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've used Lightroom 3, 4 and now 5 so I know my way around the software pretty well. Never had an issue like this in previous LR versions. Basically, when I Spot Edit a spot (such as a speck of dust that was on the sensor or lens) there is alway s a "ghost" of the speck that remains, no matter what I do. The Opacity is set to 100, yet the tool behaves as if it is set to 90. It happens with Clone and Heal. I have also tried adjusting the Feather setting, to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got LR4 and a bunch of photos with 3 nasty dust marks.Spot Removal does not allow to mark one of these spots (the pointer does not turn into the marking circle).Probably LR cannot see it as needing repair.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time.
I know that there is "Edit Capture Time" feature under Metadata. But when I try to edit multiple photos, it says that "Modify the capture time stored in the selected photos by entering the correct time adjustment for the photo displayed to the left. Other photos (but not vidieos) will be adjusted by the same amount of time". And it really does.
For example,
If A file's capture time is 1/11/2011
B file's capture time is 1/11/2012
C file's capture time is 1/11/2013
I would like to change their capture time to 1/11/2014. All the three files.
But the current "Edit Capture Time" feature of Lightroom just adds three years to each file like this:
A file's capture time -> 1/11/2014
B file -> 1/11/2015
C file -> 1/11/2016
So their capture times remain as different ones. And this is not I want...
I've googled a lot and tried several programs other than lightroom as well, but the "Capture time" recognized by lightroom could not be changed by other programs.
I have Martin Evening's latest Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 books, but no mention of which methods are better, or better for which subjects/ conditions. It seems that Camera Raw and Lightroom are the same, so I'm tempted to just do it all in Lightroom with the Develop module Detail panel, and the adjustment brush for local sharpening. But can I be doing more with Photoshop CS6, or Lightroom and Photoshop together?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWith LR4, is it no longer necessary to use PK Sharpener? I need to publish several photo books on an HP Indigo (through a company I use called SharedInk) and I'd like to know the best route to take. I can either output sharpen all the images in LR4 or use PKS. I've been told that LR3 is optimized for Inkjet ouput only and not halftone. I'm unsure about LR4.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.
1> Any lisp routine that does what I describe?
or
2> How to make -attedit replace a tag value without regard to what the value currently is (like a * wildcard)?
I tried creating a new catalog, but the same thing happens. Is there a way to fix this, or is the program virtually worthless?

It seems that once a photo is included in a stack it is shown even if it does not contain the specific tag that is filtered.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith both tools, I can make a few changes and then both will leave a black brush spot. It works, and then it is like the program is too challenged & it just leaves a black spot. Sometimes if I move my mouse to the history panel to back up to get rid of the black spot I get a swipe of the tool all across the image when I'm reaching with the mouse to go back in history.
I'm using PSE 11 and a Macbook Pro.
I have placed a photoshop file in illustrator CS, the file contains a spot channel transparency that I want to print as a pantone plate. When I print separations my spot channel prints as a shade of grey. Several other vector items (generated in illustrator) using the same pantone print as a solid 100% black. I'm worried that my file will print with the transparency part of my pantone as a shade of its self when I send the files to the printer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with Lightroom (=LR). When i use "the spot removal tool", there is only one circle, around the spot i want to remove. The other spot, that use to show the clean area that the tool is sampling from, does not come up.
When i left-click on the mouse, LR remove the spot, but i do not have any influance on where LR samples the clean area from.
I have just updated LR from version 4.2 to 4.3, but as far as i remember, the problem was there before i updated.
I use Windows 7, 64 bit version on my PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just started using the image retouching options - spot removal to be specific. (In my defense, I've read instructions, youtubed and googled till I'm blue - So, I click on the Spot Remover tool, then click on the target and drag to the spot I want to "heal" from. As long as I'm holding down the mouse button, I can see the intended result. But as soon as I release the mouse button, it reverts to the original blemish.

View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday I installed LR5 on my desktop and when I went to use the visualize spot tool it was missing. After trying to find the problem, also trying to figure out how to get a hold of Adobe support, I decided to uninstall LR5 and, naturally re-installed it but I still had the same problem. I decided to install LR5 on my laptop and, lo and behold, there was the spot visualization tool. Lightroom does not run well there, it barely a half step above a net book. But the difference between the upgrades is this: on the desk top the upgrade was from LR4.4 while on the laptop the upgrade was fr LR3.6.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded to Lightroom 5. Hadn't used 4 in awhile, but I don't remember ever having this issue in 4.
I am working on multiple images where there are dust spots in the exact same locations, so I am using the heal brush on one, and applying the results to multiple images by syncing "Spot Removal". Sometimes it works, and other times I am left with a strange mark that looks more like a brush stroke. The "Spot Removal" sync is not working.
The images are extremely similar, so the original heal brush (and the chosen source spots) should work fine on all images - that is not the issue. I am syncing hundreds of images at the same time - don't know if that is part of the problem, however I can sync just 2 images that are right next to each othe - sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't.
May go back and try Lightroom 4 again, as I see lot's of issues with Lightroom 5 on forums.
